Hello everyone! We are the production team for the upcoming Junior Seminar Film, Stolen Hearts, and would like to announce that our casting call is open now! This call will be closing March 8th!
What’s this film about?: A young man’s first date at a museum takes an unexpected turn when his date turns out to be a jewel thief.
What’s our timeline?: The film will be premiering in early May, but we aim to have our first pass of voice recordings completed by the end of March-early April to go along with our animatic and early animation process.
What’s the pay?: We are on a student budget so pay will be limited, but the starting compensation is $20.
Requirements?:
Have a quality microphone (we have one available on campus, however having actors be able to work remotely is a bonus)
Have a discord account
Prior experience is preferred for all applicants but not required
Being able to meet our deadlines (we’ll details if you’re chosen for the role)
Roles We Are Casting:
Marilyn: Our leading lady, Marilyn is cool and collected, using her seductive charm to get her way. She is a young woman in her early/mid twenties.
Clarence: The poor guy who finds himself wrapped up in Marilyn’s heist, Clarence is your stereotypical nerd. He’s awkward and naive, but sweet. He’s a young man in his early/mid twenties.

Line 1 (Context: Replying to Clarence asking if she works at the museum, which she does not unbeknownst to him): That’s alright, I work here.
Line 2 (Context: Costume change from her cute date clothes to her sleek black thief outfit): Excuse me for a moment, I’m going to change into something more comfortable.
Line 3 (Context: Before she makes her escape after the alarm goes off): Sorry, there’s no “we” as of now. But don’t worry, the police will take care of you.

Line 2 : Oh wow! Is this an ammonite fossil? You know these things (launches into rant-improv whatever you want for 5-10 seconds)
Line 3 (Context: Replying to Marilyn asking him if he set off the alarm, which he did accidentally): No! Yes! Maybe!- I don’t know, but you said you worked here!
