I've reposted this project because I didn't get enough auditions the first time round! Therefore, I'm offering to pay the voice actors that I do end up hiring. This is because I need the upmost quality for this short movie!
The Divine is going to be an amazing ROBLOX animated movie about how a group of boys in a small town came across alien life that changed their lives.
My Name is Kady Create and I make ROBLOX animations on youtube, I recently animated this music video for this youtuber that got a crazy amount of views https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0eHTpOec74
And i plan to do the same again with this animated movie, so there is a lot of exposure involved. I'm pretty much a perfectionist and this movie's atmosphere needs to be spot on, So impress me with your auditions! I plan to post the animated movie before March - So let's get the ball rolling!
I wish I could have photos for the characters you are going to be auditioning for but production hasn't started yet. This is where it all begins, finding the right voices for these roles.
The animation follows 3 young boys that have been best friends for as long as they remember. The main character, Adam had just lost his father. The boys have a special spot up on a small cliff beside a lake. They go there after school all the time to hang out. On the day of Adams father's funeral, something bizarre falls from the sky and lands in the lake. The boys go over to inspect it to find that it was an alien. But this alien seemed very very passive and friendly, and after a short amount of hesitation, the boys welcomed this Alien in, giving him the nickname Marshmallow. Little did they know Marshmallow came with a lot more baggage than just a friendship and eventually leads to him shaping their lives.
Idris is a young black character that is roughly 15 years old. Almost like an Everybody Hates Chris/Miles Morales character. He's pretty cultured and like to think hes the cool one, he's also super goofy. But he is a ladies man, and is pretty smooth with the girls. I'd say play around with the lines I've provided here and see what you can do. Another reference that might paint a good picture is Lucas from Stranger Things.
Are you being serious right now? Power Rangers SPD had a black guy for the red suit. So if we actually are real life power rangers, I want the red suit.
What did he do to us? I feel so different, and this morning I beat my brother in a wrestle…

Ken is more or less similar to Idris. 15 years old. He's funny, quirky and the two of them bounce off of eachother really well. He fits in jokes wherever he can and generally tries to lighten the mood in all situations. He can be a bit of a hotheaded at times too.
But these kids are supposed to remind our viewers of the fun relationships they have as kids so there needs to be energy and believability

Valory wasn't originally part of the group of friends. But everyone in school knows her to be a badass. Think of her as Hit Girl from Kick Ass. Just a really cool, strong girl. The other boys in the ground admire her greatly.
She can be bold, scary, cute and threatening at the same time.
Give those back loser. [Intimidating, cool]
Who do I think I am? I think I’m Mrs Branberry's daughter and I won’t mind telling her about how you TP’d the principles house for halloween if you don’t give those marshmallows back. [Bold, strong, threatening]

Anytime I think of this character here I think of Thanos. This is the big baddie. A Large alien three times the size of the kids who is super intimidating and scary. I want him to have a calming confident side to him much like Thanos did in Avengers but I also want him to have a hotheaded side too, for when he get's too frustrated. But this voice HAS to be deep, it has to be strong and powerful and it has to be intimidating. Try your hardest to be intense and serious. The lines may seem funny but in all honesty I want him to be naturalistically scary. So don't overdo it, but use his authority/power to your advantage. Make him intense.
He entrusted… all of his power… to you!?

If you resist I will destroy everything on this planet. Starting with this town.

I AM THE PLAGUE! I WILL STEAL THE POWER THAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE AND I WILL RULE THE UNIVERSE! Right after I obliterate this planet.
Chad is the stereotypical jerk that picks on the kids younger than him, He's not a full blown bully, but he does like to intimidate the younger ones. He thinks too much of himself and is pretty annoying.
He's only 2 years older than the other kids. 17
Hey! Bums, there a party you forgot to invite me to?
Me? A bighead? The only big head I see here is this weird looking guy. What is he an alien?

Adam. Adam is the golden child of the movie. He's the main character that is kind of seen as the main kid of the group. He is mostly laid back and confident. He can be very funny at times and gets very nervous in certain situations (Like the one with Valory). But the movie begins with Adam leaving his fathers funeral. So he's just gone through something hard and life changing - So the audience see a matured boy that struggles to enjoy himself most times. He can also be very intense.
I wanna feel the emotion and TENSION in your auditions, this role has to be strong!
[Narrating] Back then, I didn’t know what life or death really meant. Suddenly someone's here… and the next minute they're not.
I had to deal with this boring town and this boring life. But at least I had my friends. I knew these guys always had my back. We used to chill at Lake Kady everyday after school. It was our own special spot. What was supposed to be the worst day of my life, ended up being the most special.
AHAHAHAHA An Alien! Oh Chad you got jokes. He’s actually my aunt-my uncle… that has asthma… from Russia.
(picking up the marshmallows):
Aha.. Thanks Valory. You really kicked ass.
