BIOGRAPHY:

Sobek is the ancient Egyptian crocodile deity of the Nile, violence, and pharaonic strength. Summoned by Anubis to deliver the third divine trial, Sobek tests whether Inef possesses the unyielding vitality required to rule Egypt, or if he is merely a fragile mortal destined to sink. Sobek does not care for politics, righteousness, or mercy—he respects only raw strength and the will to survive. When Inef enters the subterranean waters of the Nile with a calcifying, stone-heavy body, Sobek turns the river into a crushing, clawing trap to drag the King into the deep silt.

The sides they read from:
  • (Spoken - Patrick Page-esque low rumble, cold, predatory contempt): "Why do you summon me from the silt, Jackal? I smell embalming fluid and scorched linen on your wind. You bring the scent of a fresh tomb into my river *pause* A calcified King in my rapids? You bring me a stone to drown."

  • (Spoken/V.O. - Deep, booming underwater projection): (Darkly amused, vibrating with sheer power) "Sink, fragile Pharaoh! Let the weight of your rot drag you to the silt. The Nile does not carry granite. Surrender your breath to the dark, or let my jaws tear your crown today!"

  • (Sung - Heavy, aggressive Bass-Baritone theatrical belt): (From the duet "Flood and Dust" — driving rhythm, massive lower resonance opening up into a terrifyingly large roar) ♫ "You bring me a corpse wrapped up in bone! A weakling whose heart is turning to stone! Does he think he can step in my black domain, Where the Nile drinks blood and feeds on pain?! I AM THE JAWS! I AM THE FLOOD! I TASTE THE ROYAL, DECAYING BLOOD!" ♫
