Project Overview
Talent needed for English VO of a series of short scenes from the visual novel Kara no Shoujo / The Shell Part I: Inferno for use in a long-form video essay. You can find my channel here.
Please be warned, the story being addressed follows a character's mental deterioration and includes themes of death, suicide, and sexual assault.
In addition, if you are otherwise interested in the original visual novel but have not played it yourself, be aware that these are late-game scenes and accepting either role will mean spoiling aspects of the game.
Prior knowledge of the visual novel is a plus for a better understanding of the characters, however I don't expect this as it is not a widely-known game.

Touko Mizuhara is the principal character of these scenes. She is a troubled high school girl with a difficult home life. She has grown increasingly attached to and dependent on her best friend, Toko Kuchiki, to the extent that she believes the two are the same soul in a cyclical state of reincarnation; when one dies they are reborn as the other.
Due to the events of the story thus far, Toko Kuchiki has entered a romantic relationship with another character. This greatly upsets Touko Mizuhara, and the fear of losing her own relationship with Toko is what ignites her downward spiral.
Role consists of internal narration along with some dialogue between herself and Toko Kuchiki.

Toko couldn’t be allowed to change. She had to stay herself. She had to remain the Toko I idolized. This couldn’t be allowed to continue. If it did, then Toko and I would diverge down completely different roads. And if that happened...then I could never become Toko.
Toko Kuchiki is a high school girl who maintains an air of mystery. She shares in her (above) best friend's belief that they are the same reincarnating soul. However, Toko Kuchiki is notably better off than Touko Mizuhara; she comes from a wealthy family and is regarded as beautiful. As a result, though she still cares deeply for her friend, Toko Kuchiki is significantly less psychologically dependent on their relationship than Touko Mizuhara.
