King’s Return Manga Dub
Synopsis:
The Holy Grail War is a long-time ritual in which seven Mages must battle one another for possession of the Holy Grail, a wish-granting device known for its ability to create miracles. In order to do so, each selected Mage must become a Master by summoning a Servant — heroes from both folktales & history — to fight for them. Enter Fujimaru Ritsuka, an average boy, who was forced to participate in the war due to the disappearance of his talented twin sister. Ritsuka summons a King from the age of Mesopotamia who aids him in his quest to obtain the grail and learn the truth about what happened to his twin.

Hello hello! Red Velvet here with a ton of cream cheese and an all-new project. I run a Youtube channel along with my close friends where we post F/GO comic dubs. This time, my team and I plan on dubbing a fanmade comic by Riko-san (@grgriko) based in Fate/Grand Order who we got permission to translate. It's currently around 90 pages long, of which 66 are already translated, so if you audition, please make sure you can set aside time to submit your lines on or before the deadline. I am not super strict when it comes to projects as long as you communicate to me properly.
Kindly note that though we include vocal references for the characters, you don’t have to strictly adhere to them.
Guidelines:
- this project is UNPAID
- USB and XLR mics only with little to no background noise. (Also no bongos for the love of god)
- must have a Discord account as that will be the main place of communication and direction.
- Record no more than 2 takes per line.
- Feel free to include your demos if you have one.
- Knowledge in Fate/Grand Order would be preferred, but is not necessary.
Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in the deletion of your audition during the casting process.

The protagonist of this AU. Compared to other iterations, he is more somber and serious. A teenager who’s thrust into a Holy Grail War after his sister disappeared, he seeks to find where she is alongside his Servant. Has no talent for magecraft hence he grew up as a normal boy instead of a mage.
What we’re looking for: Young, teenage voice. Medium to Medium-High pitch. Think Shounen Protagonist but toned down.
[Reflective, narrating his backstory] Maybe it’s because we were only fraternal twins, but our appearance, personality, and talent as magi were wildly different. Ritsuka showed talent in magecraft since she was young, and our parents often praised her. I, on the other hand, had almost no talent as a magus, and lived life like your average person.
[Unsure, doubtful if his magic worked] Did it… work…? This is… No, this person is… Is this my Servant?
[clearly angry, was unaware he’s being used as bait] Bullshit! Talks himself up all big, and then he just disappears!? Where the hell did he go?!
The second protagonist of this AU as he is Ritsuka’s Servant. As a Caster, Gilgamesh has a more mature mindset. The wisest king of all, made so after returning from his quest for immortality. In the legends, he is spoken of as “the man who saw everything”.
He is sometimes cold and sometimes accepting of human emotion. He is the stern, yet great king of Uruk.
What we’re looking for: Medium to Medium-Low pitch. Arrogant but mature. Walks and talks with the air of a king no matter who he faces.

Ritsuka’s older sister. Due to her potential, she grew up as a mage compared to her twin who grew up normally.
What we’re looking for: Medium pitch. Young, teenage voice. Down-to-earth and caring big sister voice.

[Her brother: Hm? Did you forget something]
Oh! No, no. I just have somewhere else I need to go first. Sorry, but do you mind going on ahead?
[saying to herself, almost a whisper] ...And I’m sorry.
One of the Tamamo Nine. After Tamamo-no-Mae raised her divinity through thousand-year training, she returned to a one-tailed fox and the other eight tails were cut off. Each tail gained divinity of their own and became individual souls that could be summoned as Heroic Spirits. A crystallization of the (rather) pure side of Tamamo-no-Mae.
What we’re looking for: A cat-like quality to the way she speaks.

[about to attack] It’s time we end this little game of cat and mouse~
[smug] Oh hoh~ If I defeat you here, my master will definitely be pleased.
Berserker’s Master. A middle-aged man who holds pride as a mage of his family. Though he is proud, he has a kind heart deep down and will help people who require it.
What we’re looking for: Medium-Low to Low middle-aged voice.
[offended] O-old man?! How dare you! Just let go of me!
[confused then grateful] I’m honestly surprised that you asked me to make you food after dragging me here. If you haven’t stopped your Servant, I definitely would have been killed. For that, I thank you.
[concerned] I’m thankful for your naivete and cluelessness in this case, but it’s going to get you killed someday, you know?
Mash is a mysterious, kind-hearted girl. She refers to Ritsuka Fujimaru as her Senior/Senpai. Saber’s Master in this AU Holy Grail War.
What we’re looking for: Medium-High pitch. Pure and sweet teenage voice. Vocal reference.
I do understand that it’s not wise to believe the words of the enemy. But I know what a kind heart Senpai has.
[standing firm on her side] We may still have to fight one another in the end. Are you okay with that?
[having a private moment with her Servant where she offers cake so he can eat with her] Saber, would you like some?
[Saber: Well... As I am a servant, I do not require any foo-]
But it doesn't mean you can't eat anything, right? We have these cakes anyway, so… Please?
Caring for justice, honoring women, loathing evil - this virtuous figure overflowing with romance was acknowledged as the “ideal knight” by King Arthur.
What we’re looking for: Medium-Low to Low. Knightly and vicious in the battlefield but can sound caring because he dotes on his Master. Vocal Reference.
[concerned, threatening tone] Master, that boy does not seem to be deceiving you. However… the same cannot be said about Caster.
[preparing to fight] Master, your orders.
I… will disappear after this war is over. But I swear I will do my damnedest to attain the Grail for both of you. SO please… protect her after I am gone.
A doctor in Ritsuka’s neighborhood clinic. An archetypal “everybody’s friend”. He has a bad habit of, when caught in a dilemma, ending up choosing to either “stick to observing without making any decisions” or “running away”, though, due to his nature, if someone in his surroundings were to just say a word - “Please, do your best” - he will somehow get a hold of himself and show a decisive judgement.
What we’re looking for: Medium to Medium-High pitch. He’s mostly a dork, but is serious when it comes to matters of saving lives.
So, apparently the Rider group found out about this location. Whatever the case, I can’t just sit on the sidelines anymore.
I could feel your Servant’s murderous intent from a mile away. Any more and my barrier would break.
[And old lady was brought to the clinic and he needs to focus] I hate to say this, but, Ritsuka, can you please leave? If you want a fight, then I’ll take you on another time.
A young man who is like a wind blowing on the grassland. Before him, anyone would end up letting the tension out of their shoulders - a refreshingly righteous person. Still, due to seemingly being quite lacking in terms of seriousness and such together with a lack of the sense of responsibility, one can see that Merlin may also appear as a shaddy con man. A rhetorician who even while perceiving things in an objective manner and accepting the cruelty of the world of humans, turns it into something bright.
