The Starborn Collective - Season 2 Casting/Hiring
Project Overview
What is The Starborn Collective?
The Starborn Collective is a collection of three audio dramas - Two initial ones, titled Infested and Subliminals, and then Starborn, a sequel that voice actors from this wave will also be involved in. It will be produced by me, amidst a team of assistants who will be helping to produce it. Season 1 is currently in the depths of production with multiple episodes fully completed, and Season 2 is now fully written, so we are now ready to cast for the second season!
Requirements:
Everyone on this team is relatively new and inexperienced, so we try to hold ourselves to the same standard that we hold any auditioning voice actors. You do not need to have a professional setup, however having a microphone that can record in good quality and having access to Discord is key to being able to partake in this project. A link to the public Discord server we have created can be found later in this description.
Please note: We WILL NOT be hiring minors.
Payment:
Unfortunately, this project is pay-free for the foreseeable future. This is a passion project at the moment that we hope to gain traction on in the future, but it is not currently in our budget to provide payment as we are all young and aspiring creators. Of course, this is subject to change in the distant future if all goes well but is a consideration for the distant future.
Role Significance:
Some voice actors will have to fulfil greater expectations than others depending on the importance of the character that they voice. For example, being in a leading role for this project means that you will likely be interacting with myself and the other producers frequently, so it is good not to have an aversion to social interaction and becoming acquainted with us as a staff team and a community.
Along with this, this show has multiple seasons planned out, and will be a multi-year time commitment. Please keep that in mind when auditioning. We are flexible with deadlines, but need our staff to be available as needed.
Relationships:
Most characters in this show are LGBTQ+ and end up in relationships that are also LGBTQ+. If you aren’t comfortable with portraying that, it’s best not to audition! Thank you!

Please submit all three lines as one file, for our convenience! If we ask for a portfolio, please include that either as a comment on your audition, or in the description of your audition.
The Starborn Collective team does not support the usage of Generative AI in any capacity. If your audition, portfolio, or profiles contain Generative AI we will not be considering you for any position.
Many of these voice roles have lots of intense moments, and may require screaming, general loudness, etc. If you are unable to commit to that, please reconsider auditioning.

A cold, calculated woman who is shrouded in mystery. Her motivations remain hidden, yet she seems to know far too much. Just her presence feels piercing.
We do not have a particular accent in mind for this role, and are more interested in seeing who can nail down the vibe of the voice itself!

An individual most would describe as calmer, or more chill, but still passionate. Most of their actions are driven by a curiosity that can’t ever seem to stop growing.
They will become a very active and important character in later seasons of the show, so if you audition for them, please be ready for a major commitment!

Along with this, with your audition, we would like for you to include a link to a sample of your singing - Preferably a portfolio. Good genres to submit for this include rock, scene, and electronica. Alternatively, English covers of vocaloid songs, songs by Ado, STARSET, 3OH!3, Bad Omens, Radiohead, or Marianas Trench. We aren’t really looking for softer genres/softer music for this!

A wildcard. His motives are unclear, and his need to throw himself into danger doesn’t make his intentions any more clear. “Adrenaline junkie” hardly covers it. But whatever it is he’s trying to achieve, he’s dead-set on it.

A small creature who is Gaia La’Sera’s symbiote, and thus her equal. He is a helper, but maintains a unique personality and has his own wishes.

Character 006’s Symbiote, much like Delta is to Gaia. Very particular about their environment. Tends to complain when they aren’t in optimal conditions. However, they are ultimately helpful, and will do what they can to help their symbiote.
