The Loneliest Artist - An educational game by CelleC Games Studios

Project Overview

This project is an educational episodic game being created by CelleC Studios (Your Human Is Sick, Don't Bleed, both on Steam).

As this is a game in production, limited details can be shared publicly. Voice Actors being cast will receive slightly more information, but will be subject to NDA. The first chapter of the game is set for release before June 2021 with additional chapters added roughly every 2.5 months. Voice Actors will be given 2 weeks to return recordings once scripts are sent. Some parts will require more dialogue and a longer commitment, others will only be in a chapter or two. Details will be listed with each character. Additional roles will be added after initial casting.

Discord is Required. Be able to meet your deadlines and be available for retakes if needed. Please have a USB mic (no headsets, unless the quality is great), minimal to no background noise. YouTube has great tutorials on how to make a soundproofing box for little to no investment.

This is an unpaid role. CelleC Studios is an Educational Studio based at Full Sail university in Winter Park, FL. Actors will be credited and can use this as part of their portfolio.

Latest Updates

  • Auditions Closed and Cast Submitted for Chapter 1!

Thank you everyone who has followed the project and who auditioned. There were a lot of great takes and submissions and my only heartbreak is that we could not cast everyone. THAT SAID: This is only chapter 1 of Charlie's Story. There will be 4 additional chapters releasing through the year with more characters, so please keep an eye out. We will be posting a second casting call for those characters around the end of April, and I will also update here when we have that new posting! I will be reaching out to the voice actors cast today. Thanks so much again!

Charlie is an artist who struggles with her anxiety, She acts confident in her everyday life but has a lot to learn. Through the game, she will address the causes of her anxiety and grow through her experience.

Charlie's anxiety will also have dialogue. VAs for this role should be able to play both the "confidence" of someone suffering from anxiety, but also the sassiness of her anxiety. Play both parts. Feel free to provide additional dialogue for anxiety to show your range!

  • Charlie: “You know that pit you feel in your stomach and the feeling of an impending doom that may never end? That’s anxiety, and it has been the party crasher of my life for as long as I can remember.”

  • Charlie: “I won’t lie, it gets really lonely around here, but life goes on. People change and move away. So, when everyone started to leave, I stayed here. My own little corner of my own little studio… It always felt like the safest place to be.”

  • Anxiety: “The problem is, you can’t just get rid of me. In fact, willing me away only makes me worse. I’m more fun that way.”

Charlie’s older brother, an alpha male type who has a great bond with his sister and is very protective and reassuring. He wants what's best for his sister, but is not always home to help her.

  • “I may have to go, but I am always right beside you. Never forget that.”

  • “You are Charlotte Mackenzie Thomas. Nothing can stop you. Not even the anxiety, no matter how bad it ever gets.”

  • “I just wish I could protect you more. The one thing I can’t fight are the monsters inside your head.”
