Transmission Casting Call

Transmission Casting Call

Project Overview

Transmission is a survival horror game that is actively being developed by solo developer TuxSeagull.

After the mysterious disappearance of his father a year prior, Caleb decides to return to his father’s home in Virginia to investigate what had really happened to him. His father had been living alone in that house ever since he cut ties from the rest of the family for reasons unknown. Upon exploring the house, Caleb discovers through a series of messages that his father had never wanted to move away from the rest of the family. He had only done it to protect them from a malicious entity that had been following him around. Now with Caleb’s father dead, the entity seeks further control over others by sending out a transmission through a nearby radio tower. Caleb will have to survive from the entity as he unintentionally attaches it to himself through his father’s radio. He will have to travel to the radio tower and shut off the broadcast to stop the entity once and for all.

Role assigned to: Connor Bushoven

Caleb is a silent protagonist, only speaking during the game’s intro. He should speak relatively slow and solemnly. The line listed for this role is an excerpt from a longer monologue.

  • My father was a simple man. All he ever wanted was an ordinary life out in the rural parts of Virginia with his kids, and he did just that. That’s why we were surprised when he decided to leave the family.

Jeffrey is Caleb’s father. He is very emotional and often breaks down while he speaks. He will be heard on tapes throughout the game. He is middle aged, but I can also accept young adults if they meet the criteria!

  • (In despair) Agh, damn it! God, I just- It’s just- What if they don’t forgive me? I don’t want to lose everything I have. Everything I’ve worked for. If only they knew.
