"Chronically unlucky and unable to sing due to a hardware bug, idol-fanatic-turned-paparazzi Hatsune Miku V4X 4N01 only interacts with her fellow Miku units through a camera lens. But after she and her equipment go over a bridge one day, she finds herself face-to-face with the dream she'd left behind: to be a top idol, standing on the glittering stage of Magical Mirai."

Hello, and welcome to the casting call for the NEXT!!! Sound of the Future comic dub!
~
NEXT!!! Sound of the Future is a webcomic published by ricedeity based on the concept of Vocaloids existing in the real world as android idols. It was originally published on webtoon, but now has its own website. You can read the entire comic for free here!: https://nsotf.com/

I reached out to the creator for permission to adapt this webcomic into a comic dub released on YouTube, and they gladly gave it to me! As a huge Vocaloid and idol fan myself, this comic is extremely near and dear to my heart, and I believe it is deserving of a well produced dub. So, that's the purpose of this casting call! I am looking for talented video editors and voice actors to bring this comic to life!

A few notes about what I'm looking for in this casting call!
You must be 16+ to apply!
Each line in your audition must be said at least twice. The format is up to you!
This is a freelance project made to entertain, and as such is unpaid.
While I do not expect professional-quality recordings from every auditionee, I do expect clear mic quality and no background noise.
This casting call will end tentatively on February 7, with a chance to be extended past that date depending on how many auditions I receive. This project will not cast early.
I have a zero AI policy in any way, shape, or form.
Although these characters are meant to be androids/Vocaloids, I am not looking for a robotic interpretation of these voices, or an impression of the real life vocal synths! I am seeking for voice actors to interpret these characters as exactly that: unique characters with unique voices specific to them. Even though they're robots, treat voicing them as you would a human character.
There are many, many characters featured in this webcomic, and I may double-cast some roles. However, the roles are organized by importance in the narrative: Main Characters (characters who are prominent in the narrative and appear in most of the chapters), Supporting Characters (characters who have a lot of lines and are important to the narrative, but don't appear often), and Minor Characters (characters who only make a couple appearances in the comic). If you are cast as a main character, you will likely not be given any other role, but if you're cast as a supporting character, you may be casted as a minor character as well. Or, you may be cast as three minor characters. It's all to balance the workload. Additionally, this comic is still ongoing, so there is a chance for a minor character to graduate into a supporting character, or a supporting character into a main one.
As the comic is still ongoing, there may be new characters introduced that need voices, and if that happens, there will be another wave of auditions.
