Lore Olympus - Webtoon Fandub

Project Overview

~What is “Lore Olympus”?~

Lore Olympus is a web-comic created by Rachel Smythe, and hosted on LINE Webtoons.

The story is a modern re-telling of The Taking of Persephone.

The story is of the Romance genre!


For this casting call, I will try my best to avoid any major spoilers.

If you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend reading it here!

(Seriously, it's a fantastic series.)


~About the Project~

Lore Olympus is my favorite Webtoon, and I thought it would be really fun to produce a fandub of this series!

I will producing this dub with two good friends of mine, who will also be helping out with the casting.

We will start with only the first episode to test things out (how well we all work, how the public likes it, etc.). I will post an update on this casting call then!


The deadlines for each episode won’t be super long, since the episodes themselves aren’t all that long. I will give the voice actors roughly 2 weeks per episode to hand in lines.

Voice actors will be welcome to turn in lines early, as I try to work at least two chapters in advance. So chances are, episodes will come out before the recording deadline!


~Characters & Cast~

We had initially set out the first episode characters for audition!

We will not be casting all of the characters at one time, but rather, when it gets close to when the character first appears.
So for example, Apollo and Hermes first have lines in episode 21, so we won't cast them until we've completed, say, episode 19.

Characters who are open are available for audition, unless they appear after episode 21!
We will put up auditions for characters who appear after episode 21, once we reach the episode 20-mark in the dub!
All episode links will be in the "previous works" section of this casting call and my profile!
Feel free to audition with your own interpretation of each character’s voices!


~Auditioning~

  • Clear mic. Little-to-no background noise.

  • Be committed. If I cast you, please don’t just suddenly disappear. And please stick to deadlines.

  • Discord. I will be running this project on Discord to help me keep this project organized, so please have a Discord account or be prepared to make one.

  • Age. Because of some of the content, I would prefer that you are at least 16-18 years old.


IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that some content of this Webtoon is inappropriate for a younger audience!

Characters will also be swearing, so you must be comfortable with that!

  • Poseidon, Aphrodite, and Eros Added!

    Hello again! Episode 1 was delayed for a few reasons (New Year's, chorus battles, etc.), but we are back up again! Episode 1 is currently in its last stage, so we will begin the auditions for Poseidon, Aphrodite, and Eros! We will have auditions last about two weeks, though we may extend if we don't have enough auditions. The current audition deadline will be Sunday, February 17th. If we have decided to extend the deadline, we will post an update. Otherwise, the deadline will remain as is, and we will cast our 3 new characters! The current cast has been given lines for episode two, so the VA for Poseidon will have lines ready for them, once they have been cast! So I believe that is all for this update! Please feel free to DM me if you have any questions~

  • Casting the Remaining Characters!

    Hello! I realized that I accidentally typed the "15th" rather than the "16th," so I apologize for any misunderstanding that may have caused. But as meant to state in the previous update, we will be casting today! We will cast the remaining characters: Hades, Minthe, and Artemis! So without further ado, here are the voice actors who have been cast: Hades - Oppletron Minthe - TaylaSmithVA Artemis - Roseshin (private audition) Congratulations! I will be DMing those who have been cast! Please don't be upset if you were not cast! Once we finish episode one, it's very possible we will move onto episode two! So if anyone is still interested, I would recommend auditioning! I will post an update once episode one is complete, and our decision on moving onto the next episode!   • Casting

    Hello! Thank you so much to all who have auditioned! Everyone was amazing! I would also like to thank those who went out of their way to try out for other characters upon our request. Thank you! Without further ado, we went through each audition in detail, and all three admins have a pretty good idea on our cast! We will be casting Zeus and Hera now, as we have found the voices we have imagined Zeus and Hera to have! Zeus will be cast to Jflowers3, and Hera will be cast to KeciaDoesVO. Congratulations! We're still awaiting a couple more auditions from those who have been in contact with us through DMs, so we will not cast Hades, Minthe, and Artemis as of this moment. We will cast them on Sunday, December 15th, 7pm PST/10pm EST. Those waiting to audition will have until that date & time to do so. Thank you so much for reading this update!
