Audition requirements

Don’t edit your audio for the audition. We want the raw audio file for audition purposes.
2 takes at most.
Once cast, I’ll ask for a picture of your face. This is not a requirement, don’t do it if you aren’t comfortable with the picture being used for promotional purposes.
All candidates must confirm that they accept the role under 24 hours after being contacted otherwise the offer will be revoked.

Brook is someone willing to do a lot for others. Her passion for music drives her forwards. She feels responsibility easily and that may stress her sometimes. She is blown away by her aunts stories about trolls and vikings she tells all the time.
She cares about her family and music a lot.

Line: “I don’t want to get up.”
Context: Brook is in bed during Christmas dragging herself. She’d rather sleep in than wake up properly like her mom is asking her to.
Emotions: Sleepy, reluctant.
Line: “I want to show you how much I've improved! I practiced every day, you know.”
Context: Brook has practiced the whole year to impress her family, especially her aunt. This is the part where aunt Tina gets a pre-show of the playing
Emotions: Happy, excited.Line: “Auntie… can you sing me that one lullaby about the trolls?”
Context: After a long Christmas day, when Brook is finally in bed, she wants her aunt to sing for her. It is her favorite good night song and she adores hearing it.
Emotions: Relaxed, tired
Personality
Tina is a traveler. An explorer. Most importantly, she is a loving aunt. Her experiences through life have made her learn that living to the fullest. She sees it as something precious that should be cared for.
She likes to tell about her experiences through the form of singing.

Accent: American, irish, scottish or nordic. Other accents will be considered, but less prioritized.
Line: *giggle* “Don’t worry little one, I’ll sing for you”
Context: Happy that her niece wants her to sing, she is gladly accepting the request. As little Brook lays her head down, she gets ready to sing.
Emotions: Gentle, comforting, glad.Line: “That is when the evil troll almost caught me out of the blue!”
Context: Tina is telling tales about trolls to Brook. She is putting a narrator voice on as she tells about her wild experiences.
Emotions: Thrilled, energetic.Line: “If it isn’t my favorite niece.”
Context: Tina just came from a city far away in the middle of Norway. She is eager to celebrate christmas with Brook, as they haven’t seen each other in a long while.
Emotions: Happy, excited

Personality
Brook’s mom is a caring, yet stern mother. She tries her best to make her daughter happy, she doesn’t fully get along with her though. She still attempts to be a good mother, something that is more challenging than expected.

Line: “Darling, get up, it is almost 10 in the morning.”
Context: Brooks mom is trying to get her daughter to wake up early even though it is Christmas so she’ll keep up with her sleep schedule she has made for Brook.
Emotions: Stern, demanding.Line: “You don't want to make Aunt Tina wait, do you?”
Context: In a sort of stern voice, she is telling Brook that Tina is waiting, she is stern because she doesn’t think guests should be waiting for the person they are visiting.
Emotions: impatient, stern.
Line: “Time to change, mmh? You don't want guests to see you in your pajamas.”
Context: Christmas dinner starts in an hour, the entire family is coming. Brook is still in her pajamas. Brook needs to change her clothing before the family arrives.
Emotions: Annoyed, demanding.

Context: Brook just has arrived in a strange new place from her living room. Confused, she wants to know where she has been teleported to. She is nervous about this new environment.
Emotions: Confused, nervous.Line: “I’m inside the snowglobe…”
Context: She realizes where she has been teleported to. As she is in awe, the realization that she is in a magical world hits her. She is inside her living room, but in a whole other universe.
Emotions: Awe, epiphany, disbelief.
Line: “I will fight for your people”
Context: Stupidly filled with courage, Brook takes on and accepts the battle against the monstrous flesh eating trolls.
Emotions: Determined, courageous.
You will sing a shorter version of an original song that is a minute long.

Personality
Anne is a naive young girl with love for her home, her people, and her father. She is open minded and cares for most people, even strangers. She is caring, young and wants to explore unseen lands. Her dream is to visit the far north mountains over the lake. These are lands infested by trolls.
Anne is also the love interest in the game, she has her own ending and is a strong motivator for the main character Brook throughout the story.

Accent: American, irish or nordic. Other accents will be considered, but less prioritized.
Line: “You must come from someplace far away”
Context: First time Anne encounters Brook the stranger, she is puzzled where someone with such weird clothing must be from. She has never seen anything like it.
Emotions: Excited, confused, amazed.Line: “Keep the cape, the blizzard is unforgiving”
Context: It is snowing badly outside. Anne gives Brook a cape to stay warm from the winter weather.
Emotions: Insisting, caring.Line: “What if you’re next? I can’t lose you too!”
Context: A troll came to the village and took away one of her father's close friends. She is afraid her father is up next and worries about what would happen if she were to lose her father to the flesh eating trolls. Keep in mind, her mom isn’t mentioned in the story, as she is also probably taken by the trolls when Anne was a kid.
Emotions: Afraid, sad, emotional.

Personality
Steinar might seem rough, that is because he is. He is a nordic viking beast. However, he has a soft spot for his dear ones and wants to protect them. This is something that is outside his grasp, he feels angry at himself that he can’t do more.
Steinar is accepting of help from others. This doesn't make him a single bit less of a “one way of thinking” type of man.

Line: “Will you fight for us?”
Context: Brook, the strange person he meets for the first time is their only hope. Steinar is hoping for her to stay behind and fight for his people, as he can’t fight the trolls off himself.
Emotions: Doubtful, hopeful, nervous.Line: “These great news need to be celebrated!”
Context: Brook has accepted to stay behind and fight the trolls, he is head over heels with joy.
Emotions: Happy, excited.Line: “Come join us around the table”
Context: At the party, Steinar invites Brook over to join him and his friends for a laugh and to get to know new people.
Emotions: Inviting, relaxed.
