Project Overview

HI and Welcome to the Fan dub casting call for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes! Vigilantes is a spin off of the much praised and beloved "My Hero Academia". Taking place shortly before the series started. It follows Koichi Haimawari as he is cast into the world of unlicensed Heroics. Fighting on The Side Of The Law While also Evading It with His Mentor Knuckle Duster and Fellow Vigilante Pop Step.


Our series will be posted to YouTube. It will be a nonprofit series. We will attempt to cover as much of the manga as we can. The Chapter count is Currently at 17 and counting. With New Chapters being released Monthly!

All Lines and Characters listed are from Chapter 1 of the viz release of the manga! Character descriptions come from the Wiki of My Hero Academia. If you have Any questions about the characters. You can comment or ask them on your auditions below. I Will attempt to respond to all Auditions with insight on how to improve and get the most out of your voice for the character!

Requirements:
-Must be ok with Mature Subjects matter. The Series contains strong Language, Alcohol, Drug, and Tobacco use, and Some Sexual Themes.
-Must be 14 or older for the reasons listed above.
-Must have Good Mic Quality with no background noise.
-Must Be Able to Emote and must be okay with yelling.

  • Everyone did Wonderful!

    Man everyone's auditions were wonderful and it was hard to choose which one fit the characters best! But I think I found the most fit roles for our series. However, this is just for chapter one of the fandub. There are many more chapters in the series that will need talented voice actors! Koichi has a simple personality and rather shy, he sees no problem in using his Quirk in public even though he is not a pro hero. That is what brings him to start doing good deeds for the public such, as returning dropped items, giving directions, helping people get onto trains, being a cameraman, and recycling. He has a very heroic nature and cannot ignore people that need help.

He tends to be a rather calm person, reacting to many situations in an appropriate manner. He is reasonable and is open to discussion with thugs and petty criminals, as seen with his interactions with the Three Storm and Stress Brothers. At the same time, he is quick to help when there is a real need for his abilities against Villains, showing that he can be attentive as well as calm.

He dreams of being able to become a recognized hero and is shown to enjoy the vigilante work that he does. He is willing to do the less glamorous jobs, such as cleaning up trash and does not seem to think that these are negative aspects of being a hero or vigilante. He refuses to give up doing it for the reason that it seems uncool because he claims that that's not the sort of person he is, showing that he does not seem to want to be a Hero for fame or money, but out of a genuine desire to help society and other people.

  • (Heroic/Determined) It's... It's not a lame Hoodie. And I'm not "know-his-place-guy". I'm the guy who cant pass by a person in need. Mr.Nice Guy!

Pop Step is a very smart and intellectual person; as she acts as the brains of the vigilantes. She has a habit of berating both Koichi and Knuckleduster when either of them act up in a way that she disapproves of. she also constantly denies having any involvement with them to the police, even though she clearly does.

Koichi notes that she has difficulty apologizing, likening her to a child. She appears to act like a more moderate Tsundere, mocking and insulting her allies despite clearly caring for Koichi. Despite this, she will still mock him for his attitudes and resignation to his situation, which she feel guilt for. Otherwise, particularly with Knuckleduster, she can be confrontational, and somewhat aggressive and territorial towards him. As an Idol, she appears to love singing and performing, despite not being particularly skilled or talented in either. She does her performances with lots of enthusiasm, and seems to take pride in her appearance when she performs. This vanity seems to extend to her looks at all times, including when she is not dressed up. She once told Koichi that if he called her civilian attire plain, she would kill him.

  • (Announcing/Peppy) Hey Everyone! Thanks For Showing Up Today! (Singing *It doesn't have to be good*) Pop ★ Step! Hipping and Hopping Just For You! HEY! HEY! 

  • *pause Between Each line* (Shocked) Whoa! I'm Not "Playing" At Anything! I'm The Real Deal! 
    (Angry) You'll Just Have To Keep An Eye Out For the Police! Also, I'll Need You To Usher In My Fans, Set Up The Venues AND Sell Some Merchandise! 
    (Sweet) I Know You Can Do it, Knows-His Place-Guy. 
    (Angry) Hmph! I Went To All This Trouble To Express Some Gratitude... So I Didn't Think It'd Be Such A Big Deal,  Asking A "Nice" Guy Like You To Do A Little Work!

Soga has a cruel and violent personality, he likes to humiliate and attack people. This stems from the fact that he has been discriminated against due to his actions and his Quirk. He seems to think that everyone around him sees him as some sort of monster, and has developed a love of making other people suffer in place of him due to these circumstances.

He shows some signs of mental instability, as shown when he sees everyone around him with a mocking, condescending smile, and laughing at him, no matter who they are and what they are actually doing, suggesting he is unable to separate reality from his perception of the world. It is suggested that this perception of the world is what makes him so violent.

In spite of these flaws, he shows solidarity with his friends, who are other people who have been looked down on due to their Quirks. He shows a strong sense of loyalty and care towards them.

Rapt Tokage is an ally of Soga. His Quirk gives him the appearance of a Humanoid Lizard. He Is shown to enjoy doing bad things along with Soga. A Medium to High voice with a lizard like tone would best fit this character!

Moyuru is an ally of Soga. He is a large brutish character with a single flame at the top of his head. He is Shown to enjoy doing bad things with his two friends. His Speaking is less refined then the other two of his group. A Medium Low Or deep Voice would fit this character best.
