Student Film: Niko and Comet
Project Overview
Hello! Niko and Comet is a student animated short 2D film.
The story follows along our protagonist Niko with her companion Comet the cat living in a futuristic dystopian world. Niko and Comet in the film, find themselves working for a mafia boss to gain money to survive in this rough world, however begin to question whether there doing the right thing as the film proceeds.
We are looking for voice actors, music composer and singer!
We already have our main animatic complete and have begun animating, we lots of concept art for you to view to get a feel for all the characters and story!
We will mostly be commutating through discord, however feel free to message me through any social media, as well as ask me any questions.

Niko is a 18 year old living alone with her cat in a futuristic dystopian world. She is playful and feisty, but still has a strong heart and wants to do the right thing. She should sound strong and independent, but still young, cute and fun.
We aren't looking for any specific accent, we had an north American accent in mind, but feel free to play around.
[You are at a market and the shop owner tries to swindle you] Nice try rat! You tried that one last week!
[You are in the middle of a battle and you shout to your companion] Comet catch!
[You are stuck making a hard important decision] No, this is all wrong...we shouldn't be doing this.
Blackjack is the main antagonist for our film. He is a big mafia boss that runs a black-market the film takes place in. We are looking for two types of voices for him, we haven't decided yet to feel free to try both or one.
First: Stereotypical mafia boss, Italian American sounding, he is strong ,intimidating and gruff voice.
Second: 1950s cartoonish American accent, its expressive and playful, but he is still very intimidating and dark.
[You bought the weapon] Pleasure doing business with you
[You are in the middle of a job and have been interrupted] Kill them, I don't have time for these buffoons
[Your plan has been ruined] (shouting) You idiots!
Jimbo is a lackey who follows under the order of his mafia boss Blackjack. His accent is reminiscent of old mafia films. He is very weak, but acts tough, would happily betray his boss for a better opportunity. His voice sounds slightly high pitched, sarcastic tone. Feel free to add any improvisation
[You want to impress your boss] Ay boss, check this out
[You have just seen a powerful opponent appear] Lets scram!
[You are confident in yourself and are going to fight someone who started on your boss] Ya picked the wrong mouse to mess with
He is a raccoon who owns a little market store in a dangerous black-market, trying to swindle and scam his customers. He has a mischievous and sneaky, playful voice. Feel free to play around with his accent, we don't have anything specific in mind, improvisation is welcomed.
[You try to call over a naïve looking customer to your store] Hey kid! I got the best weapon and armour enhancement on the market!
[You are trying to persuade your customer] Whattya say kid! It's the best deal of the day!
[You customer see's through your scam and calls you a rat] Hey! Im a raccoon you idiot!
We are looking for someone who can make an lyrical original song for our student film. We want the song to be upbeat and jazzy, but still builds tension, as it takes place in a big fight scene in the story. We have an animatic ready to view, so you can have an idea of the story points and how the story flows.

We are currently in the process of writing the song for our project. But we are looking for a singer to fit our jazzy upbeat song. We have an animatic ready to view if you are interested in how the song fits the story.
