Mad Father English Dub - Horror Game Dubs

Project Overview

Mad Father takes place in northern Germany, where the 11-year old protagonist, Aya Drevis, lives with her father, Alfred Drevis, and their maid Maria. Aya is a shy girl who never goes outside the mansion estate, therefore acting a lot younger than her age. Her mother, Monika Drevis, was incredibly ill, and presumably died of illness before the occurrence of the game. Her father performs secret research in his laboratory in the house's basement, with the assistance of Maria. Aya is aware that Alfred experiments and kills humans in the basement, as well as the fact that he is involved in an extramarital affair with the younger Maria, a former homeless woman he had taken off the street some years prior.

On the anniversary of Monika's death, the very beginning of the game, Aya awakens at midnight to find herself surrounded by test subjects that escaped from the laboratory. Fleeing back into her room, Aya encounters the mysterious salesman Ogre, who offers her the task of solving puzzles to break into her father's laboratory and uncover his secret. Aya discovers that her father had intended to perform taxidermy on her and convert her into a doll, as he had done to numerous other children and servants that he brought to their home. Now, Aya must investigate every inch of the mansion to rescue father from her late mother.

Despite this not being a paid project, this could be changed in the future when we decide to monetize the channel or once we begin to make additional money in our personal lives.

  • Progress Update

Hello there our lovely dolls, It's officially past the deadline to submit auditions, which means that it's time for the directors to begin rejecting, shortlisting, and casting members. There is indeed a possibility of call-backs since all of you did outstanding! We will announce the cast as soon as the cast list is full. However, we wish to bring something to light before we begin casting and rejecting. If your audition gets rejected, that does not exactly mean that you did bad. Maybe the character didn't suit you, or maybe we didn't hear the character through your voice. All of you did absolutely outstanding, and we applaud you all for such wonderful submissions. Please do not be upset if you are not chosen, because you all still did wonderful regardless! And if you get casted, then congratulations in advance! Thank you all for taking interest in our project, we hope that you can subscribe to our YouTube channel to await the release of Mad Father! Hello there everyone, thank you all for taking interest in our project! It's been a dream of ours to bring this game to life with full voice acting, so we are glad that this casting call has been getting attention. As anxious as you all may be to hear about the cast, we will be waiting until the deadline to cast anyone. As a team, we all have sat down and listened to all the submissions submitted (as of May 10th, at 9:12PM/21:12pm EST). We would like to congratulate you all on a wonderful job! We loved each and every single audition so far, which is going to make it so much harder to cast. Once this update is posted, some of our staff members will be leaving comments on auditions and giving some feedback. If you know anybody who could be interested in our lovely little project, why not share the CCC link with them? The more the merrier, am I right? ;) If you'd like to get in contact with any of us, please message us here on CastingCall. "Aya is a little girl who lives in northern Germany. Since her mother's passed away, she's felt lonely living with just her father and his assistant Maria. What's more, she knows her father's secret..." -Mad Father Game Description

Aya Drevis is the main protagonist and playable character of the game. She is the only daughter of Alfred Drevis and Monika Drevis who lives with in a large mansion that makes up the setting for the majority of the game. Aya is a beautiful pale-skinned little girl with long black hair that has square bangs hanging over her forehead with a large pink ribbon tied in the back and light blue eyes. In the game, she is seen wearing a white apron over a dark blue dress that has puffed sleeves, white cuffs, white socks, black Mary Jane shoes and a gold pendant around her neck. Aya is a compassionate and kindhearted little girl who truly loves her family and she values even things that previously belonged to one of her relatives, such as Monika Drevis' (Aya's mother) perfume. In fact, her love and protectiveness for her family is one of the most powerful driving forces in the game; this is what primarily aided her in persevering throughout the whole journey to save her father, despite witnessing numerous things that would usually drive even an adult to insanity. She is also level-headed and bright, being able to solve tricky puzzles and efficiently wield a chainsaw at a tender age. Despite knowing what is going on in her father's basement, she chooses to feign ignorance, as she believes her father is a good person. The case goes the same for her mother when she plots her revenge; Aya does not believe her mother is deranged and is willing to save her from her suffering. Although she is definitely more mentally capable than an average person, she is still a child at heart who urgently hopes that her love will reach through to her parents and hinder the madness in the Drevis mansion, despite how far gone both Monika and Alfred Drevis (Aya's father) are. Aya also doesn't limit her compassion merely to her family. When she encountered tormented spirits, she would occasionally help them, namely when she cooked ham for a hungry, little boy. She even extends it to Maria, whom Aya initially despised, as she felt that the maid was stealing her father from her and trying to take her mother's place. However, after having read her diary, she begins to understand her better. When Maria is betrayed and injured by Alfred, Aya patches her wounds up and reveals that, although she cannot live without her father's love, she would leave the mansion if she had to, but she also cannot live on her own. Aya then offers Maria to come with her, and from there, the two form a bond.

Her voice would be high to medium pitched, with either an American or slight British accent. She asks a lot of questions and can be very shy and softspoken, which is reflected throughout the game.

    Sorry, father…

    But… I…

    (yelling)

    I DON’T WANT TO BE A DOLL!!

  • (narrating)

    "I know father’s secret.

    My father is a scientist.

He loves research and is always locked up in the lab in the basement.

And I’ve always heard things from that lab…

    Animal and human screams…

Even at a young age, I knew what my father was doing.

    So I pretended I wasn’t looking.

That I didn’t know or hear anything.

I feigned ignorance the whole time.

    Because I loved father.

That’s not the only secret I know.

When mom and I weren’t around, he and his helper…"

  • (talking to herself)

Maria said she’s planning to throw this dress out because it’s too raggedy.

Feels like a waste to me…

    (content)

    Aah, I remember this book…

There’s a girl who has the mysterious power to control fire…

And she goes on a journey to find the family she’s been separated from.

Proclaiming “Burn all those in my way!”, she did exactly that to all her foes.

    (sad)

But I think in the end, her power got out of control and destroyed the world…

So she never met her family in the end. She was all alone.

    A poor girl all alone…

If I lose father, I’ll be all alone too…

    I don’t want it…

"Aya, matured into a grown woman. Runs a clinic with Maria out in the mountains." - Mad Father Game Description.

Aya Drevis is the main protagonist and playable character of the game. She is the only daughter of Alfred Drevis and Monika Drevis who lives with in a large mansion that makes up the setting for the majority of the game. In the true ending, she is now an adult who has chin-length short hair and she no longer wears a ribbon. She wears a white apron over a light blue dress. In the True Ending, her true nature is revealed as she continued her father's occupation of making dolls (though she opts for patients with terminal illnesses and uses sedatives so they wouldn't feel any pain, unlike her father). However, the remake heavily implies that this is simply her way of keeping her promise to her mother; that she would "always support [her] father," as opposed to simply her devolving into madness.

Her voice would be mid-ranged to deep, being very calm and relaxed. She doesn't show much emotion at all, which is reflected in the game.

  • (happy)

Snowball! To think I’d get to meet you again!

    Sleeping, huh…

It’s been so lonely without you…

I guess the fact you’re here must mean this is the afterlife, right?

Or is there a curse at work, like there was back then?

    (a bit on edge)

The room feels cold all of a sudden…

    Just like that night.

The night my fate forever changed…

  • (understanding, calm)

I understand now why you wanted to turn me into a doll, father.

    Because living is so painful…

    But you can’t stop me.

What happened that day is burned into my mind…

I couldn’t forget it even if I wanted to.

That must be the curse of the Drevis family.

  • (reassuring)

As much as we resist, I doubt we can escape.

    But I’m fine with that.

Whatever awaits us in the future, I’m ready to accept all of it.

Hey, Maria? Even being as I am… Will you stay with me?

Alfred Drevis is a scientist who is always staying in the basement. He is also the husband of Monika Drevis, and the father of Aya Drevis. For a majority of the game, he is the victim, though in the 'good' endings, he turns out to be the true main antagonist. During most of the game, he is only seen in flashbacks. But a bit further in the game, you can see Monika dragging Alfred in the laboratory. Alfred has somewhat messy short brown hair. He is always seen wearing a lab coat and glasses. In a flashback (which is shown from reading Maria's diary), he's shown to wear a black suit with a white dress shirt, and green tie. His eyes aren't shown until the good end of the game, which is a bright brown. His glasses are also cracked in the end, which is also contrary to what he looked like in the start. In all of the dialogue, the top portion of his face is veiled ominously by a shadow, reinforcing the notion that his intentions aren't pure.

  • (exhausted)

    Whew… What a troublesome rabbit.

    (scolding)

Aya, try not to let Snowball out of your sight, will you? The rabbit made a mess of the kitchen.

  • (yelling)

    Exactly! She’s a wondrous daughter!

I want to make her eternally so!

(a bit softer and getting more angry)

And yet, she… will someday be dirtied…

    (angry, yelling again)

That, I cannot bear to think!!

So I will make her into a doll!

  • (completely insane)

    AYAAAAA! No running awaaAAY!!

    Aya…

Don’t worry. Father and Aya will always be together now.

    So rest in peace…

"Aya's mother. Passed away from illness a year ago." - Mad Father Game Description.

Monika Drevis was the wife of Alfred Drevis and the mother of Aya Drevis. During most of the game, she is the false main antagonist as she has taken Alfred. Until the end of the game, she is mainly viewed in flashbacks and a few cutscenes. At the end of the game, Monika is found in the darkness having bested Maria, and in the process of taking Alfred with her to the afterlife. It is revealed that the reason she cursed him was because she wanted to protect Aya from her husband since he wants to turn her into a doll just to save her from being 'tainted' and preserve her innocence. Monika was a beautiful young woman with long light brown hair that has bangs on both sides and blue eyes. Throughout the game, she only seen wearing one outfit; a rather regal blue dress with white fabric to accentuate (make more noticeable or prominent) her chest. As a ghost, there is some blood covering her chest, yet, barely any blood anywhere else; possibly from the stab wound caused by Alfred Drevis, which results in her death. Monika was a kindhearted and forgiving woman who had a tendency to overlook the mistakes of others, easily forgetting them where she overlooked the bad aspects of the ones she loved as she tried to only see the good and she is mostly seen in flashbacks taking care of Aya Drevis. However, after she was killed, her kind heart was transformed into a vengeful spirit hellbent on having her revenge, causing her to raise all of the tormented victims that Alfred Drevis had killed; this also allowed these spirits to enact their revenge. She was extremely hurt and betrayed upon discovering that the love of her life was having an affair with Maria (the family maid). She never confronted him about it, probably afraid of what her husband would do, especially as he had once deliberately tried to kill her when they first met. Despite the betrayal and the horrible murders Alfred committed in the basement, she never stopped loving him. However, her love was never truly reciprocated by Alfred and they last straw of their relationship was when she overheard Alfred's plan to turn Aya into a doll; having suspected Aya would eventually turn out like he had, Alfred hoped to prevent his daughter from being "tainted" as he was. Disgusted and distraught, Monika overcame her silent and forgiving attitude towards Alfred and threatened her husband that she would leave with their only daughter. It unfortunately led to her premature death at Alfred's hands, but even in death, she still loved him. She took an apparent dislike of the maid for having an affair with her husband that she continually distanced herself from Maria, even though she never made a direct confrontation of the matter. Strangely, despite having the chance to kill the maid with her newfound powers, she never did and this has stayed a mystery for months, probably even years. In the events of the game, she took the appearance of an obsessed spirit trying to drag her husband to the grave to be with her forever, to keep Aya from knowing Alfred's true intentions. In reality, as Monika had once attempted to do in life, she intended to save Aya from her father's plan to convert the girl into a doll. Depending on what the ending the player chose, she managed to reveal her true intentions to Aya with the last of her strength. As a precautionary measure, she instructed some spirits to protect Aya and to hinder her journey.  There's an odd characteristic of Monika in notes scattered in the game in the second playthrough, which suggests that she isn't as innocent and benevolent as she seems. In one of the notes, she tried to give Aya rabbits to observe if their only daughter is truly becoming her father, much to her delight. In a more subtle note, before she died, she would always read dark themed books to Aya before going to sleep. Even Ogre noticed that the bookshelf in Aya's room is filled with "interesting" books. It is also possible that Monika was the one who gave Aya the chainsaw, as it was in a place that was out of Aya's reach and that meant Monika could reach it. The reason that she's testing her only daughter to see if she's like her father is because the madness in Alfred thrills her. This can be seen in the letter she sends Alfred after they first met; the letter states that he had intended to kill her, and Monika's "heart was pounding" in reaction, but out of "love" rather than terror. Monika's coughing fits might be a direct consequence of this event, especially if Alfred had tried to either stab her close to her throat or lungs, or choke her to death. In light of these revelations about her relationships with Alfred and Aya, it may be possible that the true reason Monika was trying to save her daughter from her husband's experiments was to make certain that, if Aya had inherited her father's sociopathic penchant for killing as the couple suspected, these tendencies would continue to live on through their daughter. What Alfred viewed as the sullying of Aya's innocence, Monika likely saw as the perpetuation of what she loved about her husband.

Her voice should be medium to low ranged and is very calm, smooth and graceful.

"Father's assistant. A freeloader at the Drevis mansion." - Mad Father Game Description

Maria is the assistant and the lover of Alfred Drevis, who is currently living with the Drevis family in their mansion. She is a critical story character and one of the deciding factors for the ending achieved. Maria is a young woman with shoulder-length dark brown hair that is tied in two braids, light green eyes and red lipstick. She wears a green and white nurse's uniform with a pink choker. When she was a teenager, her hair was down and she wore a white sleeveless dress, with collar V-shaped.  As seen in the flashbacks and in the game, Maria is a kindhearted and loyal woman to Alfred Drevis, Monika Drevis and Aya Drevis (Alfred's family). Maria's loyalty to those who show her kindness and continue to show her kindness knows no bounds as an example of that is when the player chooses to go with mother's wish, Maria kills Aya and makes her into a doll to "take over the duty" out of devotion. However, once Maria is betrayed, she loses her loyalty. When Alfred struck her with his chainsaw and if the player chooses to treat her injury, then her loyalty shifts to Aya. That happens because Aya shows her the compassion she lost from the doctor. Although, it doesn't seem as if she cares that she's hurting Alfred's wife when the affair is happening. Then again it could be her blind devotion to him that clouds her judgement.

Her voice should be somewhere in between mid to a deep range. She is very monotoned, and I can also hear her with maybe a slight accent, but that is optional for auditioning. Very calm, respectful and polite.

Robin, also known as the "Blonde Boy" (金髪の少年 Kinpatsu no Shonen), is a seemingly undead boy that Aya encounters in the mansion. His intentions seem to be good when she first meets him offering to help her by showing her the way, but Aya is shocked when she realizes half his face has been horribly burned and runs away, terrified. Later on, after she was almost choked by a subject, Aya faints and Robin takes her out of the room. After she wakes up, he tries to convince her to escape from the mansion, which she refuses. After that, Maria appears and throws knives at him. In the remake, Aya touches him after he passes out which reveals a little bit of his backstory. Prior to working at the Drevis mansion, his parents and younger sister passed away in an accident. Afterwards, he was hired by Alfred who told him to think of the household as his family, and that Aya would be his new sister. As Robin walks away after that encounter, he remarks that it's ridiculous for Alfred to think that Aya could replace his little sister. However, he came to grow protective over Aya as he saw that she held similarities towards his sister. Unfortunately, he would become a experiment for Alfred thus why his eye is missing and face is disfigured. He did survive this experiment, thanks to Monika's ghost, and instructed him to take care of her daughter. He agreed, as the memory ends there and Aya continues on her path towards rescuing her father. He is not seen again until one of the endings. After Maria fails to kill Alfred by throwing multiple knives at him when he tried to kill Aya, he gets up and tries to kill them both. Robin saves them by incapacitating Alfred just in the nick of time. Later in the story, before Aya and Maria are preparing to leave, Robin says Aya has no need to thank him and reveals it was her mother who had sent him to make sure she wasn't hurt and says he had no intention to be injured or to have scared her earlier. He tells Aya to not be sad, because her mother is watching over her. Robin continues to explain he must now set fire to the mansion to get rid of any traces of her father's work to prevent the tragedy from happening again, and asks Aya to remember her father's victims since their existence would be forgotten otherwise. Aya agrees, and as the mansion begins to burn Robin kisses Aya on the forehead and says "Goodbye Aya. May you be smiled upon." This is a charm previously shown to also be given to Aya earlier by her mother before she died. It is a reference to this. Aya and Maria leave, and the mansion and Robin are seemingly consumed by the flames along with the other reanimated corpses in the mansion. Robin is a young boy, with blonde hair, and light brown eyes, he has bandages bounded around his head that conceals his right eye. One of his eye is missing that was taken away by Aya's father as a child. His attire consists of a white collared shirt and brown pants, with straps over his shoulders. Robin has a rather lanky build, though he is stronger than he looks. His expression usually remains stoic throughout the game. He is a quiet and a slightly stoic young man. He knows what he has to do and stays focused. He is thankful for Aya's help and wants all of the victims to be remembered. He seems more mature for his age (possibly 13-14 years old), maybe due to what he has experienced since coming to work for the Drevis family.

We imagine his voice to sound similar to the English voice of Killua from HunterXHunter. Stoic, focused, and having a mid ranged voice. We do already have someone in mind to play him, but we would also like to hear other candidates as well.

  • (asking, a bit gloomy/sad)

Aya, there’s one thing I ask of you.

Do not ever forget the people who were sacrificed here.

None of us had any relatives.

No one looked for us… No one remembered us…

No one knew we existed at all.

It’s as if our very existences were erased from the world.

But we did indeed live. So I don’t want you to forget that.

I want you to hold proof in your heart that we were here…

That is the least you can do for us.

    (thankful)

My time here was my salvation.

    Even given what happened there…

I’ll never forget the people I met here…

"One of father's test subjects. Approaches Aya with a strange smile." - Mad Father Game Description Ines was one of Alfred Drevis's test subjects. She always approaches Aya with a strange & unsettling smile. Ines was a little girl, with short blonde hair, dark green eyes, & pale skin. She wore a white sleeveless dress, & is always seen with a smile. When Ines was alive, her appearance was much healthier & her eyes were more focused. Ines was a cheerful & playful little girl. She seems to love animals, since she was testing her adoptive mother Monika's perfume to make sure that the animals would like the scent but ended up failing. She often giggles. Ines displayed a desire to join Aya's family; however, she is killed by the dolls in the incinerator room since she helps Aya burn the Creepy Doll. When Aya finds her dead, she mutters with a wistful smile, "I only wanted to be a part of your family", before fading away.

Her voice can be in any range, I'm curious to see how you represent her. She has a mischievous tone and is always up to trouble.

  • (angsty, angry)

You told me I’d be family…

    You lied.

  • (mischievous)

You’ll have to destroy that doll if you wanna go further.

Burn it up real good and the spirit inside it’ll burn real good, too.

And then poof goes the invisible barrier around that door!

  • (happy)

I’m gonna be a big sister?

Hey Aya, it’s me! Your sister!

Ogre is a supporting character in the games Mad Father and Misao, which are both developed by Miscreant's Room. In Mad Father, he is known as the "weird salesman" and in Misao, as Mr. Onigawara, the head of the student council. Ogre (as he appears in Mad Father) wears a black three-piece suit - a shirt, a vest, and a jacket - with a black tie, black pants, and, initially, a black bowler hat, and appears to be a middle-aged man of a thin-average build, whereas, in Misao, he only wears a white shirt, a black vest with a black tie, and black pants. He also looks notably younger in Misao, possibly a shape-shifting act in order to resemble someone in the student council. His most prominent features are his pale skin and bald head. His red irises, momentary demonic visage, and elf-like ears are visual hints that he is not human. Ogre is the primary ally of Aya Drevis, and usually tends to help her during the events of the curse. He is shown to be calm and kind in terms of personality, caring about the safety of Aya, and even showing some form of sympathy towards Alfred Drevis during the good ending. He appears to have "supernatural" abilities as shown by his ability to "spawn" in any location of the Mansion in a very short amount of time. This indicates that Ogre is not human. As show in the "if" ending, he has no problem using humans as puppets to entertain himself with, and therefore, is overjoyed, amused, and pleased by the antics of the events unfolding in the mansion, and the otherworld. Although he enjoys this masochistic practice, he also provides the bare minimum support to characters as needed to help them achieve their goals, that being the goals that he decides are goals and gives advice and paraphernalia to the characters according to how he wants the scenarios played out. In the additional scene added to the gallery in version 2.00, Ogre waits for Dio in the cafeteria and has a conversation with him. The conversation reveals that Ogre was providing Dio, in addition to Aya, with some support throughout the events of the game; giving Dio medicine to heal him after he was attacked by Maria. The conversation reveals more explicitly that Ogre is not human, with his portrait changing to a more demonic visage at one point. Ogre also discusses his thoughts and motivations to some extent; he expresses his amusement with the events of the night and comments on how "love" can drive people to become crazed and hurt one another, which he finds both foolish and pleasing. He claims that his only goal in everything that happened was to observe the actions of deranged humans, which he enjoys watching; but he decided to take a more active role in influencing these events because he was becoming bored with mere observation. He tells Dio that he enjoys virtuous humans like himself as well because it is good people that allow the lunatics of the world to truly shine. Before disappearing, he tells Dio to continue standing against the madmen of the world, and that he'll be watching when the time comes.

His voice would be a deep masculine voice that sounds sophisticated, but can also sound demonic/non-human. He is very laid back through most of the main story.

  • (cutting her off)

    Well. It’s a curse.

What you saw were the corpses of your father’s test subjects.

Overcome with anger, those deceased have been brought back by the power of a curse.

To take revenge on your father… of course.

  • (cocky)

I have no goal, so to speak.

(evil, with a demonic voice filter)

I just enjoy observing deranged humans.

  • (suspenseful)

We appear to be in the space born of someone’s strong emotions.

Your soul has been trapped here.

At this rate, you may be unable to return to your own world…

"A girl from a poor village. She visits the Drevis clinic to get cured." - Mad Father Game Description

Jean Rooney is a girl from a poor village who appears at the end of the game. She visits the Drevis Clinic to get cured of her inborn feebleness. It is implied that she is killed by Aya Drevis, who now turns people into dolls, just like her father. Jean is a young girl with long dark brown hair that has bangs parted on both sides with two yellow pegs on the left sides, beautiful light green eyes. She wears a long white dress. Jean is seen to be very sweet, shy and energetic girl who even blushed when Aya Drevis commented on her eyes being beautiful and she considered Aya to be beautiful as well, from the very moment she met Aya.

Her voice is mid ranged to high pitched and is very cheerful and happy. Despite her medical conditions, she still wears a smile.

  • (happy, relieved)

    I’m finally here!

    I’ve heard about this place...

Clinic…? Yeah, this must be the place.

It’s out in the middle of nowhere… I bet no one even notices it.

  • (content, a bit shy)

    Yes, well… I was born rather feeble…

I usually get checkups from my local doctor, but… how do I say this…

My family doesn’t have much money, so the doctor’s given up on me.

    That’s why I came here.

I heard the doctor here does checkups for free…

  • (unsettling)

    Doctor…

Do you think you can make me better?

I have a dream, you know.

I want to be a doctor like you.

I want to help people suffering from the same illness as me.

Do you think I can do that…?

    Hey, Doctor…

    I want to keep living.

Roselia is one of Alfred's test subjects Aya later rescues. Her first appearance is in the Bedroom, screaming at Aya to give her daughter back. After returning to the Bedroom, a pool of blood stands in her place. She appears to be a young woman, with shoulder-length wavy light brown hair, and dark blue eyes. She wears bloodstained and dirtied clothing consisting of a white apron with lace design atop and a reddish dress underneath. Her skin is pale, and her face has blood dripping from the eyes, nose, and head, some making its way down her neck. The whites being heavily bloodshot.

Her voice should be mid ranged.

Collina is one of Alfred's test subjects, whom Aya Drevis later rescues. It shows Aya its death by lethal injection at the hands of Alfred. It is encountered in the Archives of F1. It then "possesses" Aya after getting the Memo Note in the book about preservation, letting her see the memories of its final moments and disappearing afterwards. It leaves its pendant after which can be returned to its mother. Collina was a little girl, with short blonde hair (light brown in the new version), grey eyes, and pale skin, and it can be seen that its tears and saliva is dripping from its face. Its sprite suggests that it was naked. After Aya is transported back from the Other World, you can view Collina's head on a doll. She is the lone doll on the far left, wearing a pink and red dress. This was not confirmed to be this character, but Aya says she looks familiar in the game when she views the doll. In Mad Father Version 2.0.2, its portrait is that of a child with arms outstretched towards the screen, with white eyes lacking of pupils and a gaping mouth.

Her voice should be high pitched and child like. However since she has passed, it should sound a bit unsettling as well.

The dolls are the finished products and the treasures of the Drevis family. After the curse befalls the mansion, the dolls and unliving in the mansion come back to life to seize revenge on Alfred Drevis, the mad scientist. The dolls are made out of different body parts collected from humans and animals, as shown throughout the game. The dolls come in all shapes, sizes, and genders, so there is no specific requirement for auditioning for the dolls.

She was a little girl, with long blonde hair, tied in two braids, and blue eyes, she was probably the same age as Aya. She wears a white polo shirt with a blue collar and a red buttoned Tie-like object. Aya finds her eyeballs and she somehow pops them back in (that implies that she is a ghost), then she rewards you with a gem, only to fade away. Some people say her appearance resembles Viola, the protagonist from The Witch's House. While it has been speculated that they are the same sprite, no confirmation has been given. It should be noted that the Eyeless Little Girl has blue eyes, while Viola has green eyes. Since she has a very little role in the game, there's not much about her personality or her backstory. She is very thankful that Aya found her eyes, as she rewards you with a gem. She is in a locked door (locked from the inside). After she is recovered, she drifts away, never to be seen again. It is unknown whether the little girl escaped the burning mansion or not.

Her voice should be high pitched. Little is known about her personality, except for she is thankful when Aya gave her eyes back.

The first is an emaciated looking figure who is sitting curled up in the basement in a room just past where Alfred Drevis's surgical room and the long hall of test tubes are. He is bald and appears to be naked. The Old Man appears to be delirious or mentally broken. When spoken to, he doesn't acknowledge Aya, but mutters to himself. On the first playthrough, part of his dialogue is dotted out, but subsequent playthroughs, the entire dialogue can be read. "Curse that youngster...Doing everything the woman says...And so deceived as to not realize her true nature...That woman's going to create a demon. She's even crazier than the doctor! Hmph, well, whatever...What should I care, I suppose?" This Old Man does not provide a gem, it is not necessary to talk to him to progress, and he does not effect the gameplay in anyway. He exists purely for story purposes. He also shares his anecdote to Dio about how he was taken into the Drevis family, and how he met his end at the hands of Alfred Drevis, as he explicitly states that if he hadn't put up resistance against the doctor's ways, he might not have been slain. As he was bound to the bath tub, it is highly probable that he burned down with the mansion.

His voice should sound deep and a bit scratchy due to his old age.

Hmp, well, whatever… What should I care, I suppose?

  • (monotone, emotionless)

    The youngster, eh…

You first came here as a servant too, I’ll bet?

Same for me. But I wasn’t like the others.

I was taken in to be a servant, not as raw materials.

That was back when the woman was alive…

As I worked here, I came to learn the true nature of this family.

I fled in terror. Fast as I could…

But I couldn’t make it away.

Thought I was pretty clear about it, too, but that woman saw right through me.

    She’s scary sharp, she is.

A woman who can read hearts… can brainwash people no problem.

Yeah, she well and truly tricks you…

  • (monotone, emotionless)

Hah, well, what do I care. You can think what you like.

I was taken into this mansion as a human being.

Maybe if I hadn’t tried running, they wouldn’t’ve killed me after all…

Headless Man is one of Alfred's test subjects that Aya later rescues. He has slick blue hair, pale blue eyes, and when his head gets attached, it's put on sideways. There's a deep cut on his neck to resemble where he was beheaded. He is not clothed. He has a slim body, pale skin, no eyebrows, and a blank expression. In Version 2.0.2, his design was updated with his chest elevated, somewhat spiked hair, and a more detailed face, looking older and more tired. After he finds his head, he will grants the player a gem. Since he appears only briefly in the game, nothing much is known about him other than that he was one of Alfred's test subjects.

His voice should be deep and scratchy.

This is one of Alfred's test subjects Aya eventually rescues. He's seen with spiky auburn hair and murky green eyes, and has no upper body wear except a small torn blue vest. Has a bruised complexion and a malnourished body. Not much is known about him, except that he was never given food since the other subjects took most of the food. He mentioned that he was considered a nuisance to others when he conversed with Aya while eating. He enjoys the meal of fried ham, and comments on how it tastes like his mother's own cooking (but it could be interpreted as tasting like his mother's own flesh). Before disappearing, he gives her a napkin out of gratitude, which will be needed later on in the game.

His voice should be medium pitched and should be scratchy to show that he hasn't had food or water in forever.
