Hatsune Miku V4X 4N01, codename Shine, is the protagonist of NSOTF. She is eighteen years old, and works as celebrity paparazzi (but, is now trying to become an idol herself). Shine's character can be perfectly summed up as a "girlfailure".

Her voice is extremely peppy and full of life and boundless energy. Medium-high pitch. Shine very much has the vibe of a stereotypical "genki idol anime protagonist". She's prone to loud exclamations and dramatics. Her voice actor must be able to show a wide range of emotions, and be able to be the heart of this story. Shine is absolutely a flawed character, but she is someone we as an audience want to root for.

At the end of the day, isn't "changing yourself" pretty much impossible~? So that's why I'm perfectly happy with watching idols from afar~”
