Project Overview
[MESSAGE]
Hello, I'm Wiz! I'll be the director of this small project. If you'd like to see what kind of editing I'm capable of, please refer to the video above. This mini movie will basically be my way of making up for a past cancelled series: "Charity." However, the overall plot and personalities will be different, just to make it easier to fit within a 15 minute timeframe. Here's a brief summary of the story: an aspiring vocalist travels to Vinewood to audition for what she believes will be her big break. Along the way, she meets pop sensation Charlie Devonne, who offers a helping hand. However, she must still face the harsh realities that are intertwined with the famous. Will she be able to come out on top?
[RULES FOR AUDITIONERS]
1. Timing: Please submit your audition on time! This project is somewhat time-bound, so unless nobody auditions, there will be no extensions. It should release sometime around January of next year.
2. Quality: Try to use a decent microphone, with as little background noise as possible.
3. Dedication: By auditioning, you are agreeing to be dedicated to the project, and to submit all your lines on time! There will be a two to three week deadline for people who get cast.
4. Communication: Please include your Discord tag in the audition, as that is how I will be communicating with everybody.
5. Acting: This will be a voice ACTED mini movie. Please try to put some emotion into your lines!
6. Age: I’d like everybody that is participating to be at least 13 years old. This is because the voices should match the characters, who are young adults.
7. Characters: You can audition for as many characters as you want! However, you may only audition once per character, but you can do multiple takes within that voice file.
[EXTRA INFORMATION]
1. Deadline: The deadline is December 12th.
2. Gacha: If you didn't already realize through the title, this project will be a Gacha mini movie.
3. Vocal Range: I don't have any set ideas about what the characters should sound like (other than April and Charles), so try to play around with what you think their voices would be.

April is the protagonist of this story. She's someone who's often got her head up in the clouds, dreaming of something bigger and better. Below is a link to the song she'll be "singing" in the mini movie. Please keep the singer's voice in mind as you audition, though you don't need to sound exactly like her.

(Sighs in awe) "Here we are... Vinewood."
(Mumbling to content) "Urgh... where- is- my- phone?! Ah, here it is!"
(Anxious) "Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot! I gotta get to Silvershine Records ASAP! It's already 3:20!"
Charlie Devonne is a popular pop singer. He's a romantic at heart, and expresses that through his songs. Below is a link to the song he'll be "singing" in the mini movie. Please keep the singer's voice in mind as you audition, though you don't have to replicate it exactly.
(Friendly) "Hey, wait! You can take my seat, I'm leaving in a few minutes anyways."
(Happy) "Well, what are we waiting for? Let the auditions begin!"
(Shouting) "Hello? April, are you out here? Hello?!"
Harmony is April's best friend from her hometown. She's upbeat, supportive, and a huge tease.
(Excited) "Oh my gosh, APRIL?! You will not BELIEVE how happy I am to hear your voice! How's Vinewood?"
(Encouraging) "Well, let me just say this, because I know you're nervous as heck right now. You can DO THIS! Everyone back home knows you're a legend, now you just gotta prove it to them!"
(Reassuring) "Don't worry, I know you won't. Now, go on out there and get the complete Vinewood experience! You'd better take pictures for me, got that? Okay, bye!"
This is a double-cast type role, meaning that the voices you use for these two characters should be slightly different. The first is just a stereotypical radio show host, with a smooth as silk voice. The other, Judge 1, is a popular country singer, though an accent is not required.
Radio Show Host: (Smooth) "Next up, we have Charlie Devonne's 'Feel It Too.'"
Judge 1: (Announcing) "Welcome everybody, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to come to these auditions."
Judge 1: (Bored) "You finally ready? Alright, give it your best go."
This is a double-cast type role, meaning that the voices you use for these two characters should be slightly different. The first, Krystal, is a popular indie artist. The second, Judge 2, is just an elegant but prissy judge.
Krystal: (Disgusted/whispering) "Oh my gosh, what's wrong with her?"
Judge 2: (Brisk) "To make the best use of all our time, we'll be skipping the introduction and guidelines, and diving straight into the auditions. I trust that everybody has taken the liberty to read them in advance on our website."
Judge 2: (Clears throat) "That was rather... unique, wasn't it? BUT, it didn't follow the guidelines."
This is a double-cast type role, meaning that the voices you use for these two characters should be slightly different. The first, Rose, is a popular cover artist. The second, Judge 3, is just a judge bored with work.
Rose: (Harsh) "Don't be mean."
Judge 3 (Stern): "We'll be scoring you on a three points per category system. However, keep in mind that the final say goes to Charlie Devonne himself."
Judge 3: (Blunt) "You can start whenever you're ready."
She's just a barista trying to live her life. Quick, witty, and straightforward, Vinewood has taught her a thing or two about how to be efficient.
(Shouting/rushing) "Number 5 Iced Mocha Latte with cocoa powder and no whipped cream for... Jake? Jake Hollaway?"
(Confused) "Um, ma'am? You gonna order something? In case you didn't notice, we don't have all day."
(Rushing) "Here you go. Next!"
