So I originally started voice acting because I found it fun and considered it a hobby. And read Homestuck because I found it fun and considered a hobby. So I was like, fuck it, let's make a garbage sandwich. And now I'm here. You're welcome. This project is based around Homestuck obviously, and I need voice actors for the youtube channel I'm currently starting up. I have a rather flexible schedule, and I'm completely fine if you don't. You will need:
-A Mic that has decent quality
-Some background knowledge on how to work voice editing software like Audacity (But we can work that out if you don't know how to use it)
-A decent amount of knowledge on Homestuck. This is actually one of my biggest concerns because Homestuck is really freaking weird, and in order to voice the characters, you need to understand them to some degree.
-A somewhat flexible schedule. Don't worry too much about this. I just need to be able to contact you. I will take understudies for your character if you're casted.
-Confidence in yourself. Seriously though, we're all doing the same thing here, voice acting. No matter who you are, your race, your gender, your age, you're a voice actor. And I'm going to support you just like the rest of this beautiful community. (I hope that they do anyways).
Now some side details, I will need contact information. Preferably Skype information. May add more characters later.

Dave is cool. And that's about it. If you're casted for Dave, just be ready to be bombarded by Davekat requests because the majority of vides between Dave and Karkat will be a little more friendly than usual. I suggest that you don't be sensitive to homosexual material for this role. Not Nsfw of course.

Random, silly, but extremely intelligent and handy, Jade is a very mysterious character at first. She's generally fanonisized as sort of stupid and clueless but the exact opposite is true. She is very smart, and she is usually alone. Though she's probably a bigger dork than John.

The most prominent characteristic of Sollux is his lisp. I'd imagine he'd sound pretty nerdy. He's very sarcastic.

His last name is literally English, and English accent would be preferred.

A bit loud, very happy and cheery, generally a nice person with good intentions.

There are so many amazing interpretations for Gamzee, and it's amazing how many different perspectives there are for his voice. Really just go with your heart on this one.

Her voice would definitely be a little over dramatic. If you have another interpretation of her, by all means show me that. I try to leave room for creative freedom.

Not so much of a drunk anymore, but was at one point so be prepared for that. She's usually cheery and happy, but can have her depressing moments.

Eridan has depth. I think a lot of people fail to see that. He's a very complicated character with a superiority disorder. He's not just some sassy sea dweller, even though it's really fun to think of him that way. Remember his accent!

Your fraternization with the base classes have 100sened your morals, can't you see this
Very proper in syntax and in presentation, I'd imagine Rose to have a very calm way of speaking. Though while drunk, I'd expect her to be a bit sluggish in speech.
"I'm fully aware I'll probably die and fail. Scratch happens, we start fresh. No recollection, no problem." (Proper and Prime, try to give her a sense of elegance in speech and syntax)
"That'sh not all you managed to keep lit." (Drunk Rose. Slurred perhaps.)
"Lemme tell yuoi, THIS GUYY, is THE BEST;D" (Drunk Rose)
John is quirky, frankly, kind of an asshole too. He's sarcastic, and a little bit clueless at times. He's the sort of dorky one of the whole group, but he's also a realist at times. Say it with me guys, "Egbert is not a derp! EGBERT IS NOT A DERP!". I'd imagine his voice to be sort of pre-pubescent. Lighter. Accents don't matter.
"Karkat! I am not a homosexual!" (Slightly flustered)
"All im saying is don't you think monster howie mandel has the power to do something as simple as reseal a bottle? Try using your brain numbnuts." (Teasingly, not too lighthearted, but not too mean either.)
"We just became earth human buddies in a kind of weird way. You decide to keep talking to me backwards through my adventure. And then when you are done with that you come back and talk to me more recently on the timeline for a while. You talk to my friends a whole bunch too. You and your alternian troll buddies help me and my earth human buddies hatch a plan! Which we are busy putting into motion right now, as you can see." (Light and Cheery, almost Arrogant)
Loud, obnoxious, and a sweety. Seriously, Karkat is pretty sweet. He'd have a soft side, his voice would likely be a bit tough and scratchy while also being a bit pre pubescent.
"THAT'S BEEN GOING ON EVER SINCE JOHN STARTED SCRATCHING THAT BIG GODDAMN RECORD, AREN'T YOU ACCLIMATED TO IT BY NOW?"
"......................................" (Some angry noises, grunts, just general Karkat sounds of irritation)
"I DO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT AS MUCH AS IT MAKES ME SICK TO MY VARIOUS BITS OF ALIEN PHYSIOLOGY YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF, THESE GIRLS ARE CLEARLY FLIRTING WITH BOTH OF YOU PRETTY HARD."
I love Dirk with all my heart and soul. And I feel so bad about him and Jake breaking up. But I had to make that last line one of his most memorable.
"But what good is a man of action in a place where action itself is intrinsically fruitless?"
"It's just a shame that believing will take something so coarse as seeing, for a girl as sharp as you. Critical thought can lead one to accept the unlikely, just as much as dismiss the impossible."
"Jake, I'm not marrying shit. And frankly, you've got some nerve coming down here babbling about marraige with that shit eating grin and that dumb little pumpkin on your head. After the way you ditched me and ignored all my messages? You know what, if you didn't like me anymore, and wanted to stop hanging out, then fine, I could handle that. But to just completely shut me out, like I didn't deserve an explanation, that's just cowardly. Why couldn't you just man up and talk to me? You act like I don't have feelings, like I'm some kind of robot. Well you're wrong, I do. And I'm using these feelings to start to FEEL like you're actually kind of an asshole. So whatever you were so afraid to tell me before your fucking sugar high, don't worry about it, I'll save you the trouble, it's over Jake." (Super dramatical)
I don't really have much of an interpretation to compare her voice to other than Off Broadway Aradia. She's interesting, as her voice can be monotone, but it can also be cheery. She's just a bit of a difficult character to voice, so I'll be a bit flexible with her.

I really enjoyed Octopimp's version of Tavros. But there are many interpretations of Tavros and none are wrong so just go at it yo.

Adorable. Nepeta is adorable and probably the most innocent character in Homestuck... If you don't count all of the game she's hunted down. Her voice would be a bit higher pitched, probably a baby like voice.
