Songs of War: What If...? Voiceover Casting [Wave 2]
Project Overview
Songs of War: What If...? is a Fanmade spin-off series based off of the medieval fantasy production called Songs of War by Squared Media. Songs of War was about a land called Ardonia, where the story of an outcast species rises up to take revenge on the world. One Ardoni, titled the Deathsinger, set out to ensure his people were never persecuted again.
Songs of War: What If...? is a series that dives deep into the hypothetical scenarios of different results of a certain event that happened in the original Songs of War story. Different stories take place each episode, and different endings to the original Songs of War based on if something happened differently than how it did in the original Songs of War.
This casting call is looking for all roles in the series. Some of them may need to be recasts of the original characters from Songs of War. Many of the original voice actors did reprise, but not all of them. If you have any questions about this production, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Alec is the right-hand man to Captain Kiyoshi, he is often used as either a messenger or the leader of a fight. He is skilled with his golden sword and is more knowledgeable than most. However, he is sometimes fearful and that does taint his ability to fight. He is a human in an army of felinas, but fits right in. He and Kiyoshi are close friends.

Denny is a young farmer who, by prophetic chance, becomes an Enderknight under Abbigail's rule. He is young and inexperienced, but honest and humble. He was never fortunate in his life, and often became angered when those more fortunate than him took their luck for granted, specifically his higher-up, Allister.
His voice should be light and middle-pitched. He is your classic young male.

Yujuki is the Captain of the Guard of Hydraphel. She is a strong warrior and a loyal friend to Kiyoshi, who would also defy upper command in order to do what she believes is right. She's a passionate fighter and patriotic towards Hydraphel.
Her voice should be a deeper female voice have a lot of chest voice. She should sound strong and passionate.

Glacians are the oldest living species in all of Ardonia, they are the keepers of history and the writers of the Walls of Time. They are some of the wisest known people in the entire world, and they are only found in the northernmost points of Ardonia. They provide useful information and are often seen as all-knowing creatures in which people go to in order to find answers to long-asked questions about the universe. They are creatures seemingly made of ice, and have lived for centuries, even longer than the Netharan Royal Family (and they live up to 1000).
Their voices should sound old, ghostly, and wise, their voices should be on the low side with some weight. Whenever they speak, it should make the scene feel calming.

Borgen is the pacifistic leader of K'arthen. His species is Magnorite, a creature made of rocks. Magnorites only live a very short amount of time, so Borgen makes the most of his life by ensuring that K'arthen is at peace. Though, as a magnorite, he is a natural-born fighter.
His voice should be deep but gentle, he is a gentle giant and does care about his people. He is a very reasonable and likeable character.

Rez is the strongest survivor of a dying world, he must unite what is left to survive.
His voice should be strong and prominent, his voice should be mid-ranged.

Cydric is a good friend of Grarth, he joined the necromancers around the same time as him. He has a similar behavior to him.
He should have a mid-low gruffy voice.

Kaelos is the leader of K'arthen during the first Great War. He is a strong fighter, and stern talker.
His voice should be low, gruff, and demanding.

Yokoshi is the Captain of the Guard of Felden during the First Great War. He is also Captain Kiyoshi's grandfather.
His voice should sound similar to Kiyoshi, but must be deeper due to the age gap.

This is a one-lined character that only shows up in one episode. However this one-liner is a major part of the Episode. If you'd please provide your audition, I will cast you as so and utilize your audition for the episode. This can be of any gender, any age, anyone. Our only requirement is that it is a high-intensity line, and will require some screaming, so decent audio equipment may be required.
Context: You are running from the main antagonist down a hall towards a group of warriors, you are fearing for your life and scream to warn the warriors, but you get stabbed through the back by a flying weapon right after you warn them.
You will be credited in the end-credits of the Episode for sharing your work, thank you.

Your audition may be used as background voices/ambiance for certain scenes. You also have a shot at getting a one-line role as an 'extra'.
Background characters can range from a messenger demon creature, to a warrior of the Ardoni clans, to a child, to a kingdom representative. You can either say words that you think would fit this series or drop your demo reel. We will reach out to you individually if we think you'd be a good fit.
We also may require some background noise for battling, you can insert certain grunts or death sounds alongside your audition.
