Johnny The Homicidal Maniac Fandub (EPISODE 1)
Project Overview
This is a fandub of the 90's comic series, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. I want to start this dub with the first book.
All roles are open, except for the title character himself, because I'm selfish like that.
I'm looking for minimal background noise
and decent audio quality for this project. You don't have to sound like
you're in a professional booth, but I don't want to hear things such as
your cats mewling, like your mic is lodged in your esophagus, or like
you're underwater.
ACTORS MUST HAVE A DISCORD ACCOUNT SO THAT WE CAN EASILY COMMUNICATE.

Squee is a small child that just so happens to be the neighbor of a homicidal maniac. He lives in a home where his parents are irritated with him and his only friends are said next-door homicidal maniac and Shmee, his stuffed bear [Who seems to be able to speak in Squee's mind]. This kid....he ain't gonna grow up with a healthy head.
[Give a frightened squeak]
"Let's go to my room, Shmee. We'll hide under the blankets and maybe fall asleep before we die."
"So, are you gonna chop me up and put me in the garbage now? Because
Shmee tells me you're a bad guy. He says this is a bad place to be.
Please don't chop me up."
Squee's mother, unlike his father, is the just plain neglectful parent of the two, offloading the work of taking care of the child to her "loving" husband.
"Mommy's ignoring you, honey. Go bother your father, he's in his study."
"I can't hear you honey."
Squee's father, who seems to be up to his neck in work. Unlike his mother, who just seems neglectful of their child, his father seems to harbor more bitter resentment towards the kid.
"I'm busy right now, working."
"I haven't smiled once since you were born."
[Angry] "Your presence tires me, now go to your room and stay quiet or the things will hear you."
Mr Eff (Or Mr Fuck) is one of the voices in Nny's head, represented by a Styrofoam doll of a Pillsbury DoughBoy. He represents the more manic, homicidal side of Johnny.
"Don't expect anything but nasty irritation from anyone you didn't create."
"You're alive for now! Why waste your existence mimicking the dead!? Go enjoy!!"
"Poisoning our boy's mind with your shit!! You offend me!!!"
Psycho Doughboy plays the role of the self loathing, suicidal side of Johnny. He attempts to make Nny feel bad and make him kill himself on multiple occasions.
"You are nothing more than an outhouse to him, Mr. Eff, whereas I am his
home. He will return, and when he does, that will be the end of it.""Try something else! Put your head in the trash compactor! That should work!!"
"You see, he's a bit upset just now. None too pleased with the turn of
events. I, on the other hand, feel quite lovely. Ironic, really,
considering I'm known to be the depressive side of things, while he is
more accustomed to being the manic one."
Of all the voices in Nny's head, this one seems to be more of a voice of reason. From self preservation to foiling the plans of the Doughboys, he's one of the few "good people" in the comic, despite being a bunny nailed to a wall.
"You bought me from the pet store, fed me once, and then nailed me to the wall; THREE YEARS AGO. I dont have to imagine."
"Killing yourself isn't the answer."
"She liked you and you tried to kill her. That was impolite."
A very angry stick figure who comes from the mind of Johnny himself. Quite the hit with the homeless insane.
"NIPPLES!! I HAVE NO NIPPLES!!!"
"Crackers! Crackers! But, no squeezy cheese!! You've broken my secret elbow!"
"Oh, the horror!! The funky horror!!"
The survey taker was just a normal man trying to take a survey for the neighborhood watch. Quite sad that he had to approach Nny's humble abode.
"So what do you think about murder?"
(Fearfully) "No! I'm just trying to do a survey! Honest!"
"Hello there! Say, I couldn't help but notice your house number, 777? That's funny! Isn't that, like, the number for heaven or something?" [Nervous chuckle]
An extra whose husband was recently found dead, which she doesn't seem really plused by. She doesn't seem to be plussed by anything, really.
"Well I'd really hate to miss Oprah Windy, but this whole mutilation thing is pretty upsetting, so ask away."
A crosswalk guard who's been assigned as captain for the day.
"Hey Miguel! Keep your sign up! Stop being so lazy!"
A child crosswalk guard who's tired of Leah-Ann's bickering.
"I'm not lazy, Leah-Ann! This is how Ms Chen told us to hold it, so be quiet!"
A depressed, conceited outcast with rodent-like features. He believes himself to be the "Ultimate being".
"Remember, dog, beauty is ephemeral, pain is forever."
"I never asked to be this superior being."
"If you actually believe your true intelligence is determined by some
standardized system, well, then you can't be THAT smart. The ability to
quote memorized information is hardly worth such joy."
A random lady in the Taco Hell who just so happens to call our favorite homicidal maniac "wacky".
"My! You're certainly a wacky one, aren't you?"
"Well, yes, I was only commenting on your appearance."
"My taco is getting cold."
[FOR FEMALE EXTRAS] "Well, that lady called that guy 'wacky'."
[FOR MALE EXTRAS] "Hey, so she said 'wacky'! So what? I mean look at you! Now shut up!
[MALE AND FEMALE ACTORS] "MY EYES! I CAN'T SEE MY EYES!"
If I remember correctly, this character only says one thing in the entire series, but stops Nny from killing himself, so I think that they're important enough.
"That commercial where the whole family get diarrhea is on!"
