The Hero's Shade is the restless spirit of the previous Hero of Time, who died prematurely and therefore could not pass on his knowledge to the next hero. He has Link transported to the spirit realm on multiple occasions so he may teach him the ways of the sword.
His voice should be ghostly, haunting and somewhat frightening, but also dignified and wise.
(wise but rather cold) A sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage. Do you think that you have courage? The way you swing your sword at me is nothing more than a masquerade of reluctance. It is not true courage. Your current power would disgrace the proud green of the hero's tunic you wear.
(lots of battle grunts, cries of defeat, heavy breathing etc.)
