    Hey everyone!

    I'd like to thank everyone who auditioned for this project so far! There was a lot of talent in this first round, and some of the roles were rather difficult to decide upon. But nevertheless, I have convened with Nessmurr and finalized the list based on her suggestions.

    The list below is structured as "Primary//Understudy", so if your name is in the Understudy position, you won't get an official notification from CCC; therefore, I request that you all read through the list carefully to make sure you didn't miss any understudy roles.

    Whether you get a primary or an understudy role, I would like everyone casted to email me at [email protected] to confirm. If I don't hear from primaries or understudies soon, I will start posting comments on the actual auditions to alert them.

    As you can see, not all the roles were casted, so I have reopened the casting call for another month to obtain more auditions for these roles. And unlike last time, if I find the ideal voice for a character in this round, I will cast that individual right away rather than waiting until the deadline. That way, I can move the process along faster and prevent the casting process from stagnating due to too many auditions for certain characters.

    But at any rate, congratulations to those who made the cut, and welcome to the project! I look forward to hearing from you soon! :D

  • 10 More Days!

    Just a reminder that there are 10 days left to audition for this, and many characters still need auditions, so if you know anyone who might be interested in this project, please let them know!

    There will be one more update after this when the cast results come out, listing the primary actors for each role as well as understudies, so please pay attention to that update if you don't get an email from CCC that you were cast as a primary actor. This is especially important because in the event that every role is not cast, understudies will have the first chance to try for these roles before I consult other actors and/or reopen the casting call.

    Now, just a disclaimer: I will not cast a role just because I have enough auditions for the role. I'm tremendously passionate about this project, and I want the characters' voices to sound as close as possible to what I imagine; so if I feel that no actor who auditioned is suitable for the role, that role will not be cast. Please do not take this personally...previous clients will vouch for the fact that I am extremely picky when it comes to casting roles, so keep in mind that just because you aren't cast, that doesn't mean you don't have talent.

    Again, I very much appreciate all the auditions I have received thus far, and I hope to receive even more before this deadline is up. Keep it up, everyone! :)

  • Spreading the Word

    I wanted to say thank you to those actors who came back and auditioned for more minor characters, it really is helping me out. But it would now seem that auditions in general are screeching to a halt, likely due to the fact that people are returning to school and losing the free time they need to audition.

    Therefore, I have a new request for the people auditioning for this project: if you could share it on social media or with other voice actors you know personally, it might boost the popularity of the project and bring in more desperately-needed auditions. I understand that people are busy, but this casting call closes on the 2nd of October, so if voice actors want a chance to participate in this project, now is the time they need to act.

    So please, if you have a spare moment, share this with your fellows and spread the word. For those of you that do, know that I deeply appreciate the help. Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!

  • Auditioning for Minor Characters

    I have noticed that for all the auditions I've been getting, I am still seriously lacking in auditions for the more minor characters, such as Talo, Malo, Sera, Fado, etc.
    As I said in the rules I posted for the casting call, I really want everyone who auditions for a main character to also audition for a minor character. I know most of you strive to be one of the main characters, but at the end of the day, there can only be one Zelda, one Link, one Zant, etc. Your chances of being able to take part in this project significantly go up if you go outside these very popular roles and try to tackle one of the more obscure ones, who are just as essential to helping this project succeed; without them, I will not be able to complete the entire thing.
    So those of you who have auditioned for a main character, please, do me a solid and also audition for a minor character; it really helps the process. And if you already have, then thank you very much! Have a nice day! :)

  • (a tortured cry rips out of him) RUSL! (starts sobbing) It's my fault! It's my fault AGAIN!

When Link enters the Twilight, he is transformed into a divine beast as opposed to a spirit, which is indicative of the power that the goddesses have bestowed upon him. In this form, Link's voice is much deeper and more growly, and his personality is a bit more hot-tempered and aggressive. I strongly encourage people auditioning for Link to audition for Wolf Link as well.

  • (growling menacingly) My name is Link!! Don't get so arrogant, imp! If you plan to treat me like an animal, YOU'LL TASTE THESE FANGS!!"

  • (bewildered) Is this the power of twilight? The power I got from turning into a wolf? I would never have obtained this power in the world of light. I've obtained this power by losing my light...and falling into the shadows..."

Midna is the true heir of the throne of the Twilight Realm. After Zant usurped her position as ruler, she was exiled and transformed into a ghoulish imp, and her last hope to regain control is to gather the missing pieces of the Fused Shadow. Once she recognizes the potential in Link, she decides to use him in order to achieve this goal, acting as a very devious, sarcastic and mean-spirited "partner" in his quest. 
Her voice should be high-pitched and impish, dripping with sarcasm and mean-spirited playfulness, but also capable of tenderness. 

  • (mockingly) There, there. Don't be depressed, wolf. I can save you from this predicament. Or I could leave you here as a four-legged beast, bound by these chains, as you rot to death in this cell. 

  • (screaming in agony) Th-the light's burning me up...!! It's hot!! I'm burning away!! ...(panting, irritated) B-be quiet! I'm perfectly fine! 

  • (tearful) You were alive this whole time, weren't you? All right. I'll leave him to you. Do what you must... I'm counting on you...

At the very beginning of the manga, we are introduced to Midna in her true form, as we witness her confrontation with Zant and her exile from the Twilight Realm.

Zant is a member of the Twili race, and is the self-proclaimed ruler of the Twilight. He was the close aide of Midna's father the King, and he and Midna were both considered to be next in line for the throne because both were the most powerful Twili in the realm. He was ultimately skipped over because he was thought be to dangerously ambitious, so he decides to not only take the Twilight Realm by force, but also cast the world of light under a cloud of twilight.
For this first part of the manga, his voice should be low, silkily sinister and truly terrifying. 

  • (quiet, chilling) Nothing bad is happening. They are all turning into my precious servants. Now the Twili will be much happier than when they were oppressed civilians. This...is a joyous occasion.

  • (menacingly) Foolish girl! With the Fused Shadow, I'll become one with the powerful ancient magic. I WILL obtain it. I will merge shadow and light to make “darkness”, and become the king that rules over it all!!

Zelda was the young matriarch of Hyrule until its invasion by Zant, the Twilight King, to whom she surrendered in order to prevent the deaths of herself and her people. Afterward, she is imprisoned inside a tower in Hyrule Castle.
Her voice should be medium-pitch, intelligent and regal. 

  • (shivers intensely, indicative of a deep sadness) Hyrule and its light...have fallen to the shadows... The radiance of the daylight shall never again return... (deep sigh of hopelessness)

  • (restrained and diplomatic) King of Twilight, Zant! You would commit such deeds knowing this is a sacred land protected by the gods? (determined, firm, angry) I will not allow you to wound my people! Withdraw now!!

  • (low and quiet, subtly suspicious) Midna, I believe the “Fused Shadow” you are looking for is in Hyrule. However, it is confined with sorcery so dangerous that we of the world of light cannot even touch it. What do you intend to do once you obtain it?

Rusl is a talented swordsman who serves as Link's mentor in Ordon Village, tutoring him in sword fighting. In the manga, he is a laidback, soft-hearted soul whose bond with Link is extremely strong, akin to that of a brother.
His voice should have a medium to medium-low pitch, charismatic, gentle and strong. 

  • (seriously, with pride) This role can't be left to just anyone. To be the village's representative is a position of great pride and honor. This is the sword we are to present to the royal family. I've put all my soul into crafting this sword. No matter how peaceful this world may be...someday, something will happen. When that time comes, I'll be the only swordsman protecting the people of this village. But having only one person protecting a village is a bit questionable...so...I want you to join me.

  • (barking angrily) DON'T BE FOOLISH! Link is- Link! Wait! Wait, I said! (firmly) Stop blaming yourself! This was NOT your fault! 

  • (gently) I'd always known you had some secrets. No matter how much one acts, he cannot hide his true nature. But it doesn't matter who you are or from where you come. These two years must have been hard on you...

Ilia is Mayor Bo's daughter, the first one to meet Link when he came to the village. She serves as a kind of mother figure to the younger children and has a special affection for animals.

  • Oh, hi Link. I've washed Epona for you. (soft and subtly flirtatious) Epona is a girl too, so you have to treat her nice like one.

  • (shaking with fear) N-no, stay away...don't come any closer!! (bursts into tears) Link...Link!! (wailing miserably)

  • (soothingly) You don't have to apologize, Colin. It's not your fault. Rusl and Link will find the two of them quickly...(voice hitches) And then we can all smile together.

Bo is the mayor of Ordon Village and father of Ilia. He's generally laidback and easy-going, and despite his intimidating girth and affinity for martial arts, he's actually quite soft and easy to manipulate.

  • (clears throat) Link, I want to speak with you. Go to the castle. I want you to handle the task of delivering the sword we're offering to the royal family of Hyrule. It was a task set to Rusl, but...his wife Uli is having a baby. I can't have him away from his home for a long time... So someone has to do it in his stead.

  • (shocked blustering) Y-you don't want to go?? Commoners can only have one chance in their lifetime to enter the castle! (calling desperately after him) HEY, LINK!!

  • (pensively scowling) Beth, do you remember my grand ambition? In order to realize that dream, I've practiced and trained every day! HOWEVER! As of today, I've changed! (with great determination) I'm going to be a shepherd!

Jaggle is the father of Malo and Talo and the husband of Pergie. In the manga, he is portrayed as a large, stern and frighteningly intimidating man who takes his pumpkin-herding job just a little too seriously and broods all the time.
His voice should be deep and booming, with a constant tone of grouchiness. 

  • (incredulous growl) You don't have TIME for that, you say?! (in a low, threatening voice) The pumpkins your father grows represent Ordon Village across all of Hyrule... They've even been sent to the castle as offerings to the royal family! Do you not understand how much effort goes into these pumpkins?!

  • (vehement) NO! If the public were to find out, the reputation of Ordon pumpkins would be severely damaged! (deeply puzzled) In Ordon Village, nature is beautiful and abundant...the village is protected by the will of the spirits...evil shouldn't be able to enter this village!

  • (strangled laugh, trying to compose himself) No, nothing. It seems some pumpkins over-ripened and rotted a bit.

Beth is the young 8-year-old daughter of Hanch and Sera, who is obsessed with hot boys, fashion, and generally anything cute and sparkly. Her typical personality is bouncy, girlish, flirty and a tad ditzy, but she is also capable of dishing out a good dose of sarcasm.

  • (sighs) What are you doing, Talo? (rolling her eyes) Let me guess: your great ambition is to take over as the swordsman of the village after Rusl? You say it all the time.

  • (squees excitedly) LINK! Did you come to shop at our store?! Ah! Handsome guys holding cats are so cool~! (flirtatiously) Soooo, what are you looking for? A strong durable pot? Some cool sandals? Or some cute foreign clothes? Sera's Sundries has everything you might wish for! (dramatic sigh) But the clothes I want aren't sold here... (dreamily) So someday I'll turn this place into “Beth's Boutique!” And I'll sell all the pretty clothes in the world!!

Sera is the mother of Beth and the owner of Sera's Sundries. She is a very warm, friendly and energetic woman who is completely enamored with her cat, whom she christened with the title "Little Link." 

  • (gushing) Oh, it's my little Link!! I was looking for you! Where were you?! (warmly) Oh, Link, welcome! Are you looking for anything?

  • This is a marvelous medicine made from herbs around the village. It's more effective than anything sold in the city. Give it a shot! You'll feel better right away! Ordon Village products are unique: they're blessed. They're incredibly nutritious and have powerful medicinal properties. This is why our exports are so highly valued across Hyrule. But what makes all of this possible?
    I'll tell you: This place...is protected by the spirits.

  • That is why, as we live our lives, above all, we pray to the spirits and thank them for their protection. (motherly) And since you're such a good kid, Link, the spirits are surely protecting you too.

Fado is a young man in charge of running Ordon Ranch. He calls upon Link whenever he has trouble herding the goats, which is becoming more frequent as a strange darkness spreads through the woods and the village.
His voice should be low, with a heavy Southern accent. 

  • HEY LINK!! You mind helpin' me herd the goats? The herd's all scattered! (yelling over the din of the stampede) That's the one! She's been picking fights and messing up the herd.

  • Yeah, he was of great help. He always was the best at horse-riding. (chuckles admiringly) He's good at handling the animals...he's real popular with the kids too.

  • (struggling to speak, gurgling on blood) M...monsters...monsters...from the depths of the forest....attacked us.... (coughs harshly, draws in a shuddering breath)...please...save everyone...Rusl! (exhales as he loses consciousness)

In the manga, Darpa was one of Link's classmates in his hometown, a cocky young man who believes himself to be a hero deserving of the mystical sword of Gaurof.

  • (scoffing) Send them fleeing? There are a lot of magicians among them. Do you think you can protect Hyrule with just swordsmanship? (snickers) Don't get too haughty just because you're good with a sword.

  • (with a greedy overtone in his voice) I've heard this sword can fell gods...it'll make a fitting weapon for me. (struggles mightily, grunting and gasping and straining and cursing) Damnit! I can't pull it out!

  • (scream of terror as he is pulled into the vortex of darkness)

King Bulbin is one of Zant's strongest minions, commanding an army of hundreds of monsters in Hyrule. He is directly responsible for the tragedy in Ordon Village, as he kidnaps Ilia and Colin and orders his minions to kill who-knows-how-many innocent villagers. Trained to believe that strength is the only measure of a person's worth, he is baffled when Ilia does not immediately bow to him following Link's defeat at his hand.
His voice should sound very deep, guttural and monstrous. 

  • (roar of pain and anger when Link's sword sinks into his shoulder) (groans, growls with anger) Bastard...you drew my blood, and scarred my horn... (enraged) UNFORGIVABLE!!

  • (mocking and spiteful) Foolish insect. You are but a human, yet you dare defy me? (wicked chuckle) You make me laugh. (triumphantly) A shadow world of terror, hatred, and darkness – our paradise – shall now rise! Rejoice! Rejoice! REJOICE!! (monstrous cackle)

  • (frustrated, puzzled) Why? Why would she cry for such a weakling? I don't understand!! In this world, it is the mighty who rule. The weak have no choice but to either obey or to be perished by their hand. That is the law. That is how the world works. There exists no other way of life than this!!!

Ordona is the Spirit of Light who protects the Ordona Province. She explains to Link the fate of her other spirit brethren and informs him that he is the only one who can restore the world of light.

  • (sagely) O fierce young one who bears the emblem...rise again. You have yet to fulfill your mission. ...I am Ordona. I am one of the four light spirits that protect Hyrule at the behest of the gods. Your form comes from the power of the twilight. Those transformed by twilight usually cannot recover their original forms. Unless...if you were to repel the twilight and revive the other light spirits...you may find the means to regain your human state.

  • (gravely) My brethren have already had their light stolen from the Shadow Beasts. The entire kingdom has been reduced to a netherworld ruled by the cursed powers of darkness. Before long, the entire world of light will fall into the hands on the king who rules the twilight.

  • (wise but rather cold) A sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage. Do you think that you have courage? The way you swing your sword at me is nothing more than a masquerade of reluctance. It is not true courage. Your current power would disgrace the proud green of the hero's tunic you wear.

As the leader, it is his vital duty to fight off any and all intruders that enter his territory, so that he can protect his troops. If an intruder leaves his territory, he will not chase after them. Such is the moral code of a feral animal. Wish his tremendous power and respect from his troops, he will continue to act as their leader.
