Sew in Love
Project Overview
Sew in Love is our entry for yuri jam 2020. It follows our MC, Nova Ivanovski, over the span of two weeks as she stays in Riversone with her older brother, Kyro, and their friend, Brooke, to show support for the latter's entry in the Winter Cosplay Championships. Nova finds herself in the middle of a bitter rivalry between Brooke and her nemesis in cosplay- Imani Pierce. Will she follow her heart and pursue a relationship with her friend's enemy?
Sew in Love features characters from two of my other games- Summer at Marisol Bay AND Snowdrop (but knowledge of either is unnecessary to enjoy the game).
Please note- this game is for Yuri Jam 2020 that ends on Dec 1st. The auditions will be open until Nov 7th and then lines are expected to be in by the 25th. This will be partially voice acted (30ish lines for each role, mostly short reactions and a few word sentences)

Nova Ivanovski is a spunky individual who's full of life. Nova is very personable. She's the kind of person who could make friends with just about anyone. She feels very strongly about maintaining good relationships and will stop at nothing to protect those she cares about. Nova is down to earth and wants to see the good in everyone- she's also a bit of a sarcastic jokester. (If you played Summer at Marisol Bay, Nova is Kyro's younger sister! Though any knowledge of that game isn't needed to enjoy this one)
Mid-ranged, but can be a little lower. A slight raspy tone is encouraged but not required!

“So... she’s good at doing makeup and taking pictures. Pfft, that doesn’t mean anything. You can totally still win!” (Nova has just looked at the social media account of a semi-famous cosplayer and she's trying to reassure her friend that there's nothing to worry about in the cosplay competition.)
“Pssh, you’re acting like we’re going to get into trouble. Everything will be fine, just lighten up a little.” (Teasing her brother about doing something potentially dangerous)
“I’ll just wow the audience with my good looks and charm. It’ll be an instant win.” (Confident but also joking)
Imani Pierce is a semi-famous cosplayer with thousands of followers on her social media accounts. She is a contender in the Winter Cosplay Championships being held in Riversone. Imani also happens to be Brooke's nemesis and actual rival. She doesn't much care for the girl and while she tries to interact with her with fake kindness at first, that wares off quite easily as she loses her temper.
Imani for the most part is calm and collected and thinks about what she says before she says it. She's guarded because of her fame and wanting to protect her brand. She's in her early 20s and is the only love interest.

"You're standing here all sad. It’s weird. You’re putting this bad buzz on my creative flow.” (Joking, sounding a bit snobbish on purpose)
“Ugh, you’re bringing up THAT cosplay of all things? Gosh I used costume store makeup…” (Reminiscing with her old friend...slightly horrified at the embarrassing memory)
“Is that what she said? Oh, Brooke is a trip! That isn’t what happened at all!" (Angry exclamation)
