Project Overview
Plot Synopsis
Infinity is a dramatic, character-focused Destiny 2 Machinima series. Unlike the first season, the second season is based entirely on original characters and revolves around a group of heroes navigating the arrival of an worn-out veteran to their team while attempting to stop a bloodthirsty madman out for revenge.
Project Details
Given that this is a project made in Destiny 2, a working knowledge of the lore of the game is helpful but not required. This Casting Call leaves out two main characters (Hector and Renzo) that have already been cast, as well as a couple of very minor characters. Every character's accent is marked as the default North American, but all of the roles are open to any accent. The second season of Infinity is standalone, ie it doesn't follow on from the first season (although you can check out Season 1 here for an idea of the scope and scale of S2). Despite this, some characters will eventually return for Season 4 of Infinity. These characters will be marked as such in their respective roles. One of the two central protagonists in the season, Iris is the leader of her own team of operatives (Elliott, Roderick, Foxtrot and Brandy), and it is the arrival of her old mentor that kicks off the season and forces her to reckon with her past mistakes. As a character she is usually levelheaded and in control. although she can very quickly turn snappy and defensive when questioned by the other members of her team. Her voice should be both strong and robust and able, at times, to shift to quiet regret.
Iris will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so her voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.
[Confused]: You… you… I know you.
[Shuddering Sigh]: I thought he would be able to handle it. I really did.
[Fiercely]: That’s where he’s wrong. We both knew he was a better fighter than me.
The main villain of the season, Cain was once an acquaintance of Iris who was presumed dead in a failed stealth mission several years before the season begins. Having survived, he returns out for blood, blaming Iris for his near-fatal mishap all those years ago. As a character he is relentless and manipulative, convincing Bryce Rae-Turner and Lukasz-16 into his service, and is also a gifted fighter, frequently squaring off against and besting the protagonists. He speaks fairly quickly, with a snide, hissing tone that frequently turns low and menacing.
Cain will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so his voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.
[Sigh of Annoyance]: Of course half the files are classified.
You think the Vanguard will ever let me leave this cell alive?
[Grunts in Pain]: Have I touched a nerve?
One of the members of Iris' team, Elliott is a collected and calculating individual who has an affinity for rules and regulations. He is suspicious and distrustful of a number of characters, including Iris. As a Vanguard operative, Elliott was assigned to Iris' team under less-than-harmonious circumstances and the other members gradually become aware that he knows far more about Iris' past than they do. He speaks bluntly and clearly.
Elliott will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so his voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.
What they did was damage control. Nothing more, nothing less.
We know it won’t kill him. But that’s about it.
[Furious]: You let him go?!
Another two members of Iris' team, Roderick and Foxtrot are twins, hence their status here as a single role instead of multiple. Despite their somewhat-constant bickering they are seldom seen apart, and lend a more jovial and lighthearted dynamic to the team, in contrast to characters like Elliott.
Given that this role is two characters as opposed to one, the number of lines to be recorded is substantially higher than any other role in this Casting Call despite the twins' status as supporting characters rather than leads. The main reason for casting the same actor for both parts is to ensure a noticeable similarity in their voices; therefore overt attempts to contrast Roderick and Foxtrot's lines are not needed (subtle changes such as a slight variance in the rhythm or pitch of their speech or slightly different processing of each twin's voice are fine). The lines that are marked "in unsion" are to be delivered at almost the exact same time via double-tracking.
Roderick and Foxtrot will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so their voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.
[Roderick/Foxtrot in unison]: We’re ready.
Roderick: No. Let him talk.
Foxtrot: He’s trying to wind us up.
Roderick: And you’re falling for it.Foxtrot: So in conclusion…
Roderick: He’s screwed.
Foxtrot: So, so screwed.
Brandy is a member of Iris' team and is a capable fighter able to hold her own against the mercenary Lukasz-16. Despite this, she is uncertain of her own abilities and occasionally voices her dissatisfaction with her lack of perceived contributions to the team. She has a good relationship with the twins, and similarly lends a lighter tone to the season. She normally speaks with a brash, extroverted voice, which shifts to a quieter, more subdued register when talking about her own insecurities.
Brandy will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so her voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t sting. Look at me. What have I contributed so far?
[Breezily]: And you’re very welcome to do that. But until then, you’re going to sit in here and rot.
The only character in this Casting Call that is unaligned against either Cain or Iris, Reilly is a Hunter attempting to find a cure for his dying Ghost. This quest has made him rather bitter and resentful of his Ghost's efforts to provide emotional support, but it has also given him a grim, unending resolve to find a way to save his Ghost. He encounters Cain by chance and is then sought out by Roderick and Foxtrot, who offer their help. Reilly usually speaks with an emotionally-charged, determined baritone.
Reilly will return for Season 4 of Infinity, so his voice actor will need to be committed to that season as well.
[Slowly; Sardonic]: Parasite. In my Ghost. Linked to something really powerful.
[Growls in Frustration]: I wasn’t planning on telling them that.
Then I’ll find a way. I always do.
Reilly's Ghost is his constant companion throughout his struggles. They* are slowly dying to a powerful parasite that drains their life force, but in contrast to Reilly's agonised desperation, his Ghost is calm and accepting of their fate, frequently urging Reilly to make peace with it. They speak with a soft, calming voice.

You can’t kill this thing. Whatever it is, it’s locked up for a good reason.
This is a terrible idea.
Abel is Cain's Ghost: his miniature guide and constant companion. Being the only other character fully aware of Cain's plans from the start, Abel frequently converses with Cain and is more compassionate than him, warning Iris' team in advance of Cain's return behind his back. While he supports Cain's quest for revenge, Abel is not as singularly obsessed with vengeance and towards the end of the season implores Cain to consider a less destructive form of retribution. He speaks with a high, measured voice that only very rarely turns spiteful.
They're classified for a reason, you know. Must mean we're on to something important.
[Protesting]: I did! There’s no way we could have tripped it.
[Sarcastic]: Well being HUNTED BY AN EXO MURDER MACHINE does tend to set people on edge.
Sarcastic, intelligent, smarmy and singularly obsessed with money, Lukasz-16 is an amoral mercenary who obtains valuable information on Cain. This attracts the attention of both Cain himself and Iris and her team, and Lukasz reacts with charming hostility to both sides. Having absolutely no qualms with killing, he makes attempts on the lives of multiple characters, and has a long criminal record covering extortion, robbery, murder, arson and more. He speaks smoothly, with an air of sarcastic smugness.
I get paid by the contract, not the hour, so let’s skip the pleasantries. What do you want?
[Breezily Sarcastic]: Sure you can, darling. Because people who can take care of things on their own are always flocking to mercenaries.
I have a better idea. Did you know the Vanguard just put out a bounty on your head?
A strong but not-all-that-bright prize fighter, Bryce Rae-Turner is Cain's hired muscle for most of the season. Lured in by Cain's false promise of rich rewards, he acts as an enforcer for the villain, frequently appearing to even out fights on the behalf of his employer. He speaks with a loud, barking voice that exudes energy and arrogance.
Oh… isn’t that… you know, a little dangerous?
Go run some more training drills. I’ll see what’s up with this guy.
[Overconfident]: That all you got, old man? Last time you put up a fight. What happened? Did you lose your nerve?
A suave, competent mercenary, Foster-10 is a friend of Lukasz-16, and shares his preoccupation with money. She acts as his handler, arranging meetings and teaming up with him to confront nonpaying clients. She speaks with a slow, lazy drawl that frequently turns condescending.
[Venomously]: When we get out of here, I’m putting bounties on your head and the head of that sniper-happy Warlock.
Come out and fight me!
You’re dressed like a cash-strapped, inexperienced, repulsively desperate Hunter. I sincerely doubt you could afford a drink here, let alone his fee for meeting with you.
