Casting Complete.
Thank you to everyone auditions. I will being make another casting call soon for some of the extras. I will make an update here when I do. I am excited to see you all when I do!
This is the last of three casting calls for Featherfall Studios' 5th Fandubbing project! I am pumped to begin working on our Night in the Woods Fandub. This fandub partially controlled by our Patrons, which means we will not be doing every scene from the game. This casting call is for the main characters of the game so we can begin making trailers.
Night in the Woods is a side scrolling adventure game made by Infinite Fall & Secret Lab. It follows Mae, a college dropout, coming home to her small town. She meets her old friends and builds relationships with both them and her parents; however, it seems that something is amiss in the town with people missing and a random disembodied arm on the street.
To audition, please follow these basic rules:
1. Have a good microphone; that means no pops, crackling, or other distracting noises. We should be able to clearly hear your lines with no background sounds.
2. Be dedicated. Projects can often take 6 months to a year to complete.
3. You must have a discord account and an e-mail address so that you can receive the scripts, know when the deadlines are, and be able to send in your lines.
4. You MUST be 18 years or older to audition.
If you are unfamiliar with the game or a character, we recommend watching a walkthrough of the game or playing it yourself. This is not a requirement, however.

Heya, Sorry for the lack of casting on Angus. I am wanting to cast his singing voice and then his acting one based on it. I am currently waiting on a retake once I have it I will be making my choice.
Thank you for waiting!
Heya everyone! I am down to the final people for most of the roles. All but Angus. I am going to extend the time frame for his auditions for a bit longer.
I will be casting the other roles by Wednesday 22nd. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for auditioning for our project. I have been listening to some of your submissions over the weekend and I know I am going to have some tough choices ahead of me. I will be casting over this week.
Thanks again for taking the time to to audition!
Mae is the protagonist, who is coming home from dropping out of college. She is energetic and agile, enjoying to climb things whenever possible. She is a self proclaimed jerk and very sarcastic. Mae did and still does struggle with anger issues that she tries to elevate with her journaling and repressing them.
I am looking for a mid to high range voice. I am hoping to have a feeling of energy, sarcasm, and sass, she likes to use humor to make light of the feelings she is having. She should sound like she cares about things but is trying to pretend she doesn't.
Ugh I should probably make sure I don't look a cave beast; you can do this people like you; people don't like you clearly; "Hi, I'm Mae! I dropped out of college earlier this week!" (trying to pep talk herself but the negative thoughts are coming in; awkward introduction practice)
Well, this is great. I mean I didn't expect a party or anything But I figured *someone* would be here. (sad and annoyed)
We uszsda b ee bess frien ds beea and I stillove u b ee (drunk and sad)
Bea has a very gloomy and cold attitude, due to her past and current life events. She answers most things with apathy, sarcasm or anger depending on her mood. She smokes to deal with stresses that she took on to take care of her family because of her sense of duty. Gave up her dreams to and is resentful of Mae for seemly "throwing hers away".
I am looking for mid to deep voice. I am wanting mostly deadpan unless emotions are high with a lot of vocal fry.
Way to go Mae. Please don't fix anything ever again. Like don't even have a pet. anything you have to maintain. (she might be annoyed but Mae's mess up is also making her laugh on the inside. sarcasm is being used to cover a smile.)
I don't know. I honestly don't. My entire life feels like running after something that keeps moving away into the distance, while I stay in the same place... and I guess proximity counts for a lot right now. (annoyed and depressed)
Goddammit Mae! My mother is dead. How do you not know this? Did you forget my dead mom? (Anger is the underlying emotion, but she is more coming off as annoyed and exasperated because Mae is drunk)
Gregg is bouncy, exuberant, and rebellious person with punk-like character. Although he is loud and presenting optimistic front, he is deeply worried abut hurting his friends and Partner Angus with his immaturity and bipolar struggles.
I am looking for a mid to high pitch voice with lots of energy. There should be a carefree and a bit unhinged nature to the way he speaks most of the time. You will need to be able to hit with worry and guilt when things get serious though.
I was thinking about how they have beaches in bright harbor, and then I was thinking about the ocean, and then I put cups on my ears, and it sounds like the ocean.
If anyone’s gonna ruin your night, Mae, it really should be you, Mae. (Agreeing with Mae, not meant to be mean)
I'm... I'm a good person right? ...I don't want to screw this up... Sometimes, when I am awake alone, I just stare at the ceiling, and start thinking about how I a complete piece of shit (Letting Mae in to see the doubt and negative thoughts under the happy silly mask.)
The calm thoughtful and tech savly member of the 4, Angus is Greg's boyfriend. He doesn't have much of a relationship with Mae, but he is supportive of the friendship that Gregg has with her.
I am looking for a deep rich voice with a slow pace and clear articulation. If you can sing please also audition for his singing voice. It will boost my consideration for this character, though it is not required.
It's Mae.
I'm not really, but parties with Gregg are different. You know how you want to just go and stand in a corner sometimes? Gregg's my corner.
God never did. I was completely alone in the pantry, but a few years later, Gregg did. So like, the stars can stay up there and not give a shit about us, but this whale is pretty cool.
This will be for Angus singing voice for the 3 songs the band preforms during the game. I am looking for a deep rich voice with a slow pace and clear articulation. I am will to have a baritone as well. If you can act please also audition for his acting voice. It will boost my consideration for this character, though it is not required.

This is a video of someone playing them all perfectly the audition can be acapella but I would like hear the chorus* of each song. *"Pumpkin Head Guy" doesn't really have a chorus so please do the end of the song after the bass solo.

Chorus for "Die Anywhere Else"
Chorus for "Weird Autumn"
"Pumpkin Head Guy"
Stan, Mae's dad, is a hard-working father who wants to provide his wife and daughter with a great life. he is a bit depressed about the situation that life is currently stuck his family in. He is supportive, but a bit apathetic in his own interests unless it comes to dad jokes. He loves the opportunity to annoy his wife and daughter with dad jokes.
I am looking mid to deep vocal range. He is laid back with a slower pace, I feel like he would not make much effort to annunciate unless it involves a dad joke. He should sound tired but making an effort to be positive for his loved ones.
AAAGH! Mae! You gave me a heart attack! What are you doing---(Startled into a realization of his mess up)
Look who's home.; Excuse me, we made tacos.; The family that tacos together rockos together (The second one is teasing to the wife, and a dad joke.)
Yeah, seems like that's going around. The urgh. So... Uh... You and mom had a bit of a fight yesterday, huh. (dad joke into an awkward serious tone)
Candy, Mae's mom, is a kind and a hard-working. She and Mae bond over there shared interests. Her and Mae's relationship gets strained though out the game. As Candy's worry and concern for her daughter doesn't get alleviated. the more Mae can't explain the more Candy feels like she is being used and having Mae pull away.
I am looking for a mid range voice. She should be sweet with a tired or stressed undertone. I am looking for a feeling like a southern mom, but little to no accent.
Eels honey, eels. (playful and silly)
"Where you should be?" What does that even mean?; Any idea when you might want to do that? (Candy's worry is causing her to get frustrated with Mae for her choices and lack of seemly any accountability for her actions)
It's been... I just... I... You're an adult and you can do whatever you want. But you do live here and you are, still, my baby. Can you please stay in town, today? Close? (Worried and loving))
