Thor, God of Thunder
Voice Type: Male, 30s.
Voice Description: Deep, powerful voice with plenty of natural resonance; but not intimidating. Should be warm, and approachable.
Core Personality:
Not one for sitting on Thrones, Thor is a worker first that loves getting his hands dirty with manual labour and menial tasks. He takes pride in the simple things in life just as much as he boasts and prides his accomplishments as a Hunter and Warrior. While immensely powerful, Thor should feel humble enough to sit among common folk and share a laugh. His pride comes from accomplishment, not superiority.
The actor should sound like someone who genuinely enjoys the company of others.
"Well met my friend! Come join me for a drink and do do do tell me of your story- let us fill these halls with stories of our deeds!"
Secondary Tone: Boisterous CelebrationThor is jovial and always happy to bring attention to mighty deeds. He is the energy of a celebration rather than the center of attention.
"What a fine hunt! Cheers! Drinks for all- to celebrate this fine feast!"
Speech PatternConfidence and clarity
Simple language
Enjoys clever metaphors and rhymes
Amused
Treats kings and commonfolk with the same attention
Prefers direct honesty over cleverness (In direct parallel to his brother, Loki)
Reinhardt Wilhelm (Overwatch)
The warmth, enthusiasm, and larger-than-life optimism.
Less theatrical and less German.
Braum (League of Legends)
The kindness and protective nature.
Less accent-heavy and slightly more rugged.
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (as an older adult) (How To Train Your Dragon)
Love of stories and preserving history.
Samwise Gamgee (Lord of The Rings)
Appreciation for simple joys, hard work, and friendship.
❌ Angry barbarian.
❌ Constant shouting.
❌ Drunken fool.
❌ Arrogant warrior obsessed with battle.
Thor should be powerful because he is kind, not despite it.
AAABBBCCC format would be preferred, each take should be different in tone to display range. For example: One take is Jovial and happy, one take is cautious and alert, and one take is angry and threatening.

"Well what have we before us? You look like the type of person deserving of a good ale, and an even better tale!"
"As much as I hate to do so, head over to my Brother's house- Loki. Be warned though, she does try her best to get the better of your wits!"
"With a fine fishing pole like that, I would say that New Asgard is in good hands! Hyahaha!"
Loki, The God of Mischief (Male VA)
*Special Note: Loki's pronouns constantly change just like the Trickster themself. The VA will also change accordingly; being a male VA for one set of sentences and then randomly swapping to a female one as well. Both VA's will do the entire script, and swaps will be done in post.
Voice Type: Silver tongued and rhythmic, Loki carries cunning with every vowel; however it's shed of proper maliciousness and instead should be replaced with an active sense of intrigue and testing the waters.
Core Personality:
Loki is the unsung problem solver for the Norse Gods, although none would praise him as such. In a constant state of change, he is never in one place for long- and appears as one thing either. Loki is smooth sailing; calm and controlled with a delightful taste in witty banter and word jungles. Savoring every thesaurus level sentence he strings together, he is always looking for ways to surprise, trick, or play with the other Gods. However, Loki see's himself as a rather dependable person- happy to slink in the shadows and fix the problems of New Asgard without really getting much favor for it. However, just like the fire that flows on Loki's head, so too does his morals wane and change. The Gods are in a constant state of suspicion of the Trickster; never truly knowing if it's a blade in the hand or a blade in the back.
Emotional Tone
Primary Tone: Playful and Witty
Loki in his natural state loves being mysterious and making people double take. If he can't be tricking others with practicality, making people's heads spin or filled with suspicion is another one of his great treats.
"Ah, another fresh find to add to our humble ensemble of New Asgard. I am Loki- the God of... Oh well- we needn't get too introduced now. You will be enlightened in time I'm sure, my fresh faced friend."
Secondary Tone:
Disconnected, but Empathic
Loki enjoys staying in the shadows out of attention; but also wants to ensure he is knowledgeable. He's the unseen big brother that's ready to have to help out in one way or another. He takes pride in knowing he's got everyone figured out.
"Thor? Oh- what machismo and valour! You truly feel like you are--- hurdling towards a sea faring adventure at high speeds when you talk to him don't you? Oh- yet the juiciest part of the man isn't his deeds; it's the secrets and stumbles that he hides behind that big old beard of his..."
Speech Pattern
- Sly, Quick Witted
- Melodic and flowing

- Calm, collected, and refined.
- Aristocratic Cadence
- Theatrical Playfulness

Skadi, Goddess of Winter and Skiing
Voice Type: Female, Late 20s/Early 30s
Voice Description: Calculating and steadfast; deep and controlled. Skadi should be confident, but not imposing. She should give the air of a Huntress in her element.
Core Personality:
The Goddess of Winter, Skadi is a Jotunn (Ice Giant) in the setting of My Aesir Neighbour. She serves the player in teaching them how to hunt; being a vigilant woman of the mountains. She is strong, but not cold, to those that encounter her. She is determined and independent- never one to have her mind changed once she decides on something. She prides herself on the beauty of the mountains and of winter; eager to test herself and come out on top.
Emotional Tone:
Primary: Solitary Heroine
You should sound experienced and hardened by the elements, but also as a teacher and "Big Sister" type energy.
Secondary: Fiercely Competitive
Complete focus and a desire to succeed and test herself; the actor should be able to convey the sense of competitive spirit Skadi carries with her.
Speech Pattern:
- Stalwart and Confidant
- Unchanging and Fierce
- Independent
- Measures people by what skills they bring to the table
- Unforgiving and unyielding like Winter itself
- Impressed by gallantry and being one with nature
- Use metaphors and short form narrative descriptions
Reference Characters
Primary
- Aloy (Horizon Zero Dawn / Horizon Forbidden West )
- The pragmatism of a Huntress with a natural grounded weight that comes off without effort.
- Soft, yet firm authority with an outdoorswoman flair.
- Karlach (Balder's Gate 3)
- Subtracting the easily excitable attitude, still maintaining the gruff stalwart attitude of a warrior
- Husky depth, competitive drive, protective "Big Sister"
Secondary
- Freya (God of War, God of War: Ragnarok)
- Mythic weight, unyielding resolve, the mettle of a God of the wilderness
- Senua (Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice)
- Intimate focus, physical groundedness, survival-tested stamina.
Avoid
❌ Growling or downright mean-spirited
❌ Pompousness or Ego
❌ Savage Wild Woman

"The realm beckoned for someone to patch it together, and the All-Father decided you were it... A pleasure to hail you."
"Loki is a God of trickery. One should keep their mind sharp when dealing with her... or him. Whichever skin they decide to wear today."
"You have the makings of a fine Hunter. Practice twice a day, draw steady, and pay your respects to nature. Do this, and nature will provide for you."
Njord, God of Fishing and The Sea
Voice Type: Calm, Friendly, Gentle, Mannered. Njord is supposed to be the embodiment of cozy waters and the life-giving elements the ocean provides.
Core Personality:
Unlike most of the other Gods, Njord is actually rather calm and on the level. He finds the pleasures in the simple things in life; enjoying the quiet respite of the ocean and the simple breeze on the air. If Thor would love drinking and being around a tavern, Njord would enjoy sitting on a beach with a drink and good book.
He should speak calmly and kindly; a sense of wise notability filling the air whenever he speaks. He talks to others like a good friend that has known you all your life- regardless of if you're a stranger or not.
Speech Pattern:
- Swimming melody and calm cadence
- Soft undertones and lived in dialect
- Pleasantries and calming; flattery and charm
- Exemplifies the beauty of the ocean
- Loves painting the imagination of the Ocean; often drawing comparisons in everyday life to the sea.
Reference Characters
Primary References:
- Uncle Iroh (Avatar)
- A younger bit still just as wise and friendly character that has an unhurried pacing and that deep gentle warmth you would expect from a world-filled friend.
- Braum (League of Legends)
- Excluding the explosive energy of Braum that more befits Thor, the soft charm and genuine care for everything around him as well as the "Stop and smell the roses" energy.
Secondary References:
- Esbern / Greybeards (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)
- Once again, a younger version would be key for Njord; but the weathered texture and poetic weight of everything the character says to display a wisdom beyond years.
- Bob Ross (The Joy of Painting)
- A certain hypnotic calmness that drives home serenity and relaxation just from listening- there should be a sort of encouragement in everything that he says. Njord's tendencies to draw comparison to the ocean also plays a key here in Ross' appreciation of nature.
Avoid
❌ Elderly Sage
❌ Stereotypes of Hippies or "Suave Charmers"
❌ Only speaking in metaphors and comparisons
❌ Pompous or "Knowing Better"
Njord is wise because of his appreciation for the Sea and it's beauty, not because he is an old man.

"Welcome to my trading post. Please don't mind the damp beams- the salt of the ocean likes to leave its kiss on everything out here..."
"Skadi is a fierce and powerful woman, favored by the mountains and frost. Although I prefer warm sands and rolling tides, one would be foolish to call her cold. A heart beats in that chest- filled with passion and a lifetime of trial. That much, I know."
"The sea can be a violent companion, yes. But people often forget that beneath the fury of the waves... that is where the world comes to rest... Where life flourishes. The trick, dear friend, is that you aren't meant to fight every wave. Instead- you simply learn when to let the current carry you... and you'll end up right where you need to be."
Female or Male Narrator
Voice Description: Soft, storylike. The Narrator is very clear and distinct- easily understood.
The Narrator will be speaking over the events of the story as it progresses. They will provide general guidance as well as an idea as for what the player should be looking to do next. Introducing quests, informing the player of the situation going on, as well as giving flavour text out for Norse Mythology concepts.
Speech Pattern:
- Consistent tone and pacing
- Simple language
- Soft and storybook
- Detached, uninvolved
References
- Child of Light Narrator (Child of Light)
- Bedtime-story softness and perfect, unhurried and gentle pronunciation

"A mysterious vessel- Loki never remains stationary for long. To find the sly Trickster, one must search for them in one of their many different forms... somewhere here in New Asgard."
"Magic pours from the realm of Asgard, where Gods are born and raised. Even here in Midgard.... the Fish carry a touch of that ancient spark."
