Phoenix Sai - Gacha Series
Project Overview
Phoenix Sai is a mystery high school series. It’s Amy’s first day of sophomore year, and everything is going a little.. weird, but it’s something she can get behind. Navigating the rest of her day with Katie, things seem at least.. normal, until we hear about Mr’s Phoenix’s “program”. Could this mean something? This is a magical series, and has lgbtq+ concepts. If you’re not ok with that, this project isn’t the one for you. I’m unsure on some of the character ranges, so try all ranges possible for the character you’re auditioning for. This series will possibly be renewed for a season 2, but we don’t know for sure. When auditioning, try all of the pitches for the role. If I feel like you could be used for another character, you might be casted as such. More roles are going to be posted throughout, so don’t feel down if you didn’t get casted

Amy is the main character in the series. She’s fun and outgoing, but knows when to get down to business and be serious. She’s a 15 year old female, (sophomore)
She is later on the leader of the resistance, before she hands the title over to Brianna. She’s very dependent on her best friend, Katie, and goes to her for pretty much everything. She‘s the only one in school who hasn’t discovered what her power is, but she’s there because of connections. She keeps getting dreams of Phoenix Sai, a legendary warrior who supposedly died many years ago. Does this mean anything?

Katie is the 2nd lead in the series. She just turned 15, is dorm mates with Amy, and majors teleportation magic. She can be very nit picky at times, but is genuinely nice and a good advice giver. She’s the first person to realize something strange is going on, and starts to get more people on board to join the resistance. She later on gets into a huge fight with Amy, will this lead to her demise?

Mrs Phoenix is one of Phoenix Sai’s creators. She’s very energetic and bouncy. She’s the main adult antagonist. She’s the principal of the school, but uses magic to make her look younger than she actually is. No one really knows what she looks like. She can be very scary at times, and starts the whole “secrecy” thing with the spies and corruption magic. She first goes after Nathan, causing him to have major space out sessions and energy surges.

Cristian is the 3rd main character in the series. He can seem hard to approach at firs, but he’s an easy person to talk to once you get to know him. He’s very secretive and often wants to get sleep, but is always waken up by something. Because of everything going on, he’s forced to become a spy and betray his friends. He tries to make subtle hints something is going on (which Katie gets) but it has to be very secretive or else it’ll put his friends in danger

Ari is the 4th lead in the series. She’s a very shy, closeted person. She has social anxiety and is extremely nervous around new people, but when she’s with people she trusts she’s very talkative, honest, and fun. She can rant about pretty much anything to her closest friends, and can open up to people pretty quickly, while still having trust issues. Ironic isn’t it? She’s the most powerful magic user in Phoenix Sai. She is expected to be perfect from her parents, but doesn’t have to when she dorms here. She later on has a romantic relationship with Clara, but has liked Nathan near the beginning of the series.

Nathan is the last main character. He is trans, so those topics will be brought up at a later point. He’s very shy but opens up to people around him, and isn’t afraid to speak up when needed. He’s the type to overthink EVERYTHING, and can get nervous at small actions he’s done. He’s the first to get “corrupted” and gets in a relationship with one of the other males later on in the series. He’s one of the most important characters in the series’s entirety.

Clara is a secondary character who's very passionate about music, gaming and voice acting. She majors art and dorms with Ari and Emily. She’s very outgoing and upbeat, loves making friends. She always knows how to have a good time, and is a great advice giver. Shes an open bisexual. She’s liked Ari for years now, but keeps it hidden as she’s aware of her crush on Nathan at the time. She is known to break down to pressure when it’s too much. She occasionally swears (she’s open to it) but if you can’/don’t want to curse for this role it’s completely fine and can be rearranged.

Emily is also a secondary character and she struggles with being herself around people. She’s seen as mysterious and holds a hard grudge against Xavier because of their past. They’re seen as rivals. She’s an art major and has studied to be very powerful at what she does. Although the hard exterior, she's best friends with Ari and Clara, and opens up to them a lot.

Xavier is another supportive character. He likes to be playful with his “rival” Eddie and his soon to be girlfriend Nicole. He’s very apologetic, as he had a bad past. Although he’s clearly seen to have changed, Emily believes otherwise. He hopes to reconnect with her one day. He majors illusion magic with Eddie. He isn’t the best, but it’s not that bad either.

Eddie is a supportive character. He dorms with Xavier, and has a crush on Nicole (they get together later) He is very uptight, but likes to play games with Clara. He’s always seen as “second” to his friends, until Nicole shows him otherwise. His secret hobby is being able to play the drums, and him, Clara, Ari, and Marie start a band at a later point.

Nicole is another supportive character. She majors teleportation magic, and is pretty powerful in her field. She’s a very fun and energetic character, and has a huge crush on Eddie. They later on get together. She’s best friends with Xavier, and they can joke about pretty much anything. She’s learned to be calm in panicky situations. If she’s in a dangerous situation, she cries to herself and doesn’t let anyone see her emotions. Eddie is the only one who has seen her cry in that way.

Brianna is the last supportive character. She majors garden magic, and is extremely powerful. She later on becomes head of the resistance. She loves sunflowers, listens to metal music sometimes but likes almost every genre, and can become pretty scary when mad. She liked Nathan in the past, they are close friends, but later on goes to like the antagonist, not available in the casting call in the moment.

Jasmine is the first tertiary character. She majors in puppeteer magic, and becomes important later on. She’s very playful at times, but gets nervous at every little thing she does wrong. She’s currently dating Jason, (currently not in the casting call) and is exes with Xavier. Even thought she’s the most popular girl in school, she’s constantly compared to her sister, and she hates it. She tries to be role models for her cousins, Marie and Nicole, but it can be tough at times when she doesn’t even like who she is. She was forced to study puppeteer magic earlier on, as it’s an advanced course. She’s later on one of the heads of the resistance later on.

Marie is another tertiary character. She’s part of the student council with her sisters (Nicole and Lexi) and her cousins (Jasmine and Adora), and dorms with them. She's kind, caring, a bit more on the shy side, and one of the more powerful characters. She’s noticed Bloom’s crush on her, and starts to like her as well. She majors in the gardening area, which goes hand in hand with her ability to grow and control plants.

Bloom is a very fun and bouncy character. She majors gymnastics and close combat, and is best friends with Joanna. She has a crush on Marie, and is very outgoing and energetic. She’s very social but freezes in front of Marie, and is very powerful in her close combat. She tends to help take leadership in panicking situations, and is the other head of the resistance later on. She tries to not let other people’s opinions get ahead of her.

Joanna is a very playful character. They’re in gymnastics and close combat with Bloom. They’re aro/ace and go by they/she/he (can differentiate). She’s very playful with anyone she meets, and Bloom is his closest friend. They’re afraid of what his parents think, but he has learned not to care as much. She dorms with Bloom and Brianna.
