Project Overview

All original characters and concepts created specifically for My Little Pony: Next Generation belong to the creator of this project.]
Requirement: Please have Discord, as we have a dedicated server where the entire team can communicate, receive updates, share progress, and stay up to date with the project.
This is basically a fan made continuation of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that takes place after G4! Everything mentioned below is still a work in progress, so changes are going to occur, especially with the characters.
The idea is to continue MLP in the same style and world as G4, just a few years later with a whole new generation of characters. So the art style, characters, locations, and overall feeling are still meant to feel like Friendship is Magic rather than being a completely different generation.
The story follows a new set of ponies, including the children of familiar G4 characters, as they grow up, form friendships, deal with family problems, fight enemies, discover their talents, and create their own place in Equestria. Our new Mane group consists of Chili Cheesecake, Delphinus Comet, Demonia, Opalite, and Luster Dawn. There's also a LOT more characters outside of them, like Flurry Heart and Pound Cake's daughters, Stella and Bella Cannoli, returning G4 characters, and a bunch more!
Some parts of the story will be silly and lighthearted like G4, while other parts can get more emotional and deal with things like family problems, sibling relationships, jealousy, confidence, identity, growing up, etc.
I've actually been designing and changing these characters since around 2020–2021, and I'm still working on them and their stories today!
Please keep in mind that this is a long-term fan project, so we're looking for people who are interested in sticking with the project and their role for a while. We completely understand that life happens, so if you ever need extra time, need to take a break, or can no longer continue with the project, just communicate!
Casting Note: I may begin selecting people for roles before the official deadline, so don't feel like you have to wait until the last minute to audition! As long as a character role is still open, you're welcome to audition for it.
For roles where I'm looking for multiple people, such as artists, animators, writers, etc., applicants may be shortlisted instead of immediately selected. This allows me to consider and eventually choose multiple people for the same role.
More characters and roles will also be added as the project develops, so make sure to stay on the lookout for future casting opportunities!
For voice actors: Please have a decent quality microphone and submit clean audio with as little background noise, echo, or distortion as possible.

Applejack is one of the original Mane 6 and the Element of Honesty. She's hardworking, dependable, honest, and deeply devoted to her family and friends.
We're looking for someone who can closely replicate Applejack's original G4 voice, including her Southern accent, tone, mannerisms, and emotional range.

Bella Cannoli is the alicorn daughter of Flurry Heart and Pound Cake, the sister of Stella Cannoli, and the best friend of Lucente (Lulu). Like her mother, Bella was born with an alicorn mutation that caused her to have an unusually large horn and wings. She never fully grows into them, leaving them slightly larger than average even as she gets older. Bella takes great pride in this and believes she's destined to follow in Flurry's hoofsteps as a princess.
Bella is confident, prideful, playful, and loves attention. She can also be sarcastic and mean toward ponies she doesn't get along with, especially Stella, who she frequently teases and looks down on for being a unicorn. Around her mother, however, Bella knows how to act innocent and make her behavior seem like harmless sibling teasing.
Despite this, Bella isn't heartless. She's extremely loving toward the ponies closest to her, especially her parents and Lulu, who is one of the few ponies Bella allows to see her vulnerable side.
For her voice, we're looking for a youthful, feminine voice with a sweet but slightly smug quality. The VA should be able to switch naturally between innocent and affectionate, sarcastic and condescending, and genuinely emotional.

Cheese Sandwich is an energetic party planner known for traveling across Equestria and throwing elaborate celebrations. He's goofy, cheerful, creative, and loves making other ponies laugh. In this series, he and Pinkie Pie are together and are the parents of Chili Cheesecake and Lil' Cheese.

Chili Cheesecake is the daughter of Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich and the sibling of Lil' Cheese. She's an earth pony with a talent for creating unusual food combinations that somehow manage to work.
Chili is outgoing, playful, open-minded, carefree, and extremely difficult to embarrass. She loves trying things other ponies consider weird and encourages others to embrace their unusual interests without worrying about what everypony else thinks. She's also impulsive and rarely plans ahead, preferring to make decisions in the moment and figure things out as she goes.
For her voice, we're looking for a youthful, energetic, and playful voice that fits her carefree personality. She should sound naturally confident and expressive without simply sounding like Pinkie Pie.

Delphinus Comet (Del) is the daughter of Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry, and one of Twilight's students alongside Luster Dawn. She's intelligent, ambitious, competitive, and genuinely kind, although she can sometimes have trouble understanding social cues and knowing how others are feeling.
Del has inherited some of Twilight's temper and can become easily frustrated when things don't go according to plan, especially when her competitive side comes out. She also has a habit of putting herself before others, but usually with good intentions, often taking things upon herself because she believes it'll make things easier for everypony else.
Despite her flaws, Del genuinely cares about the ponies around her and wants to help them. She and Luster are close friends, although Del's competitive nature means the two definitely have their moments.
For her voice, we're looking for a youthful feminine voice that is intelligent, expressive, and energetic. She should be able to switch between friendly and composed to frustrated, competitive, or slightly awkward.

Demonia is the draconequus/pony hybrid daughter of Fluttershy and Discord. She's soft-spoken, laid-back, easygoing, and usually prefers staying out of the spotlight. She has an unusual sense of what's considered normal from growing up around Discord and has also picked up some of Tree Hugger's relaxed, free-spirited attitude.
Demonia has a strong interest in potion-making and enjoys experimenting with unusual magical effects. She's usually calm even when her chaos magic causes problems and can be surprisingly sarcastic, but quickly becomes anxious when a situation actually becomes dangerous or somepony could get hurt.
For her voice, we're looking for a soft, relaxed feminine voice with some inspiration from Fluttershy and Tree Hugger. She should sound naturally calm and slightly spaced-out while still being able to show dry sarcasm, nervousness, and panic.

Lucente, also known as Lulu, is Bella Cannoli's best friend. She's an aspiring singer who dreams of becoming a famous performer and takes heavy inspiration from Countess Coloratura.
Lulu is expressive, social, energetic, and loves attention, although criticism can get to her easily. She's extremely loyal to Bella, even when Bella is clearly in the wrong, and sometimes joins her in teasing Stella. Despite her confidence, Lulu often gets nervous and begins doubting herself right before performing.
For her voice, we're looking for a youthful, feminine, and energetic voice similar to Starfire from Teen Titans, although we're open to other interpretations that fit her personality. Singing ability is preferred.

Luster Dawn is one of Twilight Sparkle's students, alongside Twilight's daughter, Delphinus. Originally focused heavily on her studies and unsure of the importance of friendship, Luster has grown significantly since her younger years and now understands the value of forming meaningful connections with others.
Luster is intelligent, studious, curious, and somewhat hardworking. She and Delphinus have developed a close friendship while studying under Twilight, although the two occasionally have their moments and don't always see eye to eye.
For her voice, we're looking for someone who can closely replicate Luster Dawn's original voice from MLP G4. The voice should be as accurate to her canon voice as possible while still allowing for natural emotion and delivery.

Opalite is the daughter of Rarity and Fancy Pants. She's a charismatic, sociable, and refined unicorn who grew up surrounded by fashion and Canterlot society. While she appreciates fashion, her true passion is designing jewelry and accessories.
Unlike Rarity, Opalite isn't very dramatic. She's more relaxed and naturally confident, although she can become extremely detail oriented and perfectionistic when it comes to her creations. She appreciates beautiful and luxurious things, but values creativity and craftsmanship much more than how expensive something is.
For her voice, we're looking for a feminine, elegant, and confident voice with a slightly sophisticated sound. She should feel polished and well spoken without sounding overly theatrical or snobby. Her voice should also be able to become more casual and playful around her friends.

Flurry Heart is the daughter of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, the wife of Pound Cake, and the mother of Bella Cannoli and Stella Cannoli. Now an adult, she takes her role as a princess of the Crystal Empire very seriously.
She is caring, responsible, optimistic, and patient, and she always tries to see the best in others. Despite being a loving mother, her royal responsibilities can sometimes leave her unaware of problems happening right in front of her, especially the growing tension between her daughters.
For her voice, we're looking for a youthful adult voice that is warm, bright, and expressive. She should sound responsible and confident when acting as a princess, but less mature and formal than Cadance, especially when she's around her family.

Stella Cannoli is the unicorn daughter of Flurry Heart and Pound Cake and the sister of Bella Cannoli. Unlike her mother and sister, Stella was born without their alicorn mutation, which has caused her to struggle with feeling less special than Bella.
Stella is sweet, introverted, sensitive, and reserved. She struggles with her confidence and tends to overthink how other ponies feel about her, but becomes much more outgoing once she's comfortable. She loves cooking and showing affection through food, with her special talent being hospitality and making others feel cared for.
For her voice, we're looking for a somewhat monotone, soft, and slightly high-pitched voice similar to Misery from Ruby Gloom. She should still be able to show Stella's more emotional, frustrated, and excited moments without losing her naturally reserved sound.

We need a co-director to help oversee the project, work with the different teams, review scripts, art, storyboards, and animation, and help keep everything consistent with the vision of the series. You should be familiar with MLP G4 and its lore, have good communication skills, and be comfortable giving constructive feedback. Previous directing experience is welcome, but not required!

We need storyboard artists who can create clear and expressive storyboards while staying true to the MLP G4 style, characters, and overall feel. We need writers who can help develop episode ideas, write scripts and dialogue, expand characters and lore, and proofread/revise scripts. You should also be familiar with MLP and its lore.
