Sly Cooper: Thievius Opportunity - 3D Fan Animation
Project Overview
Hello I am Hydro, animator and creative director at 6 Bird Studio! An indie animation studio, and we're working on our next project, a Sly Cooper 3D fan animation.
Our project is an original Sly Cooper adventure, set during the events of Sly 2 shortly after Episode 1. The gang make ready to pull of a heist, robbing a mobster of his goods at his illegal gambling ring!
We've been in production and have been making progress on animation. Voice actors will be asked to dub over existing animation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 18+
- Must carry a decent microphone to provide for voice recordings and sessions.
ADDITIONAL INFO
As it stands, unfortunately this is purely a volunteer project. Though I promise you will be credited to the fullest extent, and hopefully provide more opportunities for work outside out studio by having your voice heard by others.

Voice Actor
Sly is a cunning, devious, quick-witted, charming, suave, nimble-witted, agile, brave, and good-natured gentleman thief. He uses his wit, courage, charm, and skills to pull off jobs, and often crack jokes and sarcastic comments at the expense of others and as a very cynical, laid-back raccoon. Sly is also very cool, calm, laid-back, level-headed, rational, and collected, and manages to keep a calm head in stressful and chaotic situations.
Your audition should reflect these characteristics.

Voice Actor
Initially portrayed as a coward, Murray gradually developed confidence over the course of Sly 1. By the time Sly 2 takes place, he had began going out into the field regularly as the gang's muscle. He also took on the habit of referring to himself in the third person as "The Murray." Even with his newfound combat prowess however, he still had a passion for driving.
Audition lines should reflect these character traits and the voice of Murray can be done in that of either Sly 2s style or Sly 3s style.

Voice Actor
Our main antagonist, Dax Redfang. Dax is an original character made for the animation, but we reuse the game model of the “Tiger Flashlight guard” from Sly 3.
Dax’s character traits are that of a sassy mob boss. With tiger-like features like commanding presence, and explosive anger that manifests in an instant.
He’s also arrogant and has a huge ego. Any little thing that annoys him, he instantly makes whoever causes it pay for it.
Think character traits similar to Shere Khan from the Jungle book, with his playful insults to rile up his prey, and being soft spoken and sassy. Yet when something doesn’t go his way, he explodes into rage.
The style of voice I’m searching for really is something like Shere Khan from Disney's The Jungle book. A deep and raspy voice, a British accent isn’t required, but if an actor can do it, it’ll definitely help their chances of getting casted.
Ideally I’m looking for a similar tone and being able to replicate that smooth sassy voice.

“Good Evening to you all.. I wish you the best of luck in our annual Venice games… You’ll need it. Please help yourself to some drinks.” [CONTEXT - Dax is welcoming guests to his venue. He starts smooth and inviting, but just as he finishes his line towards the “You’ll need it..” he sounds devious and even has a slight chuckle at the end of it.]
Nonsense, they’re like every other player. Weak with no guts to do what is necessary to win…” [CONTEXT - Cocky, arrogant, determined, underestimating - The context to this line is a bodyguard for Dax is mentioning how this year's poker competition has good players in the mix. But Dax blows it off and remains confident]
Anyone who wishes to join a REAL game, come sit at this table. [CONTEXT - Inviting, cocky, devious, tiger like.
Voice Actor
Carmelita Fox has a relationship with Sly that’s half romantic and the other half toxic. Since Carmelita is a law enforcement agent, she naturally is trying to put away Sly and his gang.
However she has romantic feelings for Sly that she tends to suppress but at times, cannot. A lot of the cat and mouse drama with Sly and Carmelita is Sly teasing her playfuly and Carmelita teasing in return or being upset by Slys “Rage baiting” attempts.
What I am looking for is a smooth, foxy tone. She envelopes you with her sultry voice, only to pounce and explode in a fit of rage when she has you, or becomes very upset. The Sly Cooper video games changed up her voice style several times. What I am looking for is a plain American accent with those traits that I mentioned above.

“You look familiar… Are you in law enforcement?” - [Context - Carmelita has a familiar feeling of the person she’s speaking with.. But can’t quite put her finger on it. She seems suspicious but at the same time curious.]
"Tell me stranger... what's your name?" - [Curious, intrigued, flirty]
"You crooks are soo predictable." - YOU always return to the scene of the crime. [Disappointed, cocky. This line is delivered with the vibe that she's disapointed it was THIS easy to catch the crook, but at the same time is cocky about her abilities.]
