Summary
In Ancient Egypt, the newly crowned Pharaoh Inef seeks to rule through peace alongside his beloved Queen Aya. When his half-brother, Prince Nakht, secretly poisons Aya to seize the throne, Inef embarks on a perilous journey into the Sinai desert to find a mythical cure. Guided by visions of Isis and marked by the god Anubis with the "Black Ankh"—a rotting curse that grants supernatural power at the cost of his body—Inef must race against time, assassins, and his own unraveling sanity to save his Queen.

Sobek does not care for politics, righteousness, or mercy—he respects only raw strength and the will to survive. When Inef enters the subterranean waters of the Nile with a calcifying, stone-heavy body, Sobek turns the river into a crushing, clawing trap to drag the King into the deep silt.
