What is the "Voice Acting Rookie Project"?
The VA Rookies is a project started by Phebe (Harudori) to help hobby/aspiring (rookie!) voice actors who do not have much experience in the business, to get in the business! This can range of fandubs. script reading, abridges, comic dubs, etc etc. All projects will be uploaded on the YouTube channel shown above!
What are the qualifications to join?
There are no specific qualifications other than having a decent microphone. T his is a project for those who want to become voice actors. It is expected that those who aspire to do so will have a decent setup in the least. There is no voice acting background required, but is preferred. You must be willing to participate when needed and not cause a tantrum when you are not included in ONE of the MANY projects in the future. When recording, it is expected that you will do each line three times with about .5s+ of silence for the editor to cut between them. More information on how to submit will be given to you later.
1. There is no proper microphone requirement. We have people in this project ranging from an AT2020-full studio to a computer microphone with white noise and echo. Please just be aware that I do have some requirements. I do not want microphones that are at high gain or easily pick up noises from it's surroundings. If you need help with adjusting your microphone, I will be more than willing to do so.
2. You MUST have Discord. ALL of the planning takes place on our Discord Server, which is posted below! PLEASE JOIN EVEN IF YOU AREN'T AUDITIONING! It is a server for voice actors to all meet and communicate with each other.
3. BE NICE! Nobody likes stuck-up people :(
4. There is no age limit to who can join! Our expected age is 13+, however, since Discord's TOS requires users to be over the age of 13.
5. Please do not complain if you aren't accepted into a certain project or a role you wanted was already claimed. We give TONS of opportunities.
6. You do not have to be extremely committed to this project. As long as you get your lines in when needed, then you're good!
7. I would appreciate if you are active on the Discord server. People who I am familiar with are more likely to get cast for roles quicker.

I am more than willing to give advice, tips, and even maybe a one-on-one call with vocal techniques and suggestions to better improve your voice so that you'll want to peruse this career to the max alongside me and the other members of the Voice Acting Rookie Project! (OPTIONAL) I'm sorry to have to say it to your face, Lucy, but it's true. You're a very crabby person. I know your crabbiness has probably become so natural to you now that you're not even aware when you're being crabby, but it's true just the same. You're a very crabby person and you're crabby to just about everyone you meet. Now I hope you don't mind my saying this, Lucy, and I hope you're take it in the spirit that it's meant. I think we should be very open to any opportunity to learn more about ourselves. I think Socrates was very right when he said that one of the first rules for anyone in life is 'Know Thyself'. Well, I guess I've said about enough. I hope I haven't offended you or anything.

Lucy is conducting a survey about what people think about her. Schroeder is very direct with his opinion and defines her as crabby.
(OPTIONAL)Here’s the World One I flying ace high over France in his Sopwith Camel, searching for the infamous Red Baron! I must bring him down! Suddenly, anti-aircraft fire, ‘archie’ we used to call it, begins to burst beneath my plane. The Red Baron has spotted me. Nyahh, Nyahh, Nyahh! You can’t hit me! (aside) Actually, tough flying aces never say ‘Nyahh, Nyahh, Nyahh’. I just, ah… Drat this fog! It’s bad enough having to fight the Red Baron without having to fly in weather like this! All right, Red Baron! Where are you? You can’t hide forever! Ah, the sun has broken through… I can see the woods of Montsec below…and what’s that? It’s a Fokker triplane! Ha! I’ve got you this time, Red Baron (machine gun fire) Aaugh! He’s diving down out of the sun! He’s tricked me again! I’ve got to run! Come on Sopwith Camel, let’s go! Go, Camel, go! I can’t shake him! He’s riddling my plane with bullets! (machine gun fire) Curse you, Red Baron! Curse you and your kind! Curse the evil that causes all this unhappiness! (OPTIONAL) A 'C'? A 'C'? I got a 'C' on my coathanger sculpture? How could anyone get a 'C' in coathanger sculpture? May I ask a question? Was I judged on the piece of sculpture itself? If so, is it not true that time alone can judge a work of art? Or was I judged on my talent? If so, is it fair that I be judged on a part of my life over which I have no control? If I was judged on my effort, then I was judged unfairly, for I tried as hard as I could! Was I judged on what I had learned about this project? If so, then were not you, my teacher, also being judged on your ability to transmit your knowledge to me? Are you willing to share my 'C'? Perhaps I was being judged on the quality of coathanger itself out of which my creation was made...now is this not also unfair? Am I to be judged by the quality of coathangers that are used by the drycleaning establishment that returns our garments? Is that not the responsibility of my parents? Should they not share my 'C'?

Sally was given a C on her coathanger project, and was enraged. She decides to argue against the teacher's decision on her grade.
(OPTIONAL) Do you know what I intend? I intend to be a queen. When I grow up I’m going to be the biggest queen there ever was, and I’ll live in a big palace and when I go out in my coach, all the people will wave and I will shout at them, and...and...in the summertime I will go to my summer palace and I’ll wear my crown in swimming and everything, and all the people will cheer and I will shout at them... What do you mean I can’t be queen? Nobody should be kept from being a queen if she wants to be one. It’s usually just a matter of knowing the right people.. ..well.... if I can’t be a queen, then I’ll be very rich then I will buy myself a queendom. Yes, I will buy myself a queendom and then I’ll kick out the old queen and take over the whole operation myself. I will be head queen."

Lucy is talking to her little brother, Linus, and insisting that she will become a queen and rule some day. She is extremely confident and that everything will go her way.

Video editors will be editing our projects (mostly comic dubs, since that's all we've been doing for awhile). They will be assigned a project to work on and will be given a deadline from the director of that given project.
