Hello, so I have a project for a class that is coming up and I need some voice actors, the first draft is due within 3 weeks, I apologize for being last minute, but I will be happy to pay you for your time, it is a short story about a girl who has essentially the worst day ever, and meets the devil who knows more about her than herself.
Mr Grant- Basically, Mr. Grant is the main character's boss, and essentially has had it with Alice, until he fires her towards the end of the story, and is basically the epitome of a garbage person, For this role, you should think of a gruff old man who is only in it for the money, and who sounds like he has been smoking too much, and is very posh and snobby.
Mr. Grant: “Hello?”
Mr. Grant: “Do you understand...?”
Mr. Grant: “Yeah you better be here right now… I’ve about had it with your laziness”
Mr. Grant: “What! This is the third time this week! It has only been three months since you have started here! This is inexcusable! Your father and my co-founder Gerard Franklin, may he rest in peace, would be ashamed at this lack of your ethical responsibility, you need to show some more motivation your lazy girl, this generation…”
Mr. Grant: “Yeah, yeah, whatever Alex”
Mr Grant: “We think that you need to find another job... I just feel that you are not interested in this job anymore.”
Basically not much is known about the main character's boyfriend, except that he ends up being a part of her terrible day by breaking up with her in the worst possible way, his whole personality is pretty much like a stereotypical frat boy.
Hey babe, I think we need to see other people?
I’m just not that into you…
Babe there is no one.
Basically this commuter is just a slight distraction to the main character Alice, basically, just think of an angry Brooklyn accent
“Watch where you're going lady!”
Basically, Alex is an acquaintance of Alice, who regardless of his job, actually cares about Alice, this character should just be casual and relaxed.
“You want the usual Alice?”
“Rum and coke?”
“I am a good listener, you want to talk about it?”
“Oh, this is courtesy from the guy over there.”
So near the end of the story, Alice meets a handsome stranger that seems to be her perfect man, the actor for this should be charming at first, until he turns into the devil, and is cold and unfriendly towards Alice, overall, this character must be charming and unsettling.
“I’ll have to plead the fifth on that.”
“I’m good at lots of other things if you’d care to find out?”
“Ah, are you a religious woman?”
“It’s a gorgeous cross…”
“You know what kind of person that God is?”
“Look at me when I am talking to you…”
“You know the thing about God, being the evil manipulative deity that he is, will let millions of people die from disease, famines, plagues, and feel no shame and let millions of people continue on worshipping him with all of these stupid rules, and yet in the end, you somehow still lose? What kind of life is that to live? God is the kind of person who will let a loving couple die in a car crash and leave their daughter to be abused for years and years to come, that is a cruel and twisted fate Alice Franklin.”
“I know many things Alice”
“See you soon, Alice”
Basically, this coworker who is essentially the devil that is toying with her day, and causes her to get fired.
“Alice, the boss wants to see you”
So basically she is a minor character who essentially talks down to Alice about her boss, but said coworker doesn't realize it.
“Don’t worry about Mr. Grant, he’s really just a big old soft teddy bear once you get past the hard, cold exterior. Ha-ha,”
“Aww those cats are so cute.”
Basically just an unwitting participant with Mr. Grant firing Alice, and tries to let her down gently from losing her job.
