Conquest is an MLP audio play which takes place 100 years after the events of the show (predating season 8 among other things). The element bearers have perished, the elements have mysteriously disappeared since. With Equestria left defenseless, a team of villains comes together to not only take over Equestira, but the world.
Everything you'll need to know is in the video above, but mostly in the google doc linked. Please read all the rules carefully, otherwise, you're audition will be rejected. We will allow you to re-audition if you would like assuming this would be the case. We will need multiple artists so if you are accepted, we will private message you. The end date is July 19th, Midnight MST (site won't let me make the deadline longer so I will keep updating it till I can set it to the 19th). No more auditions will be accepted after that time and results will be posted on YouTube within a few days as well as this page being updated accordingly. I also apologize for some of the pictures, the site is extremely infinity and would not fit the pictures no matter what I did. Full sizes with a fully view are in the doc. IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This project will contain a lot of mature content that is not suitable for the sensitive or young, please keep this in mind. There's nothing overtly sexual such as pornograpghic scenes or sex, more suggestions of sex, heavily suggestive flirting and so on, but nothing graphic. There will be graphic depictions of fighting with blood and lightish gore, sensitive themes, a lot of swearing, and there will be LGBT couples so if this goes against your beliefs or any of the other things listed are off-putting to you, do not audition. If you do, we expect you to be okay with all of this. You also must be 15 years or older to audition and 18+ for certain characters who some of this applies to including those they get into relationships with. If you are not 15 years or older or over the age of 18 for the 18+ roles and we find out, you will be kicked out immediately, your lines scrapped. Please, don't lie.
And when we say you must be 18 or older to play a role, we mean you must be the physical age of 18 to play it, not sound 18. They contain mature content not suitable for those under the age, so you must be 18, period. I wasn't sure if this was clear or not.
Rules and Important Notices
1. You must have decent mic quality. We don’t want to hear background noise or a low quality to your recording. We especially don’t want to hear peaking, popping, or audio being too quiet to hear. If you do not have a decent mic, but can clean it to sound decent enough or better that it is, let us know. Do not edit it for the audition, let us know or send a separate file with the cleaned audio. Splicing is fine.
2. Having a Discord is preferred, but we can work with you if you have Skype or access to Hangout, some easy way of contact is a must.
3. You must be active in the server and during the audition, by active we mean when we have an important meeting, we would like you to try to be there or respond when we ask if anyone’s on or any questions. If you do not respond within a given time (or excessively) or miss due dates, you will lose the role and it will be given to your understudy. If you have a reason such as a death in the family, illness, or school/work, we can talk unless school/work will be that much of a problem. Please note us if anything comes up and try to give up an advanced notice if you must drop from the project all together. Commitment is important as we will most likely ask you to voice these characters for other projects.
4. Understudies do serve an important role even if they may not always be active. Regardless, if you are, you will be assigned to the background characters or one offs/on and off/quick cameos. You are also excepted to be active.
5. If you are unprofessional in your audition, you will not be accepted.Stick to what we give you and nothing unless it's improve, we like improve. No added swearing or lines that aren’t the audition unless you want to introduce yourself or something, no bloopers as much as we love them. NOTE: This does not mean we can’t have fun once someone is selected for a role. We need to know you can be ready and professional when the time comes. Bloopers happen when the actual recording begins and is highly encouraged.
6. Don’t just say the lines. Give emotion to them, live through them! You are trying out for a character and this will be a big project! If you think you can do better, let us know. We will give you time to improve! We will take a good actor who can act on their own over someone who needs help, but if we feel your version of the voice is better than someone else’s acting or portrayal, we may choose that so don’t let ability or experience hold you back.
7. Do not alter your auditions! We want to hear the raw audio and your voice as is. No altering pitches, no filters, not auto tuning, nothing that helps add inflections if that's a thing. If we find out you have done this, you will be dropped from the project if accepted or have your audition rejected. Splicing your best lines for your audition is acceptable.
8. You may have already noticed that some of the auditions have a link to what we would like them to sound like. You do not have to replicate the voices exactly, in fact, in most, we don’t want you to so read the descriptions carefully, that's what we want to hear. Most of these aren’t canon characters and they can be interpreted any way. However, they need to be close to the pitch, tone, and/or possibly accent of the linked voices. If you want to experiment, include it as a separate part of the audition, we may end up liking it more.
9. We would like you to make three takes of each line. We want to hear the different tones of your voice, inflections, etc.

Philter’s voice is very cool, mysterious, and sensual. There is always this sense that he is dangerous, yet you can’t help but be drawn in. You want to get closer, you want to know more about this creature. He’s a vampony, dangerous and cunning, always taking what opportunity he can to be on top and is an expert flirt; the ladies can’t get enough of him and the men are either aroused or disgustedly jealous. Her height and title give her the confidence and authority in her voice. She’s very mature but has a hard time keeping her cool when pushed. He’s very sweet and wants to see the best in others, wanting to be a warm supportive figure rather than a tyrant but knows when to be stern and forceful. Thinks he’s the real charmer of the group, yet is the most cowardly. A voice that’s somewhat grating (enough that it won’t annoy), high pitched, snarky, and sniveling.

Has a voice that’s deep, doopy, and gives off the feeling of a guy who’d just follow along with just about anything, because he would.

Leader and “brains” of the gargoyles, also the most muscular. He’s medium class in his drinking, but can hold his own fairly well. He’s the heavy lifter of the group, being able to hold his own against more enemies, yet charges head first and usually focusing on one thing. Has a burly voice, tough, maybe a bit rough; doesn’t have to be deep, but not high.
