Witness Pokémon like never before... ignoring the three-at-minimum attempts other people have made at this.
Welcome to Pokébridge, a Pokémon Abridged series focused on retelling the original anime in a comedic, fast-paced style. We're here to laugh, to cry, to point out the questionable aspects like a ten-year-old going off into a world of fantasy creatures alone! Who knows what will happen! This project is a love-letter to the Pokémon anime, meant to relive the great moments while occasionally taking the piss out of scenes. If you're auditioning, this will have fast dialogue and crude jokes (18+ content), so be warned.
Below are some rules when auditioning. The following are:
You must be 18 or older to audition! No disrespect to those younger, but I do not want to even entertain morally questionable choices based around age. You don't have to tell me your age when auditioning, but if I find out someone is younger you will be removed from the project.
Mic quality should be decent. You don't need studio quality microphones to try for roles, but you're voice should be clear to hear. No fans or other background noise please.
State your lines in AABBCC format, meaning you repeat a line twice. This is so you can show me more of your range without 5-minute auditions sent in.
No filters/effects on voices! You can trim your files to be shorter, but do not edit the voices! I will add them on my end.
Please try to have access to Discord. I want everyone to have the same form of communication so that we can communicate clearly and in a timely manner.
If you are cast, be prepared to deliver lines in a timely manner. I can extend the due date a few days if you communicate with me, but those drastically late consistently without informing me may be removed from the project.
That should be it on the rules. I know it's a bit much for a public project like this, but I want this project to have a standard of good quality that everyone enjoys being a part of. Feel free to audition for as many roles as you'd like. I'd actually prefer a smaller number of people to cast. Just make sure that they sound at least a little different.
Thank you for reading all of this. I'm very excited to start work on Pokébridge, and am ecstatic to bring you on this journey with me! Good luck with your auditions!
