Project Overview
Disordered Media is currently seeking TWO voice actors for our upcoming video game demo. Both these roles are for characters with musical/singing needed.
Mikey's role is split, while Anita's is not. Looking for actors who can do both singing and voice for her.
Actors able to do both will have priority in the Mikey role, however you can still audition if not.
More Than "one way" (stylized as >one way) is a a first-person single player survival horror game, we’ve been developing since the start of 2022. In More Than "one way" face the internet horrors that haunt your past. The one's you've never heard of. They don't exist. We're working on finalizing voices for our first demo!
CW: Suicidal Ideation, blood, gore, and video game violence
CASTING INFORMATION
>Payment - $100-$150 Flat.
Each character has a set number of lines and expressions in this first round. Payment will be made through Paypal.
>Voice Direction - Self-directed, Remote.
We will provide context + descriptions and will give feedback if a line needs to be re-recorded.
>Commitment - If you are cast, we expect the delivery of all your lines within one week of script delivery.
This is an entry into the whole role but given future funding we would like to invite you to reprise your role later on in the game’s production. As the full game’s script is being worked on we will have a better estimate of those total lines and payment rates at that later time.
>Communication - All file sharing and main communication will be done through e-mail.
We expect prompt responses and communication for any extension requests. Discord or CCC Direct messaging may be used as a quick way of reaching the cast and team.
GUIDELINES
↳ You MUST be at least 18 years of age for this project.
↳ You MUST have a valid email address for casting updates and final submissions.
Discord is preferred secondary contact.
↳ You MUST have a proper quality recording setup. Auditions require no editing further than basic clean up to hear your recording space.
↳ Please note that we are looking for actors who can both voice and sing for these roles. Priority goes to those actors.
↳ Please use provided character information to give your best interpretation of the character(s). Feel free to improvise pauses, “ums”, or word substitutions.
↳ Max 2 takes per VA, read in ABC, ABC order.
↳ Any demo reels or private auditions can be forwarded to our email or direct message. We will be casting in 2024 Q4 and 2025 Q2 for further roles!

Adult. Enthusiastic female lead in a 70's cartoon and amusement park ride. Her joy and cheer is deeply contagious, she knows how to lead you through adventure and keep you going when times get tough. Very cheerful, but it seems there's something more behind her smile.
VOICE NOTES - Anita as a cartoon character is the very embodiment of joy and sweetness, however this is an animatronic representation of the character. She doesn't need to sound natural, she needs to sound like recorded voice lines that have been repeated for decades, stuck in the 70s. Full image reference

20s. Larger than life eternal Rockstar God. Riding the high of his ego, and hypnotic vocals. Mikey embodies the 1980's glam metal scene, and understands the power behind a good performance. He is unconcerned with anything but his own entertainment. A predator playing with his food. Full image reference
VOICE NOTES - Confident, can easily be condescending. Still, there maybe is a hint of boyishness beyond the glitz, glamor, and hairspray- a glimpse of humble origins left behind for the stage. Mikey's voice is his greatest gift, and he is very purposeful with his speech and delivery. Can ad-lib vocalizations, or whatever you feel is fitting.
INSPO - Death, Puss in Boots (line delivery - the inspiration is not necessarily about the tone/deepness of voice. Focus on how he delivers his lines and the dynamic he has with Puss, not the accent.)
