Latest Updates

  • More characters and a serious recasting of Yu Narukami

Hello dear followers of the Inaba Channel project! And welcome to the first project update! It's a little bit of a long read.

    First off,

I want to say that I'm proud of the way this project is shaping up to be! I've taken a close listen & look at our current auditions and I just want to say; Thank you.

Inaba Channel is a byproduct of my love and passion for Persona 4, and I really can't wait to share that with other people, both internally within the team AND our soon-to-be-viewers! I feel like now would be a logical step to have more characters available and I would like to know who you guys would love to see in this series somewhere! I'm in the middle of writing scripts as of this moment and would like to expand our cast to more characters to give more people a shot to voice out their talents!

Do let me know in the comments somewhere on who you would love to see personally and it'll be considered! Once again, thank you all for the auditions be it voice actor OR storyboard artists!! We're gonna need some more storyboard artists, so we would appreciate if you could spread this project around to other Persona fans who you know that could and would want to lend a hand!!

Now, to some more serious news...

The other day, a team member had reached out to me about a concern regarding our prior pick for Yu Narukami's voice actor. A document showing his sick and twisted behavior around women and girls, black people and Asian people was shown to me in DMs. This has resulted in me taking him away from our project, because we will not condone this behavior. Even if this behavior wasn't shown within the team, I'm not taking any chances. This was @soladyne and here is the document made on him: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-18plLGPICGp9B3j8Xwmu1R_68IdCvYEYANd_BQ-u3E/edit?usp=sharing

We have since then recasted Yu thanks to another VA on the team.

Right now, I'm planning on doing some meetings with the team here and there and even thinking of making a short-form video together with Bit, the artist behind the splash backgrounds and banners of this project, which I'm thinking of posting to Tiktok, as I know a lot of Persona fans are on there! The more, the merrier!

Thank you for taking the time to read this update!

A 6-year old girl with a lot of love for her family and friends. She enjoys every stay at Junes and gets excited before every stay! Nanako loves her father Ryotaro Dojima, big bro Yu Narukami and his friends very much. While she enjoys her childhood to the fullest, she's more mentally sound than a lot of people in Inaba after her mom Chisato Dojima passed from a car crash. The loneliness and silence at home gets loud enough to get Nanako sad sometimes.

Repulsive and unemployed to the max! Chie is a high-energy lover of meaty foods and kung-fu movies, so much so that she'd break a leg or two for them. She has a serious hero complex and wants to protect those that she loves. And despite her love for good food, she is no good cook. Has no problem throwing Yosuke under the bus sometimes.

Role assigned to: Shuya!

A calm and collected girl with an inn that's run by her family. Has a deep relationship with both Chie and her family running the Amagi Inn. She tends to get unwanted attention both from the media and lovesick boys from Yasogami High. So much so that the ritual of asking her out has become known as the "Amagi Challenge". Just like Chie, she is in no grounds to be called a chef. She can get in quite a bit of a laughing fit from the silliest moments.

A popular idol figure nervous to roam the streets of Inaba all by herself! Risette is a sweet girl who lost all motivation to keep continuing her showbiz in favor of finding herself in her own personal life. Rise is an ambivert who presents herself as an extrovert. It's very convincing though, considering her high forms of talents including acting, singing and many more! It doesn't include her terrible cooking though.

Role assigned to: JC

Tough kid with unusual interests compared to the other boys in Yasogami High. His late father told him: "If you're a man, you have to become strong.", which is a sentence he has misinterpreted for the longest time. Kanji hasn't discovered this part of himself yet and as a result, distances himself from people so they don't get the wrong idea of him. That also comes with its negative effects, however. He often gets teased by the Investigation Team.

A force to be reckoned with. This detective gets serious work done when the opportunity arises. It often lands in blasphemy with the higher forces of the police, which has negatively changed the trajectory of Naoto's life. Naoto has a hard time knowing how seriously to take some cases for someone her age. She would be the most mature Investigation Team member if it weren't for her leader. Naoto fears the occult and is even a fan of Featherman!
