The Literacy Project
Project Overview
Introduction
Hey everyone! My name is Vesperia and I'm the head director and founder of Vesperia Productions, a production company in which is now helping out The Literacy Project! This casting call is a special one as people who audition will not only be helping out with the project- but they will also be helping with the campaign!
What Is The Literacy Project?
The Literacy Project is a campaign ran by Pittsburg Reads dedicated to the connection between development before kindergarten and the growth of students. When children are introduced to basic topics such as their ABC's and colors- they are shown to do better in school.
Getting It Together
Getting It Together is a series directed by both Vesperia Productions assistant director; Nezuko/Arianna- and myself. It's goal is to spread awareness surrounding the issue at hand; children falling behind in their studies. Michele Florez is a 28 year old 3rd grade teacher at Belleview Elementary School- nerves are high as the state test approaches and Ms Florez realizes that her students don't understand the curriculum. We follow different POV's throughout each season as Michele creates a reading & studying based program, in hopes of helping the students get back on track.
Profit Information
Unlike our other series, all profit here will go straight to the campaign. It will pay for things like events, childrens books, materials (posters, fliers, etc), etc.
