Project Overview
Tales of Cognisia is going to be a machinima and a fan-game with its roots based in Super Smash Bros. and the old machinima Tales of Advent. This casting call will only be for the prologue, with more casting calls later as needed. This is a passion project of mine and being partially fan-game, it's also non-profit; as such, these roles are not paid ones. The prologue covers the entirety of Tales of Advent's run with added content and dialogue. While not all dialogue is voiced, key moments in the story, as well as battles, will be.
The prologue will not be machinimated, but every Chapter afterward will be before being introduced into the game.
Voice Actor
Lucas is the main protagonist of Tales of Cognisia, which means he's the most important character to find the right voice for. Barely out of a life changing adventure, Lucas suddenly finds himself waking up in an entirely new world. He joins forces with the Smashers along with Ike to help them in their time of need. Lucas is a kind kid, usually more of a lover than a fighter. He doesn't like fighting, but will do it to protect those he cares about. He used to be a bit of a scaredy-cat but his trials on the Nowhere Islands toughened him up some; still being a kid though, he's not unshakeable!
Due to Lucas being young, any gender can audition for the role. No particularly voice in mind, do as you feel!
[Determined] I want to know that my family and friends are okay. But it wouldn't feel right if I didn't do anything to help out here first.
[Shaken, trying to compose himself] My hands are shaking, I don't know what to do. But Link... He told us to find Zelda.
[Confused] Yeah, you mean you never found fresh food wrapped up in a present box before? They were everywhere on the Nowhere Islands. [Enthusiastic] I had so many different kinds of things thanks to those!
Voice Actor
Samus is a veteran member of the Smashers that believes action is more valuable than words alone. She remains distant from the others, doing her best to keep them out of her personal affairs. She may come off as abrasive, but deep down she never wants to experience the crushing feeling of losing those she cares about ever again.
Samus is typically cold and distant whenever she speaks, but that does not mean I'm looking for a monotone voice!
[Cold] Let me give you one piece of advice, Lucas: Stay out of my way.
[Providing input] There's no reason to keep them in the dark. Especially if we're going to be recruiting even more people that don't know how this world works...
[Stand-offish] My ship can get me to the signal's location in no time and in case you haven't noticed, I'm the most well-equipped person here.
Voice Actor
Peach works with the Smashers not as a fighter, but as the cook! Kind-hearted and supportive, she's always trying her best to keep everyone in high spirits whether it be through kind words or wholesome meals.
No particularly voice in mind, do as you feel!
[Humble] I am acting as the cook right now mostly because we don't have anyone else that can cook. I try my best but I do admit I'm only okay at it.
[Determined] Zelda's out there somewhere, waiting for us!
[Reflecting] I cherish the time I've had with everyone here. If I were to return to my world tomorrow, I would keep the friends I've made here in my heart just like I am in theirs.
