Delivery Bird
Project Overview
Hi there voice actors!
We’re Jess and Connor, aspiring animators working on an upcoming short called Delivery Bird. The story centers around a delivery service run by various bird species. The post office is divided into an array of services, with robins and bluebirds delivering good news, storks delivering baby letters, doves delivering love letters, and crows delivering--you guessed it--bad news. Of course, the main character is a crow named Corvi in this department who constantly gets complaints. His friends Ruby the Robin and Wendell the Stork help him discover a secret that changes the post office forever.
Although there is no monetary compensation, gifts such as models, original artwork, and concept art from the story can be provided to the voice actors if shipping address is available.
- NOTE: the script for the story is complete and as soon as we find our final voice actors, we will be sending it out immediately. -
Requirements:
- You MUST have a good, clear mic! We will not tolerate having any sort of static or background noise in our animation, and please be as eloquent in speech as possible.
- Having a Skype account is preferred since it's easiest for us to communicate through there if you have any sort of questions.
- Must be quick to respond! We are trying to get the voices for our animation as quickly as possible so we can produce a quality production even faster.
- Must be loyal! Any voice actors who are given a role and suddenly drop out will be put on a public blacklist and will not be allowed to audition for any future productions by either of us.
Since the production of this animation is still in it's early stages, we ask that you keep any information about it as private as possible until we make a public announcement about it to our fans/followers.
Thank you!

Sassy, comedic relief character. She only says "whatever" but also works as a recptionist. She is a wall of ice.
Whatever.
Excitable, typical little kid voice. Can be played by the voice actor for older Corvi (if it can be done convincingly) or auditioned for alone. Must be higher than adult Corvi's voice.
Hi, dad! We found this out by the pond and wanted to bring it back to you!
Very strong, masculine, deep voice. Very cocky; a holy roller. Must be able to yell loudly into the mic without it cutting out. Must also be able to sigh and even cower.
We're trying to run a business here, and with birds like you gumming up the gears you're making that near impossible!
I expect better. Not that you can give it to me.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRVIII!
Female robin. Close friend of Corvi. She is a good support for him when he needs it but can be fiesty as well. Should have mid-range female voice that can portray a good amount of emotion convincingly.
Well, this is so typical of you. How many times this week has this happened?
Look, I don't care what people say. You're good at your job, and that's got to count for something.
*slyly* Oh, we were just looking around for this.
A very laid-back crow who does his job at the post office well. He should have a Minnesotan/Canadian accent and is the kind of dad to say "go get'em sport!".
Heya sprouts, don't touch anything while I'm gone.
Have fun kiddos!
Oh, and uh, Wendell-I mean you.
Frantic, jumpy little bluebird. Very nervous, high-pitched voice.
Ruby! Ruby! Come quick, we need you in the mail room!
Oh no oh no oh no! Where is everyone when they're needed?
Goofy, rambunctious little kid. Can be played by the voice actor for older Wendell (if it can be done convincingly) or auditioned for alone. Must be higher than adult Wendell's voice.
(Disoriented) Delivery done! At your service!
Goofy, self-described "lovable loser". Incapable of swallowing a fish. Good friends to Corvi and Ruby but relies on them a little too much sometimes. His voice should be higher than Corvi's and slightly nasally as well; he is a bundle of feathers and energy. Must be able to make choking noises.
Hey guys! Guys! Check this out, I got a fish--*hack, cough (choking noises)*
I've been on probation more times than I remember! Don't worry about it.
Hehe, I don't know. Too many to count.
Crow, main character. Lines range from depressed to sarcastic to cocky. He's worked at the post office most of his life and enjoyed it until recently.
Very funny. Is that supposed to mean something, considering I'm a crow and all?
I've worked here forever and haven't gotten a promotion yet. *sarcastically happy* Crows get to stay in the hot, stinky mailroom, remember?
*moan* I can't show my face back there...
