DOGWOOD (codename) is an AAA fantasy video game currently under active development by a studio founded by former CD Projekt Red developers.
We're looking for a few guys to lend their voices to characters appearing in our in-house demo :)
Hey folks, we're Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio currently working on a fantasy title. We're in need of several voice actors to give life to our characters, currently for the purpose of internal testing - which means these recordings will not be used in the released version of the game.
But keep in mind that if we like your performance, we may get back to you in the future when it's time to voice the actual game!
Those would obviously be much bigger and better paid gigs.
We're aiming for realistic, emotional performances. We're open to all types of voices and accents (though preferably Central/Eastern/Southern European) - if you're not sure you fit the character, but would like to give it a try either way - go for it :)
Since these recordings are for in-house use, we're not too picky about microphone quality. As long as your delivery is good and your audio is generally decent and clean (free of pops, clicks, and background noise) you're good to go.
REQUIREMENTS FOR AUDITIONS
- clean audio without peaking, clicking, and as little background noise as possible
- willing to sign an NDA
- capable of recording in early February - auditions will last through January and we'll need the lines recorded in the first week of Feb
FINAL RECORDING REQUIREMENTS (if you get cast):
- be able to deliver files in .wav format, 44.1 hKz and 16 bit sample rate
- be able to deliver each line (may include multiple takes) in a separate file

Don't worry about the "cast to offsite actor" notes beside the roles, they were automatically assigned this way once we marked the project as completed. Our apologies for the confusion, the casting is still ongoing.

Noan is rather calm, he doesn't speak overmuch and prefers to listen. He's kind and sensitive, he can get emotional at times, but he does his best to control his feelings. He will raise his voice when angered, but he doesn't do it often or without good reason.

(exasperated, arguing with a friend) Hana, I swear, one more excuse and I will chuck your sheep onto this boat with my bare hands. And then I'll chuck you too. We're leaving tonight and that's that, the risk is too great.
(desperate) No, that's impossible. We haven't told anyone about the hut. He must be in it. You must've missed him, maybe he hid from you? He must be inside!
Dumar is a strong, energetic young man. He's trained in combat - though he hadn't seen plenty of it - and he's eager to fight for a better world, even if it means getting in way over his head. He's honest, loyal, and very expressive.

(angry and confused) She promised me they'd join me... She stood here, right here, and she swore on her father's grave that I wouldn't have to carry this shit alone! Where are they, then? It's midnight already, where are they?! God... what am I supposed to do now?
Aurent is a serious man with plenty of confidence. He's very charistmatic and exudes an aura of authority. He speaks clearly and doesn't mince his words. He's quick to anger, but his anger is a quiet dripping venom, not a wild flailing fury.

(speaking to a crowd) We're gathered here today to witness... a miracle. Look at this man: standing here on his own two feet, looking at you, thinking, crying. Trying his absolute darndest to speak through the gag. To ask - nay, to beg - for your help. Or my mercy. Yet he gets neither. And now he's gone. Just like that.
(angry) I've told you not to follow my brother. I've told you and I warned you, and what did you do? You didn't listen. There are mistakes, Noan, mistakes a man should not make. This was one of them.
Stelo is a tough man, used to hard work and difficult life conditions. He’s got a no-nonsense approach to things and is not an open-minded person.

Bietri is a family man carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s stern and decisive. Outwardly, a tough man, who controls his emotions. But sometimes, he’s barely holding on.

(consoling and warm) Baby, hey… Hey, listen to me. It will be alright. We’re leaving with the caravan tonight. By dawn, we’ll be in a different world. Trust me.
An unnamed man from the village. If you audition for any of the other roles you can just add a note saying to also treat it as an audition for the villager, no need to record this test line in that case.

(anxious) They're coming, shush. Be quiet, all of you. If we don't speak, look down, and appear more tree than human... maybe they'll let us live. God willing, they'll let us live...
