Seeking a talented writer to help me build a world for it.
Hello! I've been writing for about 9-10 years now but never tried to seriously create something with a fellow writer. Nowadays writer's block constantly hits. I hope to change that and learn more by finding someone to reignite my love for storytelling. Two brains is always better than one!
At the moment, this project is intentionally bare-bones (to prevent getting attached to specific ideas I might have). Below are a few details, but the rest will only be sent to whoever is chosen.
The genre is psychological thriller with some elements from sci-fi and fantasy. However, not everything is fully dark (but not fully vibrant either). It also contains lighthearted moments and an unsuspecting artstyle, kind of like the vibes DDLC has.
A rather dystopian society where the practices and behavior are seen as normal in their world, but strange to people like us. It's unsettling in a way that it looks right on the surface, but you can tell something's off.

What I'm looking for:
- passionate about worldbuilding and interested in any/all of the following: psychological thriller, sci-fi and fantasy
- enthusiastic, friendly and open to having fun or chatting about the project casually during our session -> We don't have to be close friends, but I can't work with someone who's too dry or professional in DMs. If you feel like it, type in all caps, use emojis, keysmash! Anything to keep our conversations lively, really.
- NO AI. NO TROLLS. NO BIGOTS. I made this paid gig to get a good human writer onboard.
- I'm turning 20 in a few days, so I'd want someone in the 18-24 age range for both parties' comfort.
- No chapter writing required. You just have to help flesh out my concepts and together we'll build a world that suits the narrative. This first brainstorming session is paid.
- If we end up clicking as a group and you find yourself interested in working with me, we can agree to collaborate on this project even more without pay. If not, we can part ways and I can just pay you if I need your services again.
- A Discord account is needed. That's where we will communicate.
- Submit a link of your writing portfolio or a worldbuilding showcase. If you have an account for posting stories and fanfics, you can link that as well.
