David Valencia is a Filipino Canadian writer who immigrated from the Philippines in 2006. Because his parents knew they would be moving to Canada, his parents had him become fluent in English instead of Tagalog, a mistake that would prove costly at any and all family reunions, but arguably helped him become a pretty good writer.

He has an Associates of Arts Degree in Creative Writing from Douglas College and graduated from Vancouver Film School (VFS) with a diploma in scriptwriting after completing their Writing for Film, TV, and Games program. He was also the screenplay writer for the comedy short film, A Boy and His Toys, is a writer for the (currently in production) indie animated series, Silver Lake, and is currently working on his own animated TV show, Arctic Agents.

Eventually, David wants to make enough money through his writing to afford becoming a regular at his local diner, eating bacon and eggs every morning and coming up with the next best kids’ cartoon on their napkins.
