MLP Burning Axe Chronicles - Need voice actors and Artists
Project Overview
Hello, allow me to introduce myself... my name is Nathan. For almost three years now I have wanted to create an audio drama story with pictures conveying what is happening on the screen. Sadly, while I have the ability to draw using Photoshop, I tend to use bases, and it takes me a while as I'm not the greatest at it, and I use a mouse. I will do as many of the shots for this series as I can, I have a specific art style I want to maintain, so I am looking for artists who can draw to my level or better. And who are easily able to follow instructions carefully. I'll try to be as professional as I can with this. I also need a Narrator, again I am looking for a specific range, I really want the introduction of the first episode to sound as epic as possible.
Now this of course begs the question... what is Burning Axe Chronicles? Burning Axe Chronicles, or B.A.C. is the backstory of my original character "Burning Axe" He is a pony from the My Little Pony universe. His story is dark, every character's story is dark in B.A.C. Nothing too dark, just more real than the show itself. I take real life problems, such as Anxiety, PTSD and other disorders and apply them to characters to give them more personality and to make them relate-able to people. My OC Burning Axe has PTSD, not based on me, but the character does share some similarities to myself. The series will be comedic, sad, action packed and thrilling. Or at least that is the plan, assuming my writing is as decent as I hope it is.

The way both of these sound, make as excellent narration voices, and while I am a voice actor myself and have quite the range, I cannot sound that awesome. My range isn't that good.
Again, just try to match either of these, or do your own interpretation of a good Narration voice.
Many years ago, in the heart of Equestria's capital, Princess Celestia established the “E.U.P. Guard” during the anniversary of the first Celestial year of peace. One of Her Majesty's guards, Lasting Gravity, was very intrigued by magic. He beseeched the princess to mentor him. After much internal debate, the princess eventually decided to take the unicorn under her wing.
Lasting Gravity had been blinded by anger. He magically rose up from the cracked marble, with lustful rage in his eyes and a maniacal grin etched onto his face. Lasting began to laugh with a chilling and nefarious tone. Electricity danced about his body, cracking the walls and floor around him. He fired a blast of negative energy at the princess, breaking through her ethereal shield.
Lasting Gravity, like many before and after him, was defeated by the Elements of Harmony and would never again set hoof in Equestria. But even the Elements have their limits... Years passed and the elder princess lost her connection to the Elements. The lasting effects they once had on the world would now be reset as they came into the hooves of new ponies. These new elemental keepers would have to stop old threats returning... some more dangerous than others. The Princess had never considered the possibility that Lasting Gravity might return. Unlike most of her former foes, he was but a mere unicorn, with no unnaturally long life span. But his time beyond the boundaries of Equestria had given him ample opportunity to prepare new magic, magic that could allow a being to live without the need for a body... And so our story begins...

Gavina is the first of the main protagonists, minus the obvious "Burning Axe". Gavina is a Griffon who her whole life has been let down by everyone she knows. She suffers from Depression and trust issues. Homeless... Gavina travels Equestria, never staying still for too long. She is on a quest to find a magical artefact lost to time. Gavina is a master thief, cunning, charming, able to talk her way out of any situation and get exactly what she wants using her beauty as a weapon. Kindhearted on the inside, but never admits to it. Gavina is strong and has never met any creature that can beat her in battle, except for one. The voice I am looking for needs to be both strong, seductive and chilling. She is also a master at sarcasm. Play around with the voice, see what you can come up with! This character needs quite the emotional range too, so if you aren't capable of the full range of emotions for acting, then you have much less chance of getting the role.
(shouts in a curious and wary tone)

(pause)
(speaks the line normally, with a hint of Sass)
Hmph, shame... I was hoping this would be more fun.
(talks to herself with a hint of frustration in her voice)
What kind of idiot collects this trash? There's nothing here of any value! This isn't worth my time.
(Inquisitive, with a hint of seduction in her voice, as to try and convince Burning Axe to accept her proposal.)
Well if you're not too busy in life sleeping in a cold damp cave, then I could use your help, With your strength you could prove to be quite useful to me in my quest, so... what's it going to be?

Darknote's voice is up for interpretation,BUT!!! He must have a British Accent, preferably similar to my accent, you can hear how I sound in the introduction video above. I would like his voice to have a soft natural rasp. Darknote is the older brother of Burning Axe. He is 10 years older, but when Burning Axe was born, Darknote was jealous of the attention given to him by their parents. Darknote would always try to steal the attention, or pin the blame on Burning Axe for things he never did. Darknote is an antagonist of this series, but not completely by choice, for spoilery story reasons I shall not divulge, something happens to him that will change his life forever. He's not your typical bad guy either, he's just jealous, and regrets a lot of his decisions later in life, he has redeeming qualities. Darknote is a guitar player in his family, his parents and he are part of a band. Darknote gives Burning Axe his guitar sometime during his life for reasons I shall not spoil.
(standing and looking around panicking, Inferno Melody runs up to him.)
Inferno, there you are... you can't stay here, the town is looking for you, they think you did it, I tried to stop them but they won't listen to me, you have to run, now!
(feeling guilty, but the whole time he is lying to Inferno.)
I'm sorry Inferno... I couldn't do anything to convince them.
(pause)
Take this, it's my guitar, look after it for me. And this isn't much, but I gathered a few bits of food that survived the fire. go easy on them, I'm not sure how long you'll be out here.
(angry, fearful and struggling more and more with every word as he tries to resist against the evil spirit possessing his mind and body. His voice get's louder and more shakier as he speaks.)
Get out of my head...! This is my body...! I won't... let you... in! (screams in pain and defeat)

Plectrum Rose is the mother of Ignatius Darknote and Burning Axe (Formally known as "Inferno Melody") She is caring and loving as any mother should be, but has her rebel side. Being in a family band with her Husband, and his brother (Burning Axe's Uncle) And her eldest son Ignatius Darknote. She is the Rhythm Guitar player, and lead singer of their band "Household Anarchy" As a punk rock singer, she is feisty when she wants to be, a rebel by night, a mother by day. As long as she sounds British, the rest of the interpretation is up to you.
(a motherly warmth in her voice, she asks...)

(in a playful tone)

Drum Stick is British, as the father of Burning Axe (Formally Inferno Melody) He must have a close accent to mine, you can hear how I sound in the explainer video at the top of the page.
He's a punk rocker in the family band "Household Anarchy" He plays the drums (unsurprisingly) and his stage name is "Stix" He's a fair man, willing to hear out anybody, but the first stiff of trouble, which could put his family in danger... he stands his ground and will not falter no matter what. He lives to protect his family and to enjoy life to it's fullest. He likes to play the fool and joke from time to time, and shoot out your typical face palm engaging Dad jokes like they are going out of fashion, be prepared to have your head in your hands more often than not with this guy. Your interpretation of his voice is welcome, do whatever you think fits, as long as the accent is on point.
(jokingly)

(neutral at first, then in a playful tone he asks.)

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW!
Lasting Gravity! By far the most interesting character in this series, and main antagonist. You are going to need an INCREDIBLE range for this role. All emotions will need to be used. As for his possession over Darknote, the voice actor for Darknote will at times when it is needed, match the performance and lines timing and delivery of your lines as Lasting Gravity, at times both voices will be combined to create a double voice effect. This will be tricky, but if you think you can pull it off then you are very welcome to. Again, this role is VERY complex. You're going to need to be able to do a multitude of not only emotions, but voices, as the evolution of this character is from a simple unicorn, to a dark spirit, to a body possessor, to an eventual being that will be strong enough to dominate Equestria without a physical body. You'll have to pull out all the stops for this one. I would like for him to have a normal voice for the start, when he is just a mere unicorn, but after his possession I would like a voice similar to that of "Smaug" from The Hobbit. (after processing Darknote, nothing is left of the original unicorn "Lasting Gravirty" The power of his magic is in control, and that magic is now in control of Darknote. Contraception as it were... victorious in his voice, but also overwhelmed by having a new body after so long.)
Your body is mine now Darknote. You can try to fight it, but in the end you will wither and your consciousness will die, leaving me as the soul proprietor of this vessel. Oh.... and a fine vessel it is, yes... YES! With this kind of magic I will be unstoppable, but I need time... years even.
(with weakness growing evermore present in his voice, being unused to be having a body is having negative effects, but he is determined to fight it.)
This process isn't easy, It has been a millennium since I walked this land... I underestimated the strain a body after so long would cause me... I need to recover. And you Darknote... You can push me out as much as you like, but this is my body now.
(anger, disgust and disappointment all present as he is finally finished with the constant failures of his most faithful subject.)
You ungrateful perpetual thorn in my side! You've caused me nothing but pain, you're mere existence is a mockery to my presence. You are nothing more than a mistake that I should have dealt with long ago... Well... Not anymore! Perish at my hooves you Misstep!
