My Own Sweet Dionaea VN - VA Recruitment
Project Overview
Hello everyone! I'm looking for 2 masc voices and 1 fem voice for our VN we're creating for Spooktober 7th Annual Visual Novel Jam and Erohorror jams. However, we'd like to add VA for Erohorror jam, not Spooktober necessarily. This VN we'd make would be free and short (about 10k words).
Pitch: you're a botany scientist preparing yourself for the upcoming exhibition where you'll showcase your latest experiment and fruit of your research: your own dionaea species. As one of the top investigators in your field, you feel the pressure of competition slowly crushing you and to make matters worse Walter, your husband, is anything but comforting. Regular fights are normal between you, but since the last time you "reconciled" the gap separating you seems to be growing. To top it off, you're starting to feel Dionaea's whispers on your neck and eerily beautiful eyes staring at you. An illusion, surely, because you didn't accidentally drop undefined DNA into the specimen's mix, obviously. As a sci-fi/psychological/body horror VN with romantic elements you will caretake the carnivorous plant and maybe fall under its "love" spell. The more you love it the more you despise Walter. The more you embrace the plant, the less of your humanity remains. Is this your rediscovery of happiness or a deathwish?
Content warnings (currently): minimal swearing, animal death, murder, gore, mental deterioration, adultery, suggestiveness, toxic relationships, cannibalism, ideological (ecological) extremism.
Requirements:
Be 18+ as Erohorro Jam requires it and though the project is currently SFW after Spooktober ends the line may blur.
You must be able to deliver your lines in 1-2 weeks and be available for any retakes that may be needed
Know that this is unpaid as default. We may win a prize for Erohorror jam but the split between the whole team would leave us with about 10-15$ USD each.
If you’re interested in volunteering you can DM @thesloth777 through Discord with your audition samples or, ideally, submit on Casting Call Club. Just know most of communication is through Discord on the project server or my DMs there.
About accents, do let me know which you can do or show me your different takes as I'll try to get all VAs having the same one.

Saoirse Bryd (renamable): She’s a botany scientist who is also a vegan. We meet her during her last creation, her own dionaea species. While she works at it we get her on-and-off relationship with Walter, a scientist who’s creating beautiful hortensias. Saoirse is dejected in regards to her relaationship with Walter and though she misses him at the same time is getting in a strange relationship with her Dionaea?

'Sweet' Dionaea: Saoirse’s experiment. It grows stronger quickly as days pass. It is strange, because it seems to be sympathizing with Saoirse, and later on, she can hear it whisper things to her. One day, however, she finds Dionaea hid a beautiful being underneath its leaves.

Walter McLean: Saoirse is his wife, but he feels their relationship has been strained. They work together when they’re on good terms, and in separate labs when they’re not. So, when he’s not getting along with Saoirse he’s “getting along” with “the other woman”. He still cares for Saoirse, though.
