The Project
Cryptic College is a visual novel based dating simulator currently featuring seven routes where each choice the player makes impacts the game in the long run. It takes place on a college campus and revolves around the player stumbling into the lives of seven rather attractive boys.
This a project that I've been working on for a little over a month now. I'm doing all of the artwork and coding, all I need is for you guys to bring your a-game when it comes to the voice acting.
What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for a group of voice actors who can provide their lines with the same level of passion for the project that I have. This is not a paid project, so all work will be done for the sake of making something great versus for the sake of pay. This is subject to change if the project takes off successfully, however there is no guarantee that it will.
Any actors we bring on board will be expected to provide their lines ON TIME! If you are unable to do so, you will first be warned and then be kicked off the project if you continue to be unable to deliver your lines.
I'm looking for actors with good microphones with little to no background noise.
I'm also looking for actors who can bring a large range of emotion. There will be bad endings in this game, meaning that some characters will cry or get angry. Show me that you can harness your emotions and turn them into something great.
Discord
I will be using Discord to communicate with you so it is very important that you have one. There will be a special server set up just for the voice actors. I want this to be a friendly environment, so no toxicity towards each other will be tolerated.
There is also a Patron exclusive Discord that I plan to set up as the project progresses and I would prefer the voice actors join that as well.

Noah Cohen is 22 years old and the oldest of the group by only a few months. As such, in most situations he tends to take the lead in a heartfelt and caring manor. For his voice actor, I'm looking for someone who can pull off a soft, more mature voice without losing the playfulness that a 22 year old gamer and memer would possess.
{Comforting someone when they're sad} Hey hey, don't cry okay? Look, everything's gonna be okay, I promise! Hey, c'mon, look at me...
{Annoyed at one of his friends} Dude are you seriously going to try this again? Last time you did this, it made the whole dorm stink for two weeks! That was hell!
{Confessing his feelings} I just- When I look at you it feels like I won a game of competitive! I know that that's a stupid analogy but I don't have anything else to compare it to. My chest swells, my heart feels like it's going to burst out of my chest, everything just feels so amazing that I almost can't breathe!
Ryan Rees is 21 years old and captain of the Cryptic College swim team. He has a monster sized ego and is always rather flirtatious because of it. For his voice, I'm looking for something similar to the cocky playfulness of Mirage from Apex Legends.
{Flirting} Damn, am I lookin in the mirror or is there really someone standing in front of me who's just as hot as I am?
{Annoyed at one of his friends} You're such a buzzkill man! I was just tryna have some fun and flirt it up a little with those girls.
{Cocky/Bragging} Yeah, I got first place again, not really surprising though considering I'm the best of the best.
James Holland is 21 years old and basically just a giant teddy bear. He is very sensitive, despite what his stature and looks might make you think, and when he gets hurt, it takes him a while to recover. But those he loves, he loves fiercely. For his voice actor, I'm looking for someone who can pull off a deeper, gruff voice but carry soft and heartfelt emotions.
{After hugging someone too tightly} Oh- I’m sorry! Did that hurt? Are you okay?
{Trying to control his anger after someone hurt his friend} I really- REALLY don’t think you understand how big of a mistake you just made.
{Heartbroken} Are-are you serious? Is this really what's going to make you happy? I'm not questioning your choice, I know you're smart it's just... I really thought it was going to be us together until the very end. I really thought you loved me.
Landon Wrightsworth is 20 years old and is the lead singer and lead guitarist of his own band known as the White Lions. The voice actor for this role MUST BE ABLE TO SING! For his speaking voice, I'm looking for someone who is relatively quiet, closed off and easily startled.
{Annoyed} Guys can you please keep it down? I'm trying to sleep and all your bickering is making my head hurt
{Surprised} Oh- I, umm, I was just practicing my singing is all, I really didn't expect anyone else to be here since it's so late...

Saif Nielson is the youngest of the group at only 19. He is bright, bubbly and excited about nearly everything. For his voice, I'm looking for something similar to Todd Haberkorn, higher in pitch and with a slight accent from another country (No country specifically, just enough of an accent to make him sound foreign without being specific)
{Witnessing fireworks for the first time} Holy- Oh my- That's so cool!! How do they get all the different colors up there?! It's so beautiful!

{Casual conversation with his friends} I really didn't know the bottle was going to explode if I shook it! I mean, seriously, mentos are just candy and coke is just soda, how was I supposed to know?
{Embarrassed // Confessing his feelings} I mean, it's super easy to flirt with a camera because you don't have to see the face on the other side, but when I talk to you it's like my brain turns to putty and I can't find the words to say.

Raya is a deeply sarcastic person. She has her sweet moments, but the majority of her personality is sarcastic and intense.
(Caught off guard by a compliment) Oh umm... thank you, but you really don’t need to say things like that to me...
(Caught her friend doing something stupid // being mean but not too serious about it) Do you have any idea how ridiculously stupid you look? You are an absolute mongoloid of a human.

Okawa (Oh-Kah-Wah) is a bit of an airhead. She gets very excited about things but can’t really seem to get her head on straight for things that don’t matter. She has a bit of a “valley girl” voice but just barely.
(Excited about an upcoming party) Hell yeah!! There will be booze and girls and boys and everything a little Okawa like me wants!
(Trying to figure out a math problem she’s been stuck on for hours) So if I just... carry the two... wait what? That doesn’t make any sense! Where did that two even come from?
(Sad because she didn’t get to make it to her best friends birthday party) I wanted to be there! I really did... some stuff just got in the way... lunch to make up for it?
Khai is the type of character who tries to be everyone’s best friend. He’s protective and makes sure his friends are well taken care of.
(Found out his best friend went to a party filled with frat guys) You went to a frat party?? By yourself?? Well no one tried anything right? If anyone did, they'll have to deal with me!
(Advising his friend against a bad idea) I’m just saying, you remember what happened last time. I don’t know if trying again is really the best idea.
(Sad because the girl he likes is going on a date with someone else) I just... man, I know they’re gonna make her happy but... it’s heartbreaking, honestly... I wish I could make her happy...
Sophia is a shy, hesitant person. She’s very soft spoken and doesn’t often raise her voice. She’s sweet and kind, with an almost motherly air around her.
(Talking about her outfit choice) I saw it at the store and thought it would look cute! Oh... it doesn’t..? I’ll try harder next time...
(Overheard a mean rumor about her) Maybe it’s true... what they said... I don’t know, it just seems like a lot of people think that... don’t you think?
(Cheering on her friends) You-You got this! I believe in you!
