Looking for STORY WRITERS for brainstorming and creating a horror story! (The Walten Files esque horror)
Project Overview
This project is for creating and writing a story that I will be adapting into a game, series, and/or novel.
I need a writer who can help me brainstorm, conceptualize, and build the plot, characters, story beats, and write out the details. The story is a horror with the concept of something like Five Nights At Freddy's and The Walten Files, but leaning more towards the dark eerie horror of The Walten Files. So mainly a writer good at horror.
The Main Stuff
The idea is, like I said previously, but I'm wanting to switch it up a bit. I'm not sure why everyone is always doing the haunted/possessed robots or animatronics trope, so I wanted to try something different with the trope (cuz I'm not into the supernatural spiritual stuff, and honestly don't like it very much) and do my own unique spin on it. Something more sci-fi esque, and less "their souls are possessing the suits". I'm generally leaning towards more eerie horror like The Walten Files, because that really creeped me out and want to make something actually scary. I also would like to be time accurate, so if you're familiar with that time period, or know a lot about that, it would make it even better. (time period of Family Entertainment Centers like Chuck E. Cheese, Showbiz pizza, Billy Bob's Wonderland, Pizza Showtime, Major Magic's, Dandy Bear, Circus Playhouse etc. And then, these are a little modern but I like the vibe: Dave & Buster’s, Round1 Bowling & Amusement, and Cicis Pizza.)
Writer
You will be helping with brainstorming and cowriting stories.
Requirements:haven written a good amount of stories, whether they be short stories or fully completed ones.
good with multiple genres and able to change up styles anytime.
availability e.g. able to hop on voice chat to brainstorm ideas and story plans etc. when needed, write down any ideas you came up with/story plans discussed without having talked to each other.
notify me whenever you come up with a new idea, or whenever we talk next. (you're not required to immediately notify me, its not that urgent, I'm a chill guy)
fine with me being a Christian/Christianity. (not required to be a Christian, just gotta to be chill with em. But if you are, that's welcomed)
When I want to brainstorm ideas and what we'll be writing/coming up with, we will be either talking in discord dms or on a voice chat that we can either record so that we don't miss anything, or just have some notepaper/note app to write down the key points. (I prefer voice chat so that we actually have a more full conversation.)
It would be ideal if you had experience in and were good at writing horror for this project. Because that's what we will mainly be doing.
I'm not sure if this will become a game, or a show, or a book. It could possibly even become all three.
I have it marked unpaid because I'm not sure I will make money off of it, but if I do then we will share the profit.
