The Terra Arcanum Chronicles: The Audio Drama Ep 1
Project Overview
- Hey everyone! I'm looking to produce an Audio Drama based on a fantasy story I had been telling through a D&D 5e campaign. Unfortunately the campaign ended prematurely due to schedules changing, but my players insisted I finish the story. Being a big fan of the Audio Drama medium I figured it would be a great way to get this story out there without needing to be skilled with animating in anyway.
This is a long term passion project, with various recurring characters. I'm all in on this and I hope you will be too. This is an adult audio animation, and such will go into adult themes and language.

The Story follows Adam Kelly (a 28 year old Handicap who struggles to get through life on his painful prosthetics) and Melanie Rodman, (a strange woman in her mid twenties with a mysterious past) as they are sent forth on a journey of a lifetime! During the reveal of a powerful self sustaining energy source, an explosion occurs, tearing a hole between realms as our heroes are dragged through finding themselves in the strange, magical world of Terra Arcanum! The world isn't the only thing that's different however... Join them as they uncover the secrets of this new world, as well work together with new allies to stop an ancient evil that threatens the realms!

As the Narrator you will have the most line describing the actions of the characters throughout this audio drama. It is important to enunciate words clearly, and help convey the tones for each of the scenes.
In the dark, a man sits alone, illuminated mostly by the computer monitor in front of him. His hands shift rapidly across his keyboard and mouse, furiously clicking away.
Adam sips his drink, leaning on a nearby pillar to take some weight off his legs. He scans the crowd of people locking eyes with a beautiful blonde woman, her hair done up in the back, with loose bangs in the front. The two exchange a brief smile before she starts to make her way over to him.
As promised, the lights in the building go dark, illuminated only for a second by a flash of lightning startling the crowd. Not long after, the whirring of energy silences the room as the crystal begins to glow brightly, pulsing faster, as energy travels throughout the generator. And with that, energy is restored to the building.

This is a reoccurring role that will be featured in almost every episode to varying degrees as one of the Leads along side Adam.
Melanie Rodman is an enigma in Adam's life, showing up out of the blue and quickly becoming one of his closest allies. After being kicked out of her home after she turned 18 for coming out, Melanie traveled across the US, making friends all over but never really sticking around for too long. Currently she finds herself in New York trying to make her way, taking odd jobs and filling in for her roommate when necessary. Melanie is skeptical of overly nice people, finding them hard to trust firmly believing everyone has an ulterior motive in life. Despite her hard shell, Mel is a sweetheart who cares about the less fortunate, and does what she can to give back with the little funds she has.

Forgive my judgments but you don't seem like you belong at an event like this. (slight awkward pause) Not like that! I just mean, most of these people are stuck up rich dudes. While the others are press nerds. You don't give off either vibe to be honest...

Edrikore is a recurring character with a ton of mystery to unravel. At first glance he seems like a disheveled homeless mage, and certainly acts the part. But hidden under his ragged robes is a cut body lined with various arcane runes tattooed across his upper body. While Edrikore seems like an ally for our heroes, there would appear to be more than meets the eye with this Wizard.
Sounds very similar to Master Roshi.

Pops had one dream he spent all his life trying to realize, one that I’m sure some of our guests might not appreciate.

He had a vision of clean, green, renewable energy. And not just for the rich folk, but for everyone. Sadly, my father passed away far before his vision was realized. And it is with great honor that I am here tonight with you all, to see that vision realized!

Louie is a young preteen with a big heart. He comes from a clan of half human, half monkey folk, making him hairier than your average 11 year old. Louie has been summoned by a powerful magic to ensure the protection of Melanie, the one who accidentally summoned him. Even though he is but a child, Louie has been raised to be a soldier, and takes his role very seriously in order to make his family proud.
Louie is a permanent addition to the adventuring party and will be a long term role.

Good day ma'am! My name is Louie and I have been assigned by the gods to be your protector! I assure you that despite my age and small stature, I will do everything in my power to keep you and your party safe at all times!
