True Beauty [WEBTOON] [Lead/Supporting Roles] [Paid Per Episode]

Project Overview

Description: 

After binge-watching beauty videos online, a shy, comic book fan masters the art of make-up, then sees her social standing skyrocket as she becomes her school’s prettiest pretty girl literally overnight. But will her elite status be short lived? How long can she keep her “real self” a secret? And what about that cute boy she likes? Could you imagine if he found out the truth?


Pricing/Payment Information: 

- Money will be sent through Paypal.

- Voice Actors will be paid per episode.

- Lead/Editors: $5

- Supporting: $3

- Extras: $1 (or more depending on # of lines)

- True Beauty is currently ongoing with 58 episodes.


Requirements: 

- Friendly personality

- Able to get lines in on time

- Doesn’t drop out of the project

- I do not have discord which means we can keep contact through CCC or Email.

- Files will be sent through email. You can either send the lines together or separately.


Deadlines:

- I plan on providing a deadline of 2 weeks for each episode, if you do not think you can do this please do not audition. If everyone gets their lines in sooner then that is even better!


Roles: 

- MORE roles to be added later on. Because there are so many roles and extras it will take some time, so please check back if you are looking for a certain character.

- There is a SECOND casting call for extras. Feel free to audition for both a lead, supporting, and extra.

  • Deadline Changes/Episode 0

    Reminder that this Casting Call is for Episodes 0 - 10. People will be casted by Episode. By this I mean, I will cast the Voice Actors who will be apart of Episode 0, and once Episode 0 is recorded and put up, people who first appear in Episode 1 will be casted, and so on. While originally I was going to cast everyone at the end of October. I found this method to be much easier for me since I will be both writing the script and doing the editing. The deadline for Episode 0 characters, (Jugyeong & Sua), along with the Extras, will all be decided on by the 28th. This means if you want to audition for one of these characters and haven't done so already. Do it as soon as you can. During next week if you have been chosen to be the voice of one of the characters in Episode 0, expect to hear from me before the 28th. By the 28th I want to have contacted everyone who will be in it, and have you ready to start recording. Thank you again everyone!

  • Roles

    I want to let everyone know that the Casting Call for True Beauty will only include the roles for Characters that are in Episodes 0 through Episode 10. Once these Episodes are published, THEN I will post a new Casting Call for new Characters that are introduced in Episodes 10 through 20. ALSO do NOT be discouraged if you do not get casted right away. I am waiting until the deadline to make my decisions. If I contact you about your audition then that means I am highly considering you for the part, I may even ask you for some re-dos or to hear you do the line in a different way. Description: 

Jugyeong is very self-conscious about her looks and was bullied at her previous school. She is very worried about other people finding out how she looks without her makeup and is usually seen with it on, the only exception is at home and going to the comic shop. She rose to popularity at her current school by being known as the pretty girl, so she suppressed her actual interests to fit in with her newfound friends. She likes to listen to rock music and comes off as a "geeky" kind of girl without her makeup.

She also enjoys reading comics and is seen reading comics and magazines along with going to the comic shop where she frequently runs into Suho.


Voice: 

- When it comes to Jugyeong, her thoughts will be more monotone. However, her natural voice should show more emotion.

- UPDATE: Her thoughts do not HAVE to be monotone. As long as you can pull off the lines that is good.

- Medium

  • [During these lines try to sound monotone, you are not surprised when people give you alot of attention. You are confident in your looks and are seen as one of the most beautiful girls.]

    [Still happy, you received your drink with a lot of whipped cream and you LOVE whipped cream. Be sweet.]

    Line 3: Aw! Thank you! Have a nice day~

  • [In this scene you are irritated, this guy named Suho is nice to you when your face is bare, but mean to you when you have makeup and it confuses you.]

    Line 1: Suho... 

    Line 2: UGH! THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY...


    [Now that you’ve calmed down, you realize it’s probably cause he doesn’t find you attractive without makeup. This makes you sad because not only have you been bullied in the past, but Suho is actually an attractive and intelligent guy.]

    Line 1: The thought that anyone would like my face when it looks like this....

    Line 2: I need to face reality. Suho wouldn't even bat an eye at a girl like me.

Description: 

Sua Kang is a supporting character of 'True Beauty'. She is Jugyeong Lim's best friend.


She's very fond of boy Idol groups and has no shame of talking about it to her best friend and Jugyeong. She's very supportive of Jugyeong when they visited a beauty academy. Although she dislikes Jugyeong's taste of music, she's very faithful when Jugyeong asked her to distract Suho. She also realized what Sujin Kang did when she took picture of her and Jugyeong. She comforted Jugyeong when she thinks she's adopted and how her mom is treating her. 


Voice: 

- Sua is very expressive and fangirls a lot over not only idol boys groups, but also her best friend Jugyeong.

Description: 

Juyoung Lim is the younger brother of Jugyeong Lim.


Juyoung is an attractive boy with a slender build and light skin. He has brown hair, which covers his forehead and brown eyes. 


Juyoung is usually seen playing video games and that appears to be his hobby. He is quick to get angry and hates it whenever anyone enters his room without knocking. He is interested in acting.

- Juyeong isn’t one to hide how he feels. He is very open and brutally honest. Sometimes sarcastic.

Description: 

Suho Lee is a student at Saebom High School. He is shown to have an interest towards Jugyeong. He was best friends with Seojun in middle school. 


Suho is described as cold and distant. He rarely smiles and stares coldly. He is also pretty quiet and speaks only when necessary. He is straightforward and usually gets to the point in a conversation, skipping small talk. However, he is warmer towards Jugyeong, especially without makeup on. When she recommended comics at the comic shop he reciprocated her kindness and purchased her a gift. He has a good sense of justice which can be shown when he stood up for Jugyeong when he realized that Woohyun Ji was cheating on her. 


Voice: 

- Suho is cold, distant, quiet, and soft-spoken.


Range:

  • [You were reaching for a book when Jugyeong grabbed it before you.]

    Line 1: I saw it first. It's mine.


    [You’re trying to get someone’s attention whose in front of the comic book you want.]

    Line 2: Excuse me.


    [You’re determined to get the book and politely ask if she could move to the side.]

    Line 3: Can you move over? There's a comic I want behind you.

  • [You were about to get a comic book when Jugyeong said that it didn’t end well.]

    Line 1: Then.... what would you recommend?


    [You’re a bit irritated after she gives you the recommendation.]

    Line 2: ...This better not suck.


    [After reading the comic, you realize it wasn’t that bad and are a bit embarrassed to admit it.]

    Line 3: Um... ahem... that comic by Satomu you recommended.. it wasn't bad. I read the whole thing in a day.

  • [Jugyeong goes to get your attention in the hallway. However you don’t recognize her and think it’s just a random girl being annoying.]

    Line 1: ...What do you want?


    [The girl said she studied Japanese with you last week, but you don’t remember.]

    Line 2: Hm…. did we?


    [Jugyeong asks for your number, you’re a bit reluctant, but decide on doing it.]

Description: 

Jugyeong’s mother comes off as mean. She doesn't try understanding where Jugyeong is coming from when it comes to her looks, and has even told her she was adopted in the past.

    Line 1: Oh my god. What's she talking about?


    [You then realize what she just said and are irritated.]

    [Your daughter then storms out of the room.]

    Line 3: What the heck has gotten into her all of a sudden?!

  • [Your daughter Jugyeong came asking where her bag was at]

    Line 1: That's not your only bag, you know. Besides, it's not dry yet, so take another one.


    [Jugyeong then responds to you with attitude.]

    Line 2: Don't start with me, young lady! What do you mean you only have one good bag!? Your old bag is fine. Just take that one today!
