Heyyy!!
So, Owls Vs. Aliens: College Files is a webtoon at the moment, but I really just want to get some voices for the characters so it's a little bit easier to promote the comic.
The work will be a little sporadic ... meaning you may not have any projects for a couple of months and then -BAAM- I need you for a quick 30second video! Make sense?
Story description:
A comedic story following two brothers, as they learn the true meaning of Family, Love, and Brotherhood. Along with their unique mix of college friends. But first they must overcome their mutual attraction to a particular Irish fellow. Whom they dated, simultaneously, unaware of the others existence. Join them! On this, hilariously awkward, yet, surprisingly wholesome, family story.
Heyyy!! im going to add some more characters, so even if your submission was shortlisted or dismissed there will be another chance. Please continue to audition!
Characters will include:
Momoko
Bambi
Benito
Long Wei
Heyyy, just for future reference :) or if you would like to audition again, Donavon does have an Irish accent! It doesn't need to be perfect, just noticeable!
Voice Actor
Donavon is a gay Irish young adult who has dealt with mental health issues from a young age due to his home life. He is currently living in Maryland with his boyfriend whom he cheated on before the story even began.
My only requirement for this role is that you be able to do a decent Irish Accent.
How good it is doesn't really matter :)) he's been living in the USA for a long time now after all.
Something else to note would be that this character suffers from eating disorder tendencies.
(Kind of heat in the moment, said it just to stop an argument from breaking out) I didn't tell you because I knew you'd be angry ...
(He is tired of listening to Roman interrogate everyone) Calm down, you’re freakin’ out over notin’, the apartments gettin’ fixed so what does it matter?
(He is being confronted by someone he hates about the situation with Roman) I still don't really know why I did it ... I'm really fucking sorry ok? I said I'm fucking sorry to him! What else do you want from me?
Voice Actor
Roman is a half Romanian-half Brazilian boy. He is bisexual and Donavon's boyfriend. Best known for his cooking and photo realistic paintings. Blessed with crippling anxiety.
Only requirement for this role is a Romanian accent and speak at least a little Romanian
(Roman is trying to figure out who flooded the apartment, he is exhausted but won't rest until he figures it out) It matters because I had to wait an extra three hours to have my after work shower! Not to mention the fact zat I have not slept yet!
Because I need to figure out who flooded the apartment! If it wasn’t you! And it wasn’t Deckle then..
You what? (he just found out who flooded the apartment and is in shock)
Voice Actor
Braiden works as a software developer for a tech company. He is also known for being quite a mischievous person, often causing trouble for his brother, Roman. But there's also a soft and vulnerable side to him. All his life he has struggled with people loving him and showing his love to other people.
My only requirement for this role would be that you are able to speak at least a little bit of Spanish or Portuguese .
Faucets leaking, I'm headin' out to buy some tools to fix it.
Yeah and I’m not about to spend half an hour looking for it. (annoyed)
*Snorts* "Dumbass."
Voice Actor
Deckle is a mixed boy. He is very creative and often given the nickname "Fairy Boy". The character can sometimes be very aloof and unaware of societal norms. He speaks with an Austrian accent!
The only requirement for Deckle is that you are able to do an Austrain accent :) if you are someone with a more feminine or soft voice this is the role for you!
*Smiles proudly* I called a plumber for the sink!
I will call you back later bussi baba!
9:00! But I woke up at 8:00, then I did my morning stretches, then I called my family, then-
Voice Actor
Crimson is the second sunshine of the group. She is a very creative soul! She loves painting and making pottery, and may or may not have a crush on Braiden. Her main function in the group is being someone that any of them can talk to whenever.
I will say her voice is quite deep while still being considered "feminine".
*Happy* "okayyyyyyy"
*Beaming* "I really like your shirt Roman; it's super cute!"
hmm *looks at her phone* robin says she thinks it'll be another hour or 2 before she makes it back ... but shes bringing some food!
