super sidekick-gacha voice acted series
Project Overview
⚡ HERO SHIFT — GACHA VOICE-ACTED SERIES
Welcome to HERO SHIFT!
Hi!! I'm 17 and I'm currently working on a Gacha voice-acted series called HERO SHIFT, and I'm looking for people who want to help me actually make this thing happen!
I've wanted to make a proper Gacha series for a while, and I don't want it to just be a few random episodes with no storyline. I want there to be characters people actually get attached to, funny moments, drama, secrets, action, friendships, and things that make you NEED to watch the next episode.
The story follows Riley Carter, a normal teenager whose life completely changes when she's recruited to secretly work with a superhero.
Now she has to somehow balance:
school + friends + family + homework + superhero missions + keeping a HUGE secret
...which obviously doesn't go very well.
One minute Riley is sitting in class trying to look normal, and the next she's being sent on a mission because something has gone completely wrong.
And while Riley is trying to keep her superhero life secret, people at school are starting to notice that something isn't right.
Her best friend is suspicious.
Her rival is asking questions.
And somewhere in the background, someone is already planning something much bigger.
The more Riley gets involved, the more she realizes that being a hero might not be as simple as she thought.
There will be comedy, action, friendships, rivalries, emotional scenes, mysteries, secrets, plot twists and a bigger storyline throughout Season 1.
Season 1 is planned to have 10 episodes, and I really want to build an actual team of people who are excited about the project instead of everyone just doing one thing and leaving.
🎙️ WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
I'm currently looking for:
🎙️ Voice Actors
Main and supporting characters, plus villains and extras.
✍️ Writers
People who can help with dialogue, episodes, jokes, character interactions and story ideas.
🎨 Background Artists
For schools, bedrooms, streets, headquarters, shops, mission locations, etc.
🎬 Animators
For character movement, action scenes, powers, effects and more.
🖥️ Video Editors
To put the scenes, voices, effects, backgrounds and everything together.
🧸 Prop/Asset Artists
For things like phones, gadgets, school stuff, furniture, superhero equipment and other little details.
⭐ BEFORE YOU AUDITION
Please read these first!
1. This is a passion project.
I don't have a budget right now, so the roles are unpaid. Please only audition if you're okay with that.
2. Please actually be interested in the project.
I'm hoping to find people who will stick around and communicate instead of disappearing after one episode.
3. You don't need to be a professional.
Seriously, you don't have to have a huge microphone setup or years of experience. If you're good at acting, writing, art, editing, etc., that's what matters to me.
4. Please be respectful.
Everyone working on the project is here to have fun and create something together. No drama, harassment, or being rude to other members.
5. Communication is important.
If you get cast, please let me know if you're going to be unavailable or need extra time. I'd much rather you tell me than disappear.
6. Please don't steal or repost other people's work.
Everything submitted should be your own work or something you have permission to use.
7. For voice actors:
Please record the 3 audition lines listed under the character you're applying for.
Try to actually act the lines instead of just reading them. I want to hear the character's personality!
8. Please tell me what role you're applying for.
If you're auditioning for multiple roles, that's completely fine — just say which ones.
💗 WHAT I WANT THIS PROJECT TO FEEL LIKE
I don't want HERO SHIFT to feel like a super serious professional production where everyone is scared to make mistakes.
I want it to feel like a group of creators got together and made something we're actually proud of.
I want us to be able to joke around, share ideas, help each other and get excited when a new episode is finished.
If the series does well, I'd also love to keep building the story beyond Season 1.
So if you're reading this and thinking "wait, this actually sounds fun", please audition!!
I'd genuinely love to see what you can do, even if you don't have much experience yet.
Thank you for checking out HERO SHIFT and good luck if you audition!! ♡

Age: 16
Voice actor: ME — NO AUDITION NEEDED
Riley is the main character of the series.
She's funny, stubborn, confident when she needs to be, and sometimes completely overwhelmed by everything happening around her.
She starts the series as a normal teenager and suddenly gets pulled into the superhero world.
She's trying to balance school, friendships, family, and secret missions without letting anyone discover what's really going on.
She can be sarcastic and chaotic, but she genuinely cares about the people around her.
Estimated lines: 250–350+ throughout Season 1
Casting: Already cast
*Say something you think would fit*
Age: 20s
Role: Experienced superhero / Riley's mentor
Vortex is the city's famous superhero and the person who recruits Riley.
He's confident, charismatic, and acts like he's always completely in control.
The problem is... he really isn't.
He can be extremely dramatic about small things, makes questionable decisions, and sometimes relies on Riley more than he'd like to admit.
He and Riley have a chaotic mentor/partner relationship.
Estimated lines: 180–250
Okay, before you panic, I should probably mention that this building is completely secure
Riley, whatever you do, DO NOT press the giant red button
You're telling me you saved the city, finished your homework, and still made it to school on time?
Age: 17
Role: Tech genius / Headquarters operator
Nova is the person behind most of the technology at headquarters.
She's extremely smart, sarcastic, and has absolutely no patience for stupid decisions.
She's usually the voice in Riley's earpiece during missions.
Nova loves gadgets and is always building something new.
She's also one of the few people who can make Vortex immediately regret doing something stupid.
Estimated lines: 140–200
Please tell me you didn't just break the most expensive gadget in the entire building
I've hacked into the security system. You have approximately thirty seconds before everything goes horribly wrong
Riley, I love your confidence. I don't love the fact that you have absolutely no plan
Age: 16
Role: Riley's best friend
Mia is Riley's closest friend at school.
She's energetic, friendly, curious, and VERY observant.
She's constantly noticing Riley disappearing, receiving strange messages, coming back with suspicious excuses, and acting weird.
At first she thinks Riley is hiding something normal.
Eventually, she starts wondering if something much bigger is going on.
Mia is also one of the main sources of comedy in the school scenes.
Estimated lines: 150–220
Okay, you've disappeared three times this week. I'm officially suspicious
Riley... why do you have a superhero gadget in your backpack?
You can tell me the truth. I promise I won't freak out
Age: 17
Role: Popular student / Riley's rival
Blake is confident, competitive, and a little annoying.
He likes being the center of attention and doesn't trust Riley because he thinks she's hiding something.
He's not necessarily a bad person. He's just incredibly nosy and determined to figure out what's going on.
He can also provide a lot of comedic moments.
Estimated lines: 100–160
You seriously expect me to believe that excuse?
Something is definitely going on with you, Riley. And I'm going to figure it out
Wait... you're telling me THAT was your plan?
Age: 30s–40s
Role: Head of the superhero operation
Director Vale runs the secret headquarters.
She's serious, intelligent, organized, and constantly trying to keep Vortex and Riley from destroying everything.
She expects everyone to follow the rules.
Unfortunately, nobody really does.
She has a more serious role during important story moments and helps introduce the bigger mysteries of the series.
Estimated lines: 90–140
Riley, this is not a game. People are depending on you
Vortex, I specifically told you not to take her on this mission
There's something you need to know about why you were chosen
Age: 30s
Role: Riley's teacher
Ms. Harper is Riley's teacher and has no idea about her secret life.
She's strict but not cruel and actually cares about her students.
She's constantly confused by Riley's strange excuses for being late or missing class.
Estimated lines: 50–90
Riley, this is the third time you've been late this week
I don't want excuses. I want your assignment on my desk tomorrow
Why do I have a feeling you're not telling me the whole story?
Age: 30s–40s
Role: Riley's mother
Amanda is caring, protective, and pretty good at noticing when something is wrong.
Riley constantly has to come up with excuses to explain where she's been.
Her relationship with Riley gives the series some of its more emotional family moments.
Estimated lines: 40–80
riley, honey, you've barely been home all week. Is everything okay?
You're not in trouble. I just want you to talk to me
Whatever is happening, you don't have to deal with it alone
Age: 18
Role: Main villain / mysterious criminal
Vex is intelligent, confident, sarcastic, and always seems to know more than she should.
She's not the type of villain who immediately attacks everyone. She prefers making plans, manipulating situations, and staying one step ahead.
At first, Riley doesn't even know who Vex really is.
She's going to be connected to the bigger mystery of the season.
Estimated lines: 100–150
You really thought I was going to make this easy for you?
You keep asking the wrong questions, Riley
Go ahead. Tell your superhero friend. See what happens
Age: 19
Role: Superpowered villain / Vex's partner
Ryker is much more impulsive than Vex.
He's confident, competitive, loud, and loves showing off.
Unlike Vex, he doesn't care much about complicated plans. He'd rather jump straight into a fight.
He can also bring a lot of comedy into villain scenes because he's sometimes way too confident about his own abilities.
Estimated lines: 80–120
Finally! Something interesting!
You've got powers? Great. Let's see what you can actually do
Wait... THAT was your big plan?
Age: Unknown
Role: Mysterious villain controlling everything from behind the scenes
Nobody knows the Director's real identity.
They rarely appear in person and communicate through screens, messages, or mysterious meetings.
The Director is calm, intelligent, and extremely difficult to read.
They don't need to yell or threaten people to feel intimidating.
Throughout Season 1, small clues about the Director's identity will slowly appear.
Estimated lines: 50–90
Everything is going exactly as planned
You still don't understand why Riley was chosen
Let them celebrate. They have no idea what's coming
