Gary Oak (Rival)

You snooze you lose, and the grandson of famous Professor Oak's no loser. Gary is genuinely talented, and he knows it. He is incredibly arrogant and snarky, never wanting to let someone else have the last laugh. When he runs into Ashy-boy, it's always a ball finding new ways to annoy him and put him in his place! Just don't tell him that he has no friends. He hasn't figured that out yet.

The late James Carter Cathcart is my recommended inspiration for this voice, as he captured the attitude of Gary perfectly. He is an arrogant character with the talent to back up his claims, so the voice should convey that. Having a bit of rasp works, but don't feel required to recreate that exactly. He develops overtime, but will forever be very confident in himself.
